  1. Ok I finally managed to get my outer barrel front end off (not without some damage to the paint ) But I have another minor issue with the CQBR stabiliser and the flash hider. Which way round does the stabiliser go? might seem like a daft question but no matter how I try I can't get the flash hider bird cage to line up correctly. Any advice would be appreciated.
  2. I still havn't managed to get the front end off my outer barrel, it really is stuck on there. Having read these last couple of posts I decided to double check the bubble wrap my CQBR barrel came in for this CQBR adapter. It's a damn good job I don't bin wrapping as sure enough I found the damn thing
  3. I would suggest the following is demanded of AB: 1) Send a photo of your broken upper with a printed piece of paper stating your username and date included in the photo to AB 2) Ask AB to send a replacement for the upper to you asap and free of charge, you should not have to pay for shipping a replacement part 3) I see no point in sending the broken upper back providing the photo evidence is provided as such. As somebody already said the broken upper will more than likely end up in a bin. I am sure that WETTI could step up to this and support AB in the replacement process. Let's
  4. Yes that's the one I actually noticed it was missing because I also bought the same anti rotation pins. As you know they are designed to sit on top of the part I am missing to hold position. I guess I need to find something as a replacement.
  5. I just noticed that the pin first above the trigger on the lower recevier is fake? (not removed the trigger unit to confirm). Can anyone confirm this is the case and also confirm if there is a fake pin piece glued on either side of the receiver. I think one of these fake glued pieces is missing on mine. WETTI??? if this is the case can you get hold of another fake part (I dont have the tools to cut one)?
  6. Well I took a punt based on your positive comment and ordered one! just need to remove the front part of my outer barrel so I can assemble my rifle again. It's not wanting to budge!
  7. Just received my chrome barrel and spare hop rubber. As Otto mentioned the situation with the new hop rubber is an absolute joke, I for one demand a couple of free replacements. One for the already installed and out of shape hop rubber and another for the so called spare which is a totally different size and also out of shape. I am starting to lose patience here!!! I would suggest somebody take the actual spec sheet and drawing down to the factory producing these hop up rubbers to find out what the hell is going on.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, nice to know I am not going insane
  9. I just dismantled my inner barrel for the first time and I only have one bearing part #110, where is the second? on another note can/should #117 be removed? **** edit **** I can only assume that the WE exploded diagram shows a different revision of the hop assembly, mine matches the recent diagram produced by coco (excellent work). I cant seem to find part #109 or bearing #108 **** edit ****
  10. My RS Magpul enhanced trigger guard arrived today and I am sad/surprised to say it doesn't fit. WETTI had mentioned in an earlier post that the RS Magpul enhanced trigger guard was used to get pin placement right. But the holes on my lower are out of position The front pin hole is also the wrong size but that could easily be resolved if the position was correct. Has anyone else managed to fit one of these parts?
  11. If you read back a few pages I think WETTI replied with a statement suggesting all CO2 spec rifles would still accept the gas mags. That would refer to new CO2 rifles or a gas rifle upgraded to CO2 spec
  12. I have to agree. I would like a new v3 CO2 and already have the SCAR (confirmed release) and the SD6 (unconfirmed release) on my radar. For the odd troll or two out there I suppose this shows just how small my problems have been! @WETTI Just so you know I had to revise my reply to DiscoBiscuits post somewhat (I was also quite annoyed) and would just like to send my thanks and support again. Keep up the good work.
  13. Have I never had a problem with my WE M4? No my charging handle broke, it was one of the early ones so this was expected. Additionally I had to make very minor mods to both gas mags to get the bolt catch to work and they both leaked on the first use (then sealed). This does obviously lend some credence to your argument, the charging handle issue was quickly recognised and rectified by WE. These are the only issues that relate to the quality of my rifle. I took time when it arrived to give it a delivery inspection and tweak before pulling the trigger for the first time. And since then I have fo
  14. I am not sure if they ship outside of the UK but this is the site I bought my MIAD from: Southern Gun Company (UK) as previously mentioned this is the BASIC kit and not the FULL kit, the title on the product description is incorrect. Magpul are unable to export any weapon parts including sling mounts, grips, stocks etc. due to US ITAR restrictions (google it). They can ship the slings (I have a couple on the way) but you will have to find a friend in the US to help with the other bits. My sling mounts and RS hand guard have been helped to the UK by a good friend
  15. Just to clarify I am not talking about the pistol grip, rather the actual MOE hand guard replacement. The RS version I have goes on well but has a slight rotational movement.
  16. I added the Magpul MIAD Basic Grip yesterday (bought from Southern Gun Company in the UK). I really wanted the full kit but the web site product entry is wrong, the title states full kit but the description for the item is clearly the basic kit It fits like a glove and is a huge improvement over the stock grip IMHO. Only thing to note is that the original stock bolt must be used and not the Magpul bolt supplied, but it doesn't affect anything. No pics yet, sorry. Also received and fitted my 7075 charging handle from AB, very good fit and machined out of a single piece. Finish on latch c
  17. I have a LAT piston head on the way so I would be really interested in knowing the results if you decide to try the stock o-ring. Like a few others I recently tried the TSC Enhanced Buffer. Well its a nice colour and the finish of the rubber is good. But it really does bugger all. That and I don't fancy being all sneaky at 2am when the weight bangs about. The TSC bolt catch plates work well for me. But I had managed to fix my mags so the stock ones were doing a reasonable job. The TSC ones do however feel more solid in use... strange.
  18. (reference to RS charging handle) This has been discussed many times over the past few months and most people would NOT recommend using a RS charging handle out of the box. It does work but not correctly and can affect the SOPs. The best current options are the recently released steel or 7075 charging handles available from AB or the pre-modified (as per wiki article) and upgraded (latch replaced with larger tactical version) RS charging handles from Horizon Tactical. I know this is now one huge discussion but I really suggest you at least search old posts or read the wiki. The wiki co
  19. So a few thoughts. I just ordered a new batch of parts from AB to get my M4 running & improved including a new 7075 charging handle (the terrible early POT charging handle finally failed and my gun in out of action ) and the LAT Aluminium Piston Head. I am waiting patiently for the CO2 mags as this should be the ideal solution for the UK weather. But to spread the cost I thought about upgrading to the steel valve assembly in advance. Since I just recently lost my job I decided to hold out. Thankfully as it turns out. I appreciate that the CO2 solution needs to be very safe/reliable
  20. Excellent news glad to see that my guide worked for someone else
  21. Your points are indeed valid. The stock steel carrier will provide the normal cycle rate and strong recoil. It won't use more gas as this should always be the same. That being said in low temperature conditions or when gas in the mag is low the cycle cannot be completed and things get messy. The aluminium carrier would produce a faster cycle rate at the expense recoil but should be less affected by temperature changes in the environment or the gun. I did hear rumours that under certain circumstances the aluminium carrier was cycling too fast and causing jams, double feeds etc. I would still li
  22. The stock bolt carrier is steel and I assume this is the spare part.
  23. Let's not jump to conclusions here. My #42 (brass) can be moved around if you try (this is a low power assembly). That being said there have, as you mentioned, been problems with #42 reported earlier in the thread. I am not sure we ever had enough detail to ascertain the actual cause though. Some pictures for the experts of this thread to review (not me) might be a good starting point. It is indeed a shame that nodoby at TS1 noticed the missing #45 before shipping
  24. Not sure what we all think of lubricated CO2 cartridges but here is another good value option: 25 x Crossman CO2
  25. Serious carrot dangling like this should simply not be allowed!!! Just ordered my 7075 charging handle, black unfortunately but at least it should be strong and light. AB seems to be back on form
