  1. It's a bit too expensive for me to bother with a second box mag I think.

That's one of the reasons I was disappointed with a lack of a space for M16 mags, as they would be cheap and easy to carry compared to a spare boxmag. Plus I already have M16 mags.

    Oh well.

  2. Weight isn't really an issue as I'm in good shape and can always attach a sling.

I only carry 340 for my main anyway. I rarely get through that. 2500 will seem like loads.

I guess it might go down quick with support fire though...

I'll have to think about it.

EDIT: Actually, has anyone seen any spare box mags for a STAR M249 anywhere?

I've looked on Zero One and others.

Maybe they are not out yet?

  3. Damn. I really want one of these.

My 18th is coming up, so I'm tempted to ask for a CA249, but I think this may be more reasonable.

The lack of M16 mag accepting ability (yep, dodgey English) put me off a little, but how likely am I to go through 2500 rounds?

Is it cheeky to ask for one for my 18th?

  4. Battleships will get my vote.

Otherwise, yeh, it's a good idea.

EDIT: Or we can just post a link on the main page to the most addictive thing I've ever seen, also known as ''Hell of Sand''.

It's just so damn ... addictive.

  5. These are the best photos I can find (the others are real photo's, of which I can't find any way to get onto my computer).

They show my loadout minus the holsters and a few pouches (they were taken a while ago), and my bayonet fell off, and it was a very hot day, so I had no jacket on or black woolie (as I usually would). And it was after very little sleep, which is why my eyes look so bad.

And I've had a haircut since then ;).

    Anyway:

  6. Oo, I might buy a FAMAS now, seeing as they can be quite cheap.

I like the bog-standard look of them though. No RD, no scope, no M203 etc.

EDIT: The very first pic in the thread is how I like it :P. Though its kind of pointless me saying this as you all know what a standard FAMAS looks like...

  7. And to other Americans. I am 95% sure they only need an orange tip to be sold. After all Ameirca has no specific laws reguarding airsoft yet anyway.

Are you entirely sure on this? Why then do people who ship guns into the US have to have the trademarks 'removed' and the orange tips attached? I'm sure CYMA still count as AEG.
