  1. A bunch of 5th SFG guys have been using uppgraded 1911s for a few years now, look through some Afghan pictures for examples.
  2. oh.... man.... I love the internet
  3. Sorry, that was kind of a joke picture. It's a M951 light with the older tailcap though, here's the rifle now: It's where I want it now... no annoying light on the sights either
  4. Wow I like the UMP! Get a VFG for it maybe? Your helmet needs a krylon spray job and a NVG mount though. Maybe less patches too
  5. Rangers have had the 46 for a while now, ciras is part of rlcs, the norotos is 5 point (ranger version) and ranger m4s seem to mostly have crane stocks these days. Not to mention all the other photos these go with. Those are rangers.
  6. I like this guy! A little AWS Inc. Repping Some more low key stuff:
  7. Fair enough. Understand however that we already have a FR, EOD and SEALs thread. This thread was created because those groups were already represented and army ones were not. Furthermore, have a look through previous pages to determine trends of focus... there should be little confusion as to the focus of this thread.
  8. Wow, I guess you missed that whole army part of the sentence huh?
  9. AF aint Army, this is an Army thread... New pics are always appreciated though, it's your call.
  10. Special Forces is a group within itself, special operations forces refers to the community as a whole. So army units would include Rangers, SF and D-Boys, though I guess they're called CAG now
  11. This thread is all about the big green, not the f*ckin air force!!
  12. some authentic 18B training: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzgiCpnyiqI
  13. The 'cool guys' I've had the honor of speaking with seem to take that as more of a compliment
  14. Keep it up guys! I love this thread!!
  15. I'm just cool like that . The Guru only caters to the most high speed posers, didn't you know?
  16. Well, a few M4 Pouches in that pile have my name on them now. I'll confirm the colors when I get 'em.
  17. Backpack did indeed suck *albatross*, a lot of rucks got switched out with modded ALICE packs. That's a whole other ballgame though, there are so many mods, straps, and replacement frames to talk about. Here's mine: Pocket Mods were done at General Jackson's, outside of Fort Bragg. Frame is a cut down civvy plastic frame, which saw much use by SF teams a few years back. Not sure what the hell the padding's from. Where did you get the info about there being CB gear in there? I've handled Eagle's CB up close and it doesn't look anything like what's in that bag.
  18. SF use a lot of personally obtained equipment, but what are (or were) they issued? Special Operations Forces Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR) Overview: Special Operations Forces Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR) is the United States Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) modernization effort for the joint (Army, Navy, and Air Force) Special Operations Forces (SOF) operator. SPEAR will focus on four areas of improvement in personal equipment from 1996 - 2005 including body armor and load carriage. SPEAR’s Body Armor/Load Carriage System (BALCS) consists of bod
  19. I love these older woodland photos, impressions based off them are just so much more practical.
  20. I like that teched out SAW the dude with the norotos is rocking, guess those M4 stocks are getting popular. Wonder when we'll see an airsoft replica?
  21. Some green direct action training stuff:
  22. Are those guys in the third pic rangers?
  23. BHI, Paraclete, Eagle, SOTech... SF guys buy all kinds of *beep* to use in the desert.
  24. Some reserve teams had them when they went into Afghanistan (some guys even brought old RBAs with them as back up armor sets). Those were all eventualy replaced by the BALCS and then SFLCS sets. The dude has a black chinstrap on his MICH (not an ACH), a 416, a decked out Paraclete RAV and that NVG mount... He's not 101st
