  1. I have just finished upgrading my trigger set with the TS Custom cnc wire-cut steel hammer, sear and a type 1 steel match grade trigger supplied by Airsoft123. Before the upgrade and after my recent CO2 conversion my semi had become inconsistent firing auto bursts on some shots. I decided to see if these upgrades solved the problem. I have just been out to test after the rebuild and the issue is exactly the same. So like a couple of other people recently I would really like some feedback and any suggestions. I still can't get over the amount of kick the CO2 conversion has introduced when eve
  2. Ordered online 2/7 Shipped and email tracking received 3/7 Left country for UK 4/7 Arrived 7/7
  3. I have just received my upgrade trigger parts from Airsoft123, very fast and efficient service thanks. I could do with some links for the best information on takedown and assembly of the trigger unit. Thanks for any help people can give.
  4. I seem to recall that during the very early days of this thread some of the V1 rifles received had different threads. I don't think the Socom Gear version was shipping at the time. That being said they could also be using a different outer barrel/specification.
  5. After a nice long break in Scotland and a couple of days catching up with pages and pages of posts I have some new questions. My CO2 conversion kit arrived today (a big thank you must go to my supplier) along with a couple of CO2 mags. Having finished the upgrade I have fired six full mags with a few post upgrade teething troubles. Rifle is jumping between semi and full when only semi is selected now, I suspect this might be the force of the recoil. The front o-ring on the shiny new CO2 nozzle is getting punished and squashed out somehow, I suspect a few more mags would shred it. I assume this
  6. It has been announced that the new SCAR will come with CO2 specification components regardless of the actual version ordered. I would therefore assume that the M4 & M16 variants have already or will shortly start leaving the factory CO2 ready regardless of the magazine included. For the moment DO NOT ASSUME that any Gas rifle currently bought will be CO2 ready! check with your supplier directly or open it up and check the fitted parts.
  7. There are actually more than 2 "revisions". A good start would be to read the Wiki article on Rifle Versions.
  8. I just checked my 2 gas mags and both are as I expected the earlier design. These pictures of the newer design show a substantially upgraded magazine. I intend to use CO2 as my primary choice and my first 2 mags were for testing, although they would also be handy as back-up mags. Taking everything into account I am not confident enough to use my 2 earlier mags on exercise.
  9. Must be this hot weather and the beers
  10. You might have been a bit too literal in your interpretation on this Chris, I think he was referring to the full real steel range of components i.e. the MOE hand guards, grips, stocks etc. There are very few UK suppliers with stock of the RS items due to US export restrictions and current worldwide stock. You can get the RS MIAD from the Southern Gun Company (I can dig a link out later if you need it). CTR stocks are hard to come by as are the hand guards. The best alternative is for a good friend to send you a present from the US. I have the RS MOE hand guard (had to make some minor
  11. @WETTI Thanks for taking the time to post during what must be a very busy period for you. That might explain the slight bleed I get at the moment, I do however get a bleed from the top and bottom of the spine. I could also be filling the mags too full but to be honest I'm not sure how to measure this. It would be really helpful to understand exactly what should and shouldn't be expected of the WE M4 gas mag and the illustrated pic would be a useful start. Glad everything is going well, I am looking forward to further feedback! More importantly I am looking forwar
  12. Valid heat concerns aside I need to know what we consider to be an acceptable seal. WETTI stated that trying to completely seal the mags is not a good idea as the design allows for high pressure bleeding. I recently had to dismantle and fix both my mags due to poor factory assembly; I can explain how if anyone is interested. Having fixed the first issue I submerged both filled mags in water to test and I have very slight leaks out of the top and bottom points of the long back seal. I have assumed this should not be the case, but taking the official statement I don't want to fully seal the mag.
  13. I bought some aluminium rails for my RS Magpul MOE hand guard eBay link to actual product. The rails themselves are fine but the bolts are too short for the bottom rail point on the RS guard and the quality of the allen key socket is variable at best i.e. each bolt uses a different size or is very tight. Could anyone recommend a good place to obtain some alternative bolts in the UK? preferably in black.
  14. Just to clear things up Horizon are indeed unable to take orders until August but this has nothing to do with the business, ATF testing etc. I can't discuss it but they have my best wishes and support.
  15. The chrome barrel is a precision upgrade to the standard barrel. I would imagine the CO2 rifle will come fitted with the standard barrel and revised hop-up.
  16. I have previously wondered about the quality of the pot metal used for the standard gas mags as it does damage very easily. I would really like to see an official response from WETTI as I now feel this is a very real safety concern. Has this problem been acknowledged? Are the CO2 mags made using the same material? Has the spec already been changed on the gas mags? Is this a known fault with a particular batch? Etc. One of my ops last year saw six sections waiting in bright sunshine under a clear blue sky for the helis to arrive and it was damn hot. It's standard practice to remove everyth
  17. Since a single CO2 bulb appears to realistically manage about 40 to 50 rounds I will be forced to change the bulb every 30 shots to ensure a full mag can be fired. It might be an idea to have the CO2 mag capable of storing and firing say 45 i.e. the maximum number of shots a single CO2 bulb can offer with the ability to lock it at 30 if required. This might be done by some kind of switch controlling the spring or bb chamber length in use (I think something similar was done on the new blowback TM M4). That way standard airsoft players get more use and more rounds for less carry weight but train
  18. I think somegirls might be talking about the outer barrel.
  19. This looks very interesting. Is this compatible with the new CO2 nozzle? What is the TS Custom adjustable device made from? How does the device hold it's setting when in use?
  20. Sometimes when I watch a new film I compare it with old favourites. Then I decide to actually dig out an old favourite and try it out. At this point the rose tinted glasses come off and I see just where things have improved or moved on. I actually did this yesterday with my primary electric AEG (ICS M4 based) and the WE M4. I have a real problem now, I don't like my AEG anymore I still have a bit of work to do on my WE before it can replace my AEG though. As it stands I have an event rifle and a WIP (work in progress) Tactical Carbine rifle. Would I buy the WE M4 right now... YES. I tr
  21. A full 30rds on full auto, that would be fantastic. One problem, you might upset a few of my team members and their bank accounts
  22. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but: 1) As I understand it the latest factory version (let's not talk version numbers) includes a standard brass barrel with new hop-up, the polished chrome 6.02 barrel with new hop-up is an upgrade part as you would expect with any normal AEG tight bore barrel. 2) The distance from the chrono is normal. I am not sure what the fps problem could be but I would personally start by stripping, cleaning and lubricating using the wiki guides. Other thoughts I would have with my limited experience would be too much gunk, a misaligned or loose
  23. Well I finally managed to assemble my CQBR version. Firstly to top off the day one of my two mags has decided to spring a non stop leak from the outlet valve. Secondly as mentioned earlier I still can't get the bird cage to line up in CQBR config. Here are some other observations: 1) As previously mentioned one of the fake trigger pins on the lower is missing, I can see that red bond they use but no fake part (god knows where to get one of these from) 2) I have fitted the type 2 anti-rotation pins so I could do with this 'pin' to hook it over, only time will tell if the missing part cau
  24. Thanks for the feedback. I have just finished doing pretty much what you describe. I had to hammer the spare guide rod casing through the stabiliser to remove some of the internal material. Then I sanded to a polish both the guide rod casing rough edges and the internal faces of the stabiliser. I had to fit and unfit everything a couple of times to amend the polish and fit but have just finished fitting it. Well that was fun!
  25. OK next problem. Just tried to put my valve guide stabiliser on, the internal diameter appears way too small for the two guide rods I have so I am struggling. Will another be the same I wonder? How have others found this fit? How have you gotten round this issue? I am having a very bad day trying to get this done.
