  1. I took my barrel apart last night and interestingly enough, instead of being on the bottom, the wiring cutout to front wire the gun is on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the barrel. Very interesting. One thing that worries me is that holy mother of god is that channel small. Its...really small. Anakchan, you've installed metal bushings right? Are the TM holes 6.0mm or 6.1 like some of the out of spec clone gearboxes? I know, i know, stupid question, i would assume 6.0 since its a marui but it IS a new design so who knows.
  2. That is too cool. Thats the first VFC scar ive seen wired up with a dang mosfet. Very unique and REALLY freakin cool!
  3. For anyone that speaks Japanese, could someone tell me what is going on in this video? Some notable inclusions are the short barrels and the fact that obviously, the PEQ Equipped M4 is wired to the front. Someone previously mentioned that Echigoya was offering mosfet installs. Does anyone have anymore info on that? EDIT: http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?d...TrUrl=Translate I found this. Check that out guys, pretty neat. I would like some more in depth photos but i doubt they're going to go ahead and do that for us since they do afterall have to make money.
  4. Yes, it is. There is currently no airsoft replica.
  5. The RIS 2 clone uses its own barrel nut so you wont have any problems adding that front end to the gun. I merely took an o-ring, sectioned it and put it on the channels on the MOE handguard that goes around the barrel nut. When the delta ring is pulled back and the handguards put in place the o-ring is scrunched down around the teeth on the nut. Its acting as a spacer/tensioning device. Very ghetto fix and only temporary until i decide where im going with this gun as far as accessories goes.
  6. Saint, powerstroking will not "chamber" a round, ie drop the bolt catch and allow it to shoot. All i will say for now is that this gun was FUN, REALLY fun. My first day of skirmishing was unreal with this thing.
  7. Im currently using a two point with the gun since i have yet to mount a sling adapter to the gun. Also, i shimmed the headshield with a number 14 o-ring cut into three pieces and its now rock solid. It is NOT the heatshields, it IS the gun. The MOE grips mount up rock solid on real ar15's. Also, as far as powerstroking the gun in order to chamber a round no, that does not work unfortunately, at least i dont think it does. I will test it out tomorrow and report back here after my first skirmish with the platform. I simply cannot wait to use this thing in a game, i am so excite
  8. Here are my impressions: Pro's. 1. The gun is solid. Its metal, there is no wobble. There is a VERY slight bit of play in the RIS but its hardly noticeable. 2. The blowback is absolutely, positively, awesome. It feels very real, i was genuinely surprised. I was expecting alot less feeling than what im getting on my shoulder. Im really, really loving this system so far. 3. The lower receiver is very nicely put together. Its pot metal but its been CNC"d in certain parts, ie magwell and it feels sturdy. TM seems to be the ONLY company that can get magwells right. No one e
  9. How is that an IAR? Because it has a tan receiver? Also, putting a 10 inch barrel onto an IAR kind of defeats the whole purpose of the weapon system. Reliability goes down and wear increases as you shorten the barrel and gas system whether its a piston or not. Thats just an AR with some doodads on it. Yes, im well aware that we cannot currently build an accurate IAR replica but im sure with enough thought and design a person could come up with something close. The project would probably end up being stupidly expensive though
  10. Only a matter of time. Take it upon yourself to make your own battery or have one custom made for the "harness" that comes with the marui batteries.
  11. Did you chrono with .20's or .25's? 311 fps with an M110 spring is very low.
  12. Wobble on a real ar15 has no affect on anything so i wouldnt really worry about it too much on the airsoft gun. Then again, these GBB's are a bit more complex than the real article so correcting wobble may be beneficial.
  13. Guiness. Do the G&P guns come stock with those gasbuster charging handles or did you buy that separately?
  14. Johnny, well aware bud, here's the problem tho... Machining the flash off usually involves getting rid of that seam right there. Bad form (no pun intended) on Inokatus part, thats just freaking lazy. Also, KAC moved to Titusville like...three years ago. Get with the times Inokatsu. If you're going to rip off products at least get it right.
  15. What the hell is with that huge *albatross* mould line going across the front of the magwell.
  16. Thanks for the info guys. I suppose we really wont know how the system reacts to fets until one of us gathers up the necessary testosterone and installs the damn thing. Also, in regards to the SBR carbine, i meant short barreled rifle. I kind of assumed that TMs next release would be a 10.5 inch SBR sopmod blowback thingy of doom! Chan, if my sopmods get here before you head back to HK ill go ahead and install an ACM DD RIS II rail. Ill let you know how it works out.
  17. Link is working now. I thought it was going to be a link to the marui carbine that he mentioned. Do we have any more details on this? I havent heard anything about it in the popular news circles. Im assuming its an SBR sopmod? Also, anyone have any idea if active breaking would have a negative effect on the recoil mechanism? How about the motor soft start that the extreme fire fets have?
  18. I prefer to be called umpaloompa!! No really, im 6'0 and i shoot nose to charging handle. My stocks are either always collapsed and tucked very close or retracted one position. That link didnt work Anakchan, what is this you say about a marui sopmod carbine?
  19. The G&P rail has no such issues. G&P, vltor, and basically any other lo pro gas block fits just fine. Im not sure why the ACM rails are having issues like this.
  20. My only gripe is that generally, the over the buffer tube style sling plates tend to mess with the first positon on the stock tube when the stock is collapsed. We will see when i get my units.
  21. Which rail is that? ACM or G&P? I have a vltor gasblock under my rail and i have no problems with it.
  22. Im thinking real steel plates will probably work but yeah, im 99% sure we are going to have to make a relief cut to accomodate those wires. Real steel sling endplates are generally REALLY tough so they might require a little more than a dremel. Not necessarily a bad thing.
  23. Couple more questions as my packages are on the way and i cant wait to receive these things! 1. How is the FSB held on? Pins and a set screw on the bottom? If it is pinned, is it pinned the right way, ie cutouts on the barrel for the pins to index into? I cant stand wobbly fsb's. 2. Are real steel endplate sling adapters able to be used on this thing or do we have to make a relief cutout to accommodate the wiring? Thanks guys!
  24. Jeebus, ty for the info man, really appreciate it.
  25. Jeebus, ive never seen a foregrip like that for a real steel gun. The grip seems too swept back. You mentioned that it was designed for a marui? What brand is it? I heard some earlier mention of CAW but im not sure if that person was talking about your particular grip.
