  1. i have been looking for the past hour for that exact answer. which is weird as i was looking befor i looked at this thread to see your question. so far, my google fu is telling me that nobody who speaks english has even tried. however, there is whispers of a japanese forum that someone has done it and posted a how to, but i cannot find it so far. its starting to look like my next project unless i can find some definitive evidence that someone has tried and failed to instal marui guts in a KWA body.
  2. that's too bad. Guess I still have to look forward to the lct. I just like the dedign of the high cap. Its a good design for this style of magazine. Similar to P90 high caps. Thanks for checking.
  3. If you have another ak would you be able to see if the body would be compatible? If a g&p or lct metal body would fit, that would be cool.
  4. You could try .68 cal rubber training balls. Thanks for testing it.
  5. wow, i never even knew configurations like that could exist.
  6. I would just use paper towel and tape as wadding.
  7. um, no, i only asked him to. i fully expected him to just say "nah bro, *fruitcage* off." and i'm fine with that. i have asked everyone that i have seen in the US with one of these (all of 3 people). nobody has yet to even try to chamber a shell. im not surprised at all that nobody wants to test it. but i just dont think its safe to just assume it can't. if i had the money to buy one and wanted one, i sure as hell would have already tried. at least measure the *fruitcage* shell to see if its true 12g in size. if its undersized like goblin and tanaka shells, i can put this *suitcase
  8. did i suggest how he should do the test? no, i only asked him to try it because nobody else has tested it yet. chambering a shell is harmless enough, but there are safe ways to pull the trigger from a distance. regardless if VB will test if for us, someone has to try it and tell everyone if the gun is ultimately safe or not. the damned thing is too realistic to leave it in a gray area. i dont give a *suitcase* about the ATF, i want the whole department *fruitcage* destroyed along with the NFA, but we still need to test certain things ourselves to make sure the game stays safe. i dont c
  9. only because if someone comes to my field with one, if they can chamber and fire real shells(even if it explodes when it goes off), its a no go for field use for the same reason people cant use real shotguns with the madbull training shells.
  10. there is one thing i need to know about this gun and it can potentially destroy it. please, for the safety of other airsofters, see if it can chamber and fire live rounds. i know that the chamber has a slightly different shape than a real M870 chamber, so im guessing it wont even chamber real 12g shells, but regardless, someone has to try.
  11. very nice. what made you think of using sig magazines? do the coupler studs still work?
  12. I owned a gen 3 src xm8 for a little while, its definately made of nylon fiber. It did still have a little flex here and there, but it did not creak. The gen 3 models are the only ones with a pic rail under the optic. Definately worth buying if you can find one. The gen 1 and 2 src xm8s were made of abs.
  13. EdGi afaik still makes custom inner barrels. He does buisness on facebook now.
  14. From what I remember, isn't what usually goed wrong in vfc ARs is cracking bolt carriers? shouldn't this one be ok since the BCG is about 1.5-2x larger?
  15. no. if its an ARES sportline, its got a plastic gearbox. if its got a metal gearbox and it is the sportline model with the ABS (and not nylon fiber) body, then its not worth that price. (cost 180USD in the states new from retail) the ares designed tayver is not well designed and you need to be familiar with them in order to work on them and correctly tune the trigger and selector transfer bars. beyond that, if you are worried about reliability, ANY gun with a micro switch trigger is a no go. that includes these ares designed tayvers. but then again, i am not a fan of tayvers a
  16. my guess is either plumber or electrician.
  17. G&G. its the most solid and rounded version IMHO. ICS is a close 2nd with their easy takedown button (while the G&G takes a bit of effort to slide it apart) but the bolt handle breaks from overuse and its not as well colored as the G&G. of course, there is price to account for. while the ICS is not much worse, it is almost half the price. whichever you choose, you won't be disappointed. but thats all from a 3rd persons perspective. i have handled the G&G and ICS sigs, but i have never owned them.

  20. are TSI even still around? i thought that the aborted tayver project killed them?
  21. keymod rails were purposely made to offer the same functionality of dpartment store shelving. the team that implimented the idea used them as inspiration. its not supposed to be ironic or commical that they are the same, they are purposely the same. AFAIK...
  22. i hate it when people normally say stuff like this, but thats a lot for a pistol when you (well, us 'mericans) can get a real one for under half that price. but it must be one hell of a shooter once you also add Volante's Merlin BBU.
  23. If I was going to tackle the system, being the ump, I would get a cache of mags for the warm days and build an externally gassed high cap for the cold days.
