  1. Anybody got any tips for photographing tropical fish? Just got a tank, and finding it hard to know where to put my flashguns, what settings to use, etc? Ben.
  2. I could so use one of those for my modern-day zombie D20 campaign. Ben.
  3. I don't use full-auto, but you need to leave gaps between bursts if you do to combat cooldown. I usually get two and a half mags of semi auto out of one complete fill of green gas. I tend to leave gaps between shots which isn't much of a problem, as it's fairly accurate - at close to medium ranges on the field, the SCAR normally hits what I'm aiming at with between one and three shots. Ben.
  4. Well, maybe not the best console ever (Neo Geo FTW!), but awesome, nonetheless. Ben.
  5. Just skirmished mine for the fourth time. 30 - 40 kills over the day, 6 - 7 mags expended. One jam, due to chipped ammo, but easily sorted out (I did it still in the field). Lube the chamber with plenty of silicone and it works great. Ben.
  6. I have never bought anything from them, and never will - all down to repeated stories of shoddy service. I put them in the same retailer service bracket as the now defunct Airsoft Dynamics. I have to admit though, I am partial to Recon Rag - especially if it's a redhead model Ben.
  7. Waiting 'til I see the C02 mags appear before I put an order in for one. Anybody take a look at that 20/30 round magazine conversion yet? Is it as I said, swapping the feed spring? Ben.
  8. I've handled and shot AGM, KJW, and WE M4's, all on multiple occasions, in shops and at skirmishes. The KJW impressed me in its performance and consistency on the chrono, but not in the fit and finish. It just feels the most plasticky and the worst built. If that's upsetting because you own one, fair enough. It just does to me. Back OT now, although anyone wishing to convince me otherwise can PM me. Ben.
  9. It just felt like a toy. Which it is, so no surprise there, then. Wasn't a fan of the plasticky Thermold-esque magazines, either. Off-Topic now, though. This is a discussion for the KJW M4 thread. Ben.
  10. Not in this new age of 'Full Metal' airsoft guns it's not. Also, I found it to be very light, and I wasn't too sure on the finish. Ben.
  11. What CAN you drop in it? Nobody makes parts for it The KJW is actually alright - I've seen one. Plastic as you like though. Ben.
  12. Which will be never... As they use gas. If you want to skirmish it, every GBB platform out there needs a load of cash dropped into it before you can. WE GBBR's are the most out of the box ready, being able to accept green gas and CO2 in stock form, and having some steel internals, etc. Ben.
  13. I've found it to be an excellent gun, and I had a WE M16A3, which was also awesome. With the SCAR, if you try winding the HOP on a little too far, the BB's will start to jam in the chamber. Ben.
  14. Did you get round to taking the picture of the trigger group? Ben.
  15. Yes, I can prove that WE release two versions of the gun. One has no trades and a low-flow nozzle, the other has trades and a normal nozzle. Check with any retailer you want. There are no other differences, and you do no better perpetuating the myth of an 'improved', or 'professional' version of the rifle, because there isn't one. 'A.W.S.S.' means nothing more that 'GBBR' - WE even say that indirectly on their website. Ben.
  16. I thought SOCOMGear was WE as well? The plot thickens. Well, there you have it. To be honest, I've never seen a difference between a WE and a so-called WETTI receiver, so I couldn't say, but as far as I'm concerned, they're all one and the same thing. And I still think this thread belongs in the WE SCAR review thread Ben.
  17. I'd go even further than that. WE and WETTI are the same thing. The no-trade and lo-flow valve versions are for some countries, trades and normal valves for others. That's it. No other differences. The only differences in internal parts come from different versions due to improvements made after release. Ben.
  18. Unless you can prove a difference, I don't think you can claim any of the above either. Of course WE are going to perpetuate the myth, as they're still trying to sell the two different versions. I never mentioned anything about 'scamming people'. Show me these upgraded internals? Ben.
  19. They are in different catagories on the website, in my opinion, to create the illusion of a special simulation version to sell to law enforcement/military/silly people. For example, in your case; The packaging is the same as mine. The trademarks are the same as mine. The body is anodised, same as mine. The internals are the same as mine. The steel parts such as the bolt catch are the same as mine. The only thing you haven't posted a good picture of is the trigger group. But I'll guess at it being the same as mine again. Ben.
  20. I think Wolf Armouries might have them. If I were you though, I'd give Mark at Tactical Quartermaster a bell, and see when he'll be getting them in. Best service I've had so far by a long shot. Ben.
  21. I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same. 'A.W.S.S.' (Advanced Weaponary Simulator System) is just WE's term for their GBBR line. It even says so on their website. Your internals are identical to mine. Plus, we already have a WE SCAR review thread. Ben.
  22. I think there should also be a post count limit before you're allowed to give feedback. Not really sure if it's worth the hassle though - most people don't even pay attention to the bloody thing. Ben.
  23. I see what you're saying with that, but I still think a nice clear set of rules as regards feedback would be the way to go, and would negate problems such as this. Going with your example, if I sold you a PTW (urgh.... PTW's ) and the condition was not as described, you should then post a thread in the 'Problems With Sales' sub-forum, and not jump straight to spamming my profile with negative feedback. Any negative feedback that is proven to be unwarranted could be removed by the mods. As to whether this would mean a heap of extra work for the moderating team or not... It'd have to
  24. You two have just demonstrated what is actually wrong with a rep system - mates 'vouching' for each other, and then ripping people off on the back of good feedback. I think there should be clear guidelines on what you can and can't give feedback for. 'Frogfish is a great bloke' might well be a true statement (sure it is ), but it doesn't deserve a rep point does it? 'Frogfish helped me with my XXXX AEG problem' or 'I had a smooth trade with Frogfish' on the other hand perhaps do warrant rep points. Negative feedback should work the same way. Just because YOU don't like someone does
