  1. Did you not see the Irony in the post above my first here? He said he doesn't think MARPAT is pretty enough, but is looking for something to use in woodland. Now MARPAT is really good in woodland. And if he was only looking for something pretty, why does it matter what environment he will play in?
  2. Man, the censorship totally ruins my last post.
  3. Who the *fruitcage* do you seriously think you are? Are you really a *fruitcage* *beep* or does that computer screen between you give you the balls to act like a ###### head? Because in the real world that *beep* doesn't fly without consequences. So why don't you wear your Sunday best to a match one day so you can look good instead of using what works.
  4. This isn't the 1700's, prettiest uniform doesn't win anymore.
  5. Well this replaced the luger, which was made famous by the Nazis.
  6. Well then what was it? Issued means they gave it to people, it was given to people and they used it. Which constitutes issued in my book.
  7. "In 1900 the US purchased 1000 Lugers (in 7.65 mm) for field trials, on the heels of a Late 1890s/1900 competition that included the Colt M1900, Steyr Mannlicher M1894, and an entry from Mauser. Later, a small number were sampled in the then brand new, more powerful 9 mm round. Field experience in the Philippines and ballistic tests would result in a requirement for even bigger/larger rounds. Further trials and testing by the US of a variety of pistols, including a DWM entry, would eventually lead to adoption of the M1911." And the single action army was issued, Patton had custom ones.
  8. They were issued and used in the Philippines. They were not widely issued, but where.
  9. The US military issued the Luger before Germany did.
  10. I don't know what to call it.
  11. Well technically everything is radioactive. Just in varying degrees.
  12. Do you guys think that airsoft ak's are accurate enough to use this? http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ARR082-20984-2714.html Allows you to attach m4/m16/ar15 stocks to almost an ak.
  13. Yes, you would in fact it is the most common thing you will see because well you won't see or hear about the Special Operations stuff. The regular stuff goes on all the time, you don't think England and Australia operate all their own military bases in Iraq do you?
  14. Tell the Canadian prime minister that! http://www.cbc.ca/story/news/national/2003...iers030327.html http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?s_name=&no_ads http://auto_sol.tao.ca/node/view/2119
  15. The only changes the are internals and a new magazine. So yes, it is all upper receiver. The external changes can be done to a regular m4.
  16. A Canadian would wear a different uniform because their government has publicly said they won't send troops to Iraq. And no, the IR flag is not brighter green, I have one on several uniforms.
  17. But they aren't normally that bright of a green.
  18. IR stands for Infrared. Light in those wavelengths is not visible to a regular camera or the human eye. Your turn.
  19. Must of been a bad batch then. They aren't supposed to do that.
  20. My dads unit in Iraq. 822nd MP company. They had the shoulder and groin stuff, didn't wear it. Didn't really like the plates. Followed Marines in, forgot who, they didn't like them either. British guys that came with them thought they were crazy for wearing hard body armor. So tell those Marines in that discussion it doesn't make a huge difference. BTW, it just looks stupid. I would take it off.
  21. The interceptor body Armor, that American troops are only authorized to wear, is rated to stop a 9mm round. The plates, if properly used in the proper amounts have the possibility of stopping up to three 7.62x51mm rounds. With that amount of armor the vest can weight up to 45 pounds, which most soldiers opt out of and prefer mobility. http://forums.military.com/eve/forums/a/tp...20022060001/p/1 There is an article somewhere where 101st soldiers decided not to wear them.
  22. If an AK was shooting at you those vests wouldn't stop the round anyway. They are only designed to stop 9mm rounds. Plus those are probably pictures taken when they probably hadn't been in country very long. Get pictures of their gear 8 months after deployment.
  23. Take off the that bottom pad. Those get in the way. Either that or tuck it in.
