  1. take some stuff off the front? assuming it's rail mounted gubbins you probably dont need all of it. theres not really much you can put on the back of an AK, at least not anything with enough weight to balance a front heavy gun. plus at the end of the day it's just more weight, so you'll go from something front heavy to slightly better balanced but very heavy. just remove your flashlights, NV scopes, weaver mounted tactical toasters etc whenever you dont need them. rails are meant to be an easily modifiable, modular system after all
  2. lets put it this way, realswords are built that way and they're arguably the best on the market. i think i would wait for Dboys effort though, as it should be full steel.
  3. are you sure? i think you'll find that is actually a TM hybrid not a VFC clone. they never updated their AKSUs to VFC construction IIRC.
  4. must be the older version, straight after release they revised the handguards to proper AKM style.
  5. cyma used those internals back in the CM028/031 days, but everything since then, including the pot metal ones, have been fitted with the parts i listed stock.
  6. only the barrel is grubbed on the cymas. same as the realsword type 56. i think that their AKS74 is actually fully pinned too and that only the AK74 and AKM are RS style. current cyma internals are generally than Dboys, metal bushings, metal spring guide, steel gears (although thats standard among clones) tightbore, good motor etc that said, i'd personally go for the new Dboys crop. you can upgrade the internals on the Dboys, but you're stuck with whatever pot metal is on the cyma.
  7. but us ordinary folk have *fruitcage* too the irish version needs a different word
  8. whats ubar for? lets see... *Ubar* twat *bramston pickle* edit: hurrr! thought so! i thought it's 'branston' not bramston. and can we please have a more irish sounding fruitcage variant for *fruitcage* (e instead of u)
  9. i admire the effort, but... EEEEW! might have looked pretty cool if it was just a regular P90 fed from 20 round STANAGs, but the G36 front just spoils it IMO. each to his own though.
  10. needs the barrel cut right back to the receiver and some sort of muzzle break. then it would be beyond badass
  11. ooh, match G3. i'd like to see one of those with a PSG1 grip and stock (or maybe a magpul PRS)
  12. another option might be to get one of those rubber grip sleeves, cut it down the back and stick it around the AUG grip.
  13. cheers, not to keen on that after all the mounting system looks a bit fugly. i caught a glance of it while watching the film and thought it was a kobra minus the sunshade. still dont think it's that exact sight though the one in the screencap is minus the cylindrical bit pointing backwards.
  14. only handguards, pistol grips etc are really interchangeable. new cymas are VFC style which is incompatible.
  15. *fruitcage*? evidently not the slightly more irish variation. i wasnt aware there were other variations out there
  16. a bit off topic here, but anyone remember on the dark knight, there was a bloke in a helicopter (IIRC) with an M16 that had a rather odd looking RDS setup. looked like a weaver mounted russian kobra sight mounted directly in front of the carry handle. any screencaps?
  17. works for me that grip would indeed look cool. you could always have them interchangeable so you can add the stock when needed.
  18. any edges and protruding parts will get more wear. just get a scotch brite pad and go over everything. it'll lightly weather everything, but the raised areas will get more worn (like they would on a real gun)
  19. it's only inspired by GITS, not a replica
  20. pah! who wants their gun to be pristine condition anyway? every scratch adds character
  21. barsteward! theres only 1 bowling alley nearby with that game and it's £1 a pop
  22. aye, its a pretty damn good game too.
