  1. Leapers makes the rail. Its a very tight fit and had to be tapped into place with a rubber mallet. One of the holes was a bit off as well, but was easily solved with a drill by widening the hole.

  2. No I didn't, when I put it on I didn't know the damn thing came off, so I tried to remove the HK one, and it'll tear apart if I do that. So I guess I have to leave as is, I know it's a little lifted in some parts.

  3. Just received mine from Airsoft GI last night! It chrono'ed at a little over 350. I'm going to have to buy more gas and silicon oil to shoot this thing as much as I'd like. I was amazed at how light the gun was and how heavy the magazines were. The mag weighs almost as much as one of my steel AK47 magazines fully loaded with 7.62x39mm Soviet. There are a few parts I'm concerned about though.

First are the tabs on the magazines, these are known to break on AEG magazines with prolonged use. The material on the magazines appears much stronger than those used on AEG mags, but these magazines are much heavier, and will probably be treated rougher.

Second is the charging handle. I've broken two on AEGs, on the CA G36C and CA G36 respectively, I'm worried the same could happen here. I know it's strong, but on the AEG versions, it's a very tiny piece of plastic that wraps around a pin on the metal piece that sits above the bolt itself and connects the bolt to the charging handle.

Last but not least, I'm worried about the rear sling mount. Can that little piece of plastic hold the gun up, fully loaded with maybe optics and a tac light on a one point sling all day long without breaking?

    Thoughts, experiences, or reassurances?

I had mine slung with my 1 point SOG sling on sunday. Worked like a charm and I even transitioned and everything. In fact, I dove into a bush, slammed the gun on the ground which in turn hit my chin, and it still performed flawlessly.

  4. Quick question to you all. Gun shoots great and I really like it, however I have noticed one thing. On the second to the last shot of my mag, I noticed it sounds much different from the rest of the shots, like it isn't as powerful (recoil wise) as the others. I don't know why this is, but I have noticed it. Does anyone else have this problem? What causes this? Thanks.

  5. to we m4 gurus:

my full auto sear seems to have a problem. when the hammer is pulled back, it catches the full auto sear. i have to switch to semi auto then the hammer would release.

    any ideas?

I don't have a WE, but I did have a kjw m4 that was having the same problem. My problem was caused by a foreign object that lodged itself under the sear/selector. An oring blew off my nozzle and landed under there, perhaps that could be your problem to.

  6. Anakchan, back on page 6 you posted a picture of your G39c with an eotech 553. When I saw it I fell in love and that was the deciding factor of me getting a WE G39c over another armalite. I hope you don't mind, but I ordered a black 553 as well :P

  7. Had a major failure today. The tabs on my upper receiver broke off from normal shooting, now my gun won't stay closed. Anyways, I am about to start my new career, so airsofting may not be in my future. I plan to sell everything KJW GBBR related and just buy an aeg to have when I need it. If you want anything let me know. Will post my for sale thread soon.

  8. He says 60 some early in his post so about 15 Celsius, seems odd as that should have been ok for duster. Suppose it depends on air pressure and humidity too I'd think.

I noticed with my first GBB pistol I could go to 10 Celsius fine if it was dry but on a wet day it would be useless below about 15 Celsius. Perhaps there are other weather factors at work than just the temperature.

Darn, can't believe I missed that, thanks weekenny.

  9. Maybe it's different in the UK, but here, people have a 1st amendment, which allows them to speak their mind freely.. I'm entitled to my opinion, just like everyone else. I dont have to like yours, and you don't have to like mine. Let's just leave it at that and get back to the discussion at hand.

Correct, but being a douche bag while exercising your 1st amendment rights really won't get anyone to agree with your opinion. All I am saying is let the guy do what he wants to his gun. I changed my dust cover on my kjw m4, are you going to b*tch at me too?

Snoopy: What was the temperature outside when you were using duster gas?

  10. Couple of quick questions guys.......

Firstly, thinking of getting a Magpul B.A.D Lever. But do I get the WA/G&P one or the WE/PTW version? (or doesn't it matter?)

Secondly, going to get a replacement dust cover as the original is too grey in colour for my liking. Any reccomendations?

Loving this rifle more and more. Touch wood no major issues so far, even the hop is working well (guess I was lucky)

Still deciding on a final setup but considering the range and accuracy, it's probably going to end up as the perfect DMR.

    Number 47

WA dust covers will fit with minor filing. I have one of the America F**K yeah! dust covers on my KJW.

To Andrew, chill out. Airsoft is a fashion statement for a large part of the airsoft community. If no one cared what their gear or weapons looked like, then we wouldn't have people putting together Seal, MFR, and other Spec ops. kits. If he wants a different dust cover then so be it, it's his gun. If he wants the entire kjw m4 to be pink with purple polka dots, then let him. Who are you to jump down someone's throat because they want to change the dust cover on their weapon. Very, very immature on your part, in my opinion.

  11. I'm thinking one of the sears catches and wont release the hammer...busted sear possibly.

Have you been running propane/green gas?

Fixed that problem, the O ring from the cradle velocity reducer broke and landed under the selector switch/sear. However, now my selector switch is really loose when I put my pistol grip back on. Also, the spring slides all the way inside the hole now, there is nothing giving it resistance, how do Ifix this. Lastly, the selector doesn't click into place, it just moves freely when the grip and spring are installed. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Edit: Fixed it, didn't realize the detent pin for the spring/selector fell out. Was able to find it scouring my carpet on hands and knees.

  12. Ran into my first problem today. When using my weapon it wouldn't cycle after I ran about 20 mags through it today. What happens is I drop the hammer by pulling the charging handle, and it goes back like it should. However, it will only fire when I ATTEMPT to put it into safe and then back to semi. When cocked, the gun will not go into auto or safe, only semi. I will take a video later to better show what I mean. Basically the hammer stays back, but the trigger won't release the hammer unless I try to put it into safe then back to semi. Any help would be very appreciated.

  15. Really? Hope we are talking about the same thing...Raven1 and I took mine down after I got it three weeks ago and He said it was already done enough not to bother. I have seen him grind down one before, it was more vast than the stock one, but it looks to be about 2-3mm worth off the back of the buffer retainer

Yep, we are talking about the same thing. Mine wasn't don't and neither was Weekenny's. Cool that your's was already done though.

  16. I'm talking about the gun, not the mags. The mags are back in stock all over every week or so, just need to grab them when you can.

I'll be trying to import some mags here shortly, but its tough, even KJ can't keep up.

Make sure to take some pics of the plastic upper. How much was it shipped?

I understand you are talking about the guns, I am just letting the "question asker" know that he should contact airsplat before making an order with them because they do not update their stock regularly.

Also, I had to dremel my own buffer lock. It didn't come stock from the factory "ground down". It isn't a hard job at all, but it doesn't come already done either. Mine is a CQBR as well and is less than 2 months old.

  17. It's always been in stock at airsplat. I would rather pay a few bucks more and know my stuff isn't going to get held up or seized in customs.

You sure they have been in stock? I emailed them when it said their KJW m4 mags were "in stock" and they informed me that they were in fact not in stock. Airsplat.com sucks when it comes to that kind of stuff.

  18. Remove the retractable stock.

    Loosen the 1.5mm hex screw.

Remove the buffer tube's end cap.

    Slide off the buffer tube.

    Tighten the brass tube.

    Slide in the buffer tube.

Install and tighten the buffer tube's end cap.

    Tighten the 1.5mm hex screw.

    Install the retractable stock.

    This should fix your wobble.

Thanks snoopy for the info. It took quite a bit of trial and error, since I didn't know you could over tighten that gold tube, which then made pulling the BCG quite a bit tougher/it caused a lot of resistance on the BCG, which I don't think is normal. Eventually after playing around by unscrewing and screwing, I got it nice and tight with no wobble and no noticeable difference when pulling back the BCG. Thanks again to all. Also, I put a bit of locktite on the gold tube when I screwed it into the receiver, this shouldn't do any harm right? I made sure none got on the BCG or anything. Thanks again to all.
