  1. Serious? I just checked mine again and both the barrel extension and barrel muzzle threads are ccw. Although what I have is a Socom Gear N4, but it's really just a rebranded WE. It even has WE markings on the front sight triangle.
  2. It has your regular 14mm ccw thread so any barrel extension for AEGs with the same dimension will do. Like these for instance. Normal. It's the follower in the mag that pushes the bolt stop upwards. Without the mag in, the spring under the bolt stop will keep it down unless you manually push it.
  3. HEY, they have fixed A2 butt stocks for the WA/G&P and under $50!!! Anyone know if the threads on the receiver match on the WE?
  4. Yes, it is. Mostly because they copied WA. That and their power output has a smaller variance which will undoubtedly affect its precision. However there still are multiple ways to get the WE platform exceptionally accurate.
  5. And remember that its for the CO2 version which will require you to install the CO2 chamber as well.
  6. Will you be turning it to semi-auto only or apply for replica Class III papers for it?
  7. In similar fashion, also not photoshopped (lazy) and I actually own it. Not daft enough to field it though.
  8. Tokyo Model has it. I just don't know how smoothly business with them goes. http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/ecshop/goods.php?id=3003 and the steel finish too apparently http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/ecshop/goods.php?id=4386
  9. Welcome to the club. What model is that btw?
  10. Is this happening even when you've set your hop to the fullest? And what gas are you using? Green gas really makes the hop less effective because of the oil and some brands have more oil than others.
  11. The Detonics does indeed use a D shaped nozzle piston and its bbu is differently shaped as well to accommodate for the fact that a good portion of the back part (where the rear sight of regular 1911's go) is missing. Why it might be performing better than the MEU slide in the cold could be that it has less mass therefore requiring less force and less gas to throw around. And about the Detonics size, Freedom Art sort of fixed it by adding a full profile compensator and then slapping it on a Hi-Capa frame. The second link shows an even longer version. http://gun-freedom-art.com/hi45cus
  12. For other people to test out of curiosity, you can push the pin out the side of your recoil buffer (one side is knurled, push out from non-knurled end) and pop open the rubber piece. Fill the void with something heavy, I put .177cal copper airgun bbs in mine, about 40~50 grams worth. Reassemble and give it a couple shots. I didn't feel the slightest bit if difference though there were some who did. But at least if it works for you, you don't have to spend much if at all for it.
  13. If you buy them one at a time. You get better deals by the bulk especially in the US and already, just buying 15pc packs brings down the price to 60 cents each. I remember the 100+ packages go lower than 50 cents each.
  14. Partially finished in refurbishing my CA 1911. I'm going for a Bob Chow/.460 Rowland look. I still need to fit a donated Bomar rear sight, and decide if I'm polishing the grip safety and backstrap since the paintjob didn't hold too well in those areas. Eventually, as the paint chips off, I'll probably turn everything to a brushed stainless look. ProG4 hammer set installed since the CA stock ones were really bad. My own compensator installed and recoil spring guide taken from my old Para Ord. Also my own grips. Hand stippled front strap. Spring plug and guide rod were ground fl
  15. A weaker recoil spring would also help right? RA-Tech sells two sets of recoil springs for the WA labeled "summer" and "winter" (though they spelled it as "winner").
  16. You really can't eyeball the adjustment on the WE's hop unlike say an AEG. AEG's have that rubber bucking which gives way when a bb passes through. WE's don't and have no 'give' other than the softness of the hop material. You have to shoot it and adjust by trial and error.

  18. About the stock wobble, it might also be that the entire buffer tube isn't screwed in tightly to the receiver which would be why the stock is still wobbling even though the stock screw is at its tightest.
  19. That would be me. The one I have in mine is still ok. WETTI said they'll look into it. I took the liberty of running your results through some statistics and here's what I got _______max__min__SD CO2 .30 498 452 15.60290196 CO2 .40 406 363 12.26739626 Prop .30 467 433 8.72278376 Prop .40 432 333 16.00811483 Even without having to do anova tests, I could say one isn't any more consistent than the other. Someone should try the new CO2 setup in really cold weather.
  20. Its because they have reason to brag about how tight they can get their manufacturing tolerances. Other brands just slap on "6mm" because they don't really know the variance of their diameters or they don't want people to know how big their variance is.
  21. Notice how towards the end of the video his output jumps from 0.01J to 0.45J? The adjustable floating valve was able to work itself loose. This could probably get you banned from a site if they chronoed your gun mid game.
  22. For the meanwhile, you could troubleshoot it with a mates M4. Just keep swapping parts to isolate just what is causing the inconsistency.
  23. There's a video on youtube of a guy chronoing his MP9 with green gas. "1.02J 0.25g bb 1109rpm 91.02mps" He also says the bolt stop fails to work due to how fast the slide moves. Needs a stiffer recoil spring I reckon.
  24. There's supposedly a chinese made MOE handguard already going around. I don't know if they really are rip offs though as I recently bought a pair and everything is the same as with the PTS, even down to the box. Only difference is it costs $18. Maybe the HK factory upped its production to lower price or subcontracted a mainland factory?
