  1. Figured out I need the V2 NPAS as its a CO2 gun. Whats the advantage of the open bolt kit? To be honest I'm looking to sell the rifle so not too bothered about spending loads on it - just thought with the NPAS it would be easier to sell.
  2. Hi peeps - hopefully someone can help me. I've lost track of where everything is with these GBBRs now!! I have a WE M16 Co2 version that I purchased in 2009. Its been sat on top of my wardrobe as good as new since then! I'd like to get hold of a NPAS for it - can anyone suggest the best place nowadays to order from? Would mine be a version 1 or 2 and how can I check? It really has been long enough for me to forget most of what I knew about these!! Many thanks
  3. The wiki says this about the hop-up components.... "Take note when reassembling that the hopup ramp (#115) should be positioned so that the thin lip (pictured) is sitting against the adjustment collar (#113)." So correct me if I'm wrong but I think this means that if you turn the adjustment collar downwards when looking at the ejection port (or anti clockwise if looking down the barrel) it will REDUCE the amount of hop applied - correct? Just did this on mine just now and it works a treat.
  4. Anyone else having this problem? I can't even force them down any further with a screwdriver as they just get stuck. I can't see exactly whats causing it - any ideas?
  5. Yeah I found this too. A PTW carry handle would not tighten enough to fit snuggly on my WE M16 - it was loose enough to rattle around a bit.
  6. Used my M16 at a skirmish for the first time today. Only had .25g bb's - they flew about 20m straight and then just went vertical - this was with the hop wound right off! Same for mates CQBR. So it was pretty unusable like that and I will be trying heavier bb's next time. I have a problem with 2 out of my 5 mags where the plastic bb follower gets stuck about the 3rd of the way down in the channel. I took one apart and the plastic follower moves in the channel ok without the spring but fitting the spring and its get stuck on the way down. Need to have a closer look at this but I'm won
  7. I was thinking what might have damaged the end of your nozzle and it could because you have the nozzle/bolt forward when loading a full mag. From the wiki 'best practice' page ( http://wem4guide.wikidot.com/best-practices ) ....
  8. Do you mean the end that pushes the bb into the barrel? If so are you locking the bolt back before inserting a full magazine?
  9. Not sure what else it could be. A guy on the SCAR thread is getting 3 mags worth out of 1 CO2 bulb - isn't that supposed to have the same internals? Wonder why the inconsistency between units?
  10. Make sure the hole in part 112 (valve housing) that the CO2 passes thorugh is aligned centrally so that outlet on the mag lines up with it perfectly. My part 112 was loose and when the holes didnlt line up I was getting less than a mag out of each CO2 bulb - now I'm getting 2 mags worth. (See page 285 - mine and Nazios posts). Not sure why this affects the gas consumption as surely the same amount of gas is being released from the mag each hammer strike? You'd think it would only affect the amount of CO2 being put down the barrel! Or have I completely misunderstood things??!!
  11. This is the point I was trying to make in a previous post! You take it back to where you bought it from i.e. the hardware store and expect them to sort it. You DO NOT take it back to the manafacturer and ask them to sort it - your transaction was with the shop, not the manafacturer. Do you expect Black and Decker to get involved when you are trying to get a refund from the hardware store for your drill? NO! If you went to the drill manafacturer with a problem they would tell you to go to the shop you bought it from to get it sorted - pretty standard stuff. So why are people expect
  12. If my bank or energy company provided me with excellent customer service I would say thanks. Just because they should be providing that sort of customer service we all know in this day and age most don't!! Where's the harm in showing a little appreciation anyway?!
  13. So hang on a minute - if you go and buy, lets say, a Bosch washing machine from Argos or a Black & Decker drill from B&Q and they go wrong, do you phone up Bosch and B&D to exchange it or get a refund?? I don't think so - you take it back to the shop you bought it from who will deal with it. So what's so different here? If you have a problem take it back to the shop you bought it from. Its their responsibilty to deal with you and they can then deal with the supplier. I think WETTI is just doing us a favour (and promoting his business at the same time - well duh!!) by t
  14. I took the whole forward assist assembly out - knock out the pin from below and take out the FA (just remember how its positioned when it goes back in). Then I mixed up some of the adhesive and put it on the end face of the bit that fits into the button and a little around the edge but just at the top couple of mm or so. I didn't want to put it too far down the edge as I was afraid it would all ooze out and foul the spring. Then just push the button on - mine was a fairly tight push fit anyway so I'm sure there was good contact with the adhesive. Mine is now absolutely solid.
  15. Two part epoxy adhesive - specifically Araldite Rapid Steel (5th one down).... http://www.huntsman.com/advanced_materials...cfm?pageID=5902 Seems to have done the trick
