As I remember, the M4 open bolts were less consistent - I could very well be wrong though, it was a long time ago! Not sure how to tell on the flash hiders though - read some people saying they are 16mm -, some people saying 14mm +, etc. Ben.

Well... It depends what we're talking here. Power-wise, you'll do better with the normal closed bolt system. This has already been covered when the open bolt was first introduced. The open bolt apparently has a much better HOP system, however. Did we ever establish what the thread on the WE SCAR's flash hider was? Looking at a tracer unit, and need to know if it fits... Ben.

We have the same tattoo! Awesome! Mine's on my right upper arm. I had my new one done recently - the tattooist was a bit ######, so I'm hoping to have it touched up in the near future, but it came out alright. No pictures yet though Ben.

Used to find that with the Tanaka sniper rifles. I think it's something to do with the speed of gas expansion within the magazine/the shape of the gas chamber in the mag. Skirmish solution? Load your mags, and fire the first couple of shots into a tree/bush/n00b. Rest of the shots were usually ok. Ben.

Anyone know when the SCAR is coming out?! I've been debating the CQBR for ages now - but could never really justify the price. The SCAR, however, is my favourite platform. Also, will Magpul Ranger Plates fit SOCOM mags? Ben.

I have the lightweight bolt carrier and the NPAS, which seems to be a fairly common configuration. That way you up your ROF and gas efficiency, and also have the power to adjust the FPS. Ben.

My internals aren't 'shoddy', and so far I haven't replaced anything except the bolt carrier - purely because I wanted the lightweight one. It's my experience that nobody can convince you to go GBBR. You either know you have to do it, or you don't. Ben.

Getting my next tattoo on Saturday. Thing is, I've got one on my right arm, and now I can't decide whether I want the new one on my left forearm, or my right forearm. I'd prefer the right forearm, but I'm worried I'll go all OCD and feel unbalanced, and then have to get one on my left forearm to balance it out. Ben.

It's not 'some people' leaving loads of negative rep though, is it? You can only change the reputation of a single post once, ever. You can only give rep points a certain number of times a day. Keeping those two facts in mind, when you go through a thread and see a post with, say, - 7 rep points, it means seven seperate people thought it warranted a negative rep. It could be more - perhaps 10 people gave negative rep, and then three other people who browsed the thread later didn't think it deserved it, so added a positive rep point each, leaving - 7 rep. Is there no way we can make it viewable from a profile, perhaps a little pop-up box like Warns, or an extra page altogether? People who make valuable contributions to threads can then still receive recognition for it, and by the same token people who repeatedly make irrelevant, abusive, or unintelligible posts will realise it. It's still useful to know someone's rep, but I agree that a big red or green bar at the top of the profile page doesn't tell the whole story, and potential buyers could be put off, or whatever. Ben.
