So since I cant find a custom gun topic and VSS is closer to AKs then svds...even though its a blashfemy to say it....any how here is my custom build VSS Vintorez.
It has seen about 10-15 battels so far and has had its fair share of use so its much duller and used looking... but here are the pics right after it was finished. The build process is documented just follow the link in my sig.

i reckon the pistol grip could do with a bit of slimming down for realism's sake (but if you find a larger grip more comfortable that's fair enough)
the barrel looks a tad thin, could also do with some knurling (google it if you dont know what i mean
) to finish the look. also iron sights are a must. the rear sight is easy enough, just a standard AK rear sight will do. as for the front, i'd butcher the front sight post of an AK, bulk it out into a squarer shape and stick that on.might also be an idea to shorten the fire selector, shouldnt be too hard.
finally, replace the 7.62 mags with some black AK74 mags (possibly make the full length ribs using hot glue or gripfill) and get a PSOP
i know that sounded like a very critical post, but its all constructive. that is still honestly one of the best incarnations i've seen, just fix those few details and there wont be much else you can do without some serious modding

Don't bring up tape *fruitcage*. Those who tape tape, those who don't don't. Not a big deal, just a personal choice.
the argument is between those who think russians only use(d) TEH BLOO TAEP!!1 and everyone else who realises that they in fact used just about any tape and that blue tape is in no way more 'correct' than any other kind.
anyway, less tape, more AKs

personally i'd go for a cooler master case. the CM-690 is a good budget option with some great features and outstanding airflow (especially if you install 2 140mms on the top and 1 on the bottom), its completely tool-less as well, even the PCI-E expansion slots are tool-less.

for an authentic 'fix' to the uncomfortable cocking lever might be to get hold of a spent casing (dunno where you'd find a 7.62x54R casing, so any old NATO 7.62 would do), ram that on the cocking handle, maybe fill it with epoxy before hand just so it stays put and hey presto, you'll have an extended and more comfortable cocking lever. i saw this on a photo of a knackered old AKS74U by the way, looked pretty cool.

i'm sorry stealth but i can't see your opinion as anything other than a stereotype based on a small minority.
several girls who went to my secondary school (in essex, bruv!) dropped out at about 15 because they got pregnant. its certainly reinforcing the essex girl stereotype, but at the end of the day a stereotype is all it is. there's not something in the water here that compels every girl to get knocked up at the age of 14, in the same way that asians arent genetically programmed to be needy.
personality is arguably one of the most variable factors anyway, everyone has a different personality.

if you dont want to spend that sort of money on a rubber butt pad just gaffa tape some dense foam to the buttplate, a stereotypically russian solution

Are you crazy? Thats an awesome car. Any estate-shaped fast skyline has always been awesome, like the autech. Girls like her are a dime a dozen, maybe not even, she does have a wonky face. Cars like that on the other hand, are one in a million.
good thing too that its one in a million, i wouldnt like to see many more of them about
there is no estate car in the world (that i know of) that doesnt look *suitcase*, they are for 40 something year old men with a few kids, the idea is function over form. take the alfa 156 estate for example, in it's saloon form its a rather pretty car, turn it inot an estate and anything other than a head on view is horrible.

I just ordered a GHK gas-blowback AKSU and Im already regreting this buy even before they have shipped it out. I want to build this:
Anyone can think of a way to build this? I want to use an AKM/AKMS/AK74 body and the M4 stock adapters that I know of are made for AK47's.
you'll have a hard time creating this monstrosity (thankfully
) as far as i know, no such adaptor exists for a folding stock variant. you could always remove the stock, weld/screw a small steel plate to cover the hole in the back of the receiver then bolt/weld a buffer tube to it. i reckon the DIY approach would give it a nice home grown custom look with a nice worn look.
also if it were me i'd say loose the ultimak rail, fit a vented steel heatshield (because they look badass) and make your own copy of the larue iron dot, possibly with an aimpoint T1. doesnt look too hard to replicate IMO and certainly doesnt look as ghey as the ultimak (in fact, i genuinely like the look of the iron dot)

Maybe blue tape to hold mags together?Best tell the russian army that then, they use blue tape because it was the only electrical tape available in bulk in the Soviet Union/ Early new Russia

this is NOT true, just a rumor around airsofters. yes, blue tape was used but so was just about any other kind of tape (i remember even seeing a photo from the 1st conflict in chechnya where a guy had his mags taped with what appeared to be elastoplast, not a bad idea now i think about it)
i personally like the look of that selotape on there, its different.
