My bolt carrier finally bit the dust. After 5 years and well over 20k rounds (might be closer to 30k) through, a $30 replacement isn't too bad. It actually still shoots fine with the broken off guide lug but I've seen nozzles eventually break because of this as it has only one stopper left on the other side adding $20 to the repair bill.
Quite an achievement. Have you changed anything or broke anything else before?

I have bought it too, together with the burst set. Now I regret it a bit with the metal conversion set for M93r released few months ago.
But hell, for few months I was the only one having it here in Czech :-D

Finaly has arrived:
WE M14 GBB in FPG stock (folding stock and grip are from Beretta BM59, modified to fit M14 stock). If my info is correct such M14 version was used by SEALs in 90s.

Yep, in my opinion the best available aeg on market is G&G M14 Veteran, although it’s slightly shorter and a bit thicker, TM’s longer, taller and thinner proportions are a bit more toyish (to me).
WE GBB M14 is the way to go

TM M14 and clones were never my cup of tea, but by cost/value and power ratio Cyma is the best choice (with just replaced hop bucking I guess).

I am afraid it would need some work. GP SOC16 (about the same dimensions as TM or Cyma) handguard with mount which I have modified to fit on my “short WE M14” has needed some dremel in front, back and around chargin rod.

As far as I know it's quite new, we have it about a month here in Czech. It's called 110th Anniversary Edition from Cybg. Trades are (contrary to 100th Annivers.) engraved and quite deep. Overall the pistol looks much, much better than the older model, but function is the same with very low upgrade potential.

Yeah, it's funny how there is much, much, much more airsoft ones than the original Troy Rock SOPMODs made for Navy trials against EBR. I think that's actually also the reason of low spread and kniwledge on this M14.

I have Bell too, just without mag, but it looks surprisingly good too. I want to mod it to MEU SOC 1st Gen pistol.

I have bough another 2 secondhand WE M14s recently - total 7 now. To my delight, one of them has trademarked receiver (looking quite good) so without hesitation I have used it for my Nam M14.
Also it seems newly installed ML Diamond rubber has set it and I can reach people above 100m again with 0,50 BBs and app.110-115m/s muzzle velocity.

Wow, very nice. It resembles that ultra rare plastic/resin stock from 60s/70s or something like that. Great paintjob.

The thing is the black upper handguard was used just during very early production phase, the most commons are brown - coffe brown, respectivelly, so if you spray paint it with dark brown color, it should look well enough. You can also do a little bit of texture using some resin or epoxy or sand it slightly as GI RS are made from some heat resistant resin.

I gave up and “stepped in the same river” again (I used to have the previous 100th Anniversary version). Thanks to engravings (previous only laser marking) this looks much better, though the grey color is quite off on the other hand. Darkening will be necessary to reach a bit more realistic level.
But the thing I love the most (aside of the kick) is the box itself. Will by some ink stampings and print pistol’s SN on the box.
