I have to get a bunch of 20s for the VSS along as the current mag that comes with the VSS is pretty much a garage kit. -Piano

Nice SR3. Are you going to be ordering some new gen mags from Art? -Piano

Thanks Noveske, if I get a second upper, I'll join the Fortis club too. -Piano

All of the parts arrived either yesterday or today. The LM4's barrel nut is slightly larger than real steel, hence the gap on the C4 FSP. -Piano

If you can hold out until Monday, I'll have pictures of the nearly completed LM4. -Piano

Thanks for the feedback. If the Fortis had a key mod slots at the 6 o'clock position instead of the 1913 rail, I'd probably had gone with that, but I've decided to go with the C4 FSP. -Piano

Anybody here have first hand experience with the Fortis REV? I'm looking for a rail and settle on either a Centurion Arms C4 FSP or a Fortis Rev 14. I'm torn between the look of the FSB of the C4 and the keymod sides of the REV as I was spoiled by the URX III on my SR47. There's about a $100 price difference between the two, but once you add the cost of the front sight and gas block into the equation, it becomes about equal. Thanks, -Vic

There's something about an all black SR47, which is why I'm currently replacing the Magpul PTS and MIAD with a VFC Crane Stock and A2 grip. I'm keeping the RS KAC URX III, Dytac dimple barrel, and VFC triple tap break though. -Piano

Refinished the stock of my NPO VSS so it's closer to the color of the VSS seen in some of the Beslan school hostage crisis. -Piano

I agree with pkm's sentiments. The magazines are the only bad part, but supposedly this has been addressed recently and the magazines that are in production now are of a lot higher quality. Additionally, they've also improved their designs slightly over time because when I compare my VSS with the current review on Red-Alliance, the additional piece that holds the safety selector in place between the gearbox and the receiver solves the issue of the selector working its way loose rather simply and elegantly. -Vic

No problems as this one had been stateside for a while. It's also a kit, not the full aeg. -Piano

Let's say that I was made an offer that made the LCT not worth waiting for. The scope is a Romanian TIP2, which relies on Tritium for illumination rather than a battery. While this means I don't have the top cover clearance issue of a normal SVD POSP, it's been several half-lives so the scope is dark. -Piano

Yep, serial number 162 or something like that. -Piano

Mocked up the VSS, just waiting on some parts. -Piano

Yeah, I saw part of that and I am suspicious of the whole video as it's cut and has some weird audio qualities.

Any footage of GMR's shenanigans? -Piano

I just received a Dynamic Star replica of the older model CAA/TDI pistol grip and it feels pretty good.

Skdtac has them if you're in the US. -Piano

That's a byproduct of the angle of the photograph and the fact there were no plates in the vest when photographed. The plate carrier is roughly 1/2 inch longer than the ESAPI plates that were in it due to the nature of the soft armor. -Piano

Looks good, BBM. What optic do you plan on using on the UltiMAK? -Piano
-
The pictured PICO is a size medium. The size difference besides plates is cummerbund length. -Piano

What kind of pictures do you want? -Piano

More Zenit goodness Cheers, Piano
