    And being a'true' airsofter and having the tensile strength of a kitkat on a sunny day I shall now buckle under pier pressure and darken it ! Lol

     

    Well, newer stocks are made from light wood too. So sure feel free if you like it more.

    If my memory is correct, I remember seeing one somewhere on FB.

     

    In general WE M14 should easily fit (maybe a bit of sanding needed) most of the RS stocks as dimensionwise it is very close to RS M14.

    The original GI late 50s/ early 60s stocks were made from walnut or birch woods so if you want to go that way, the wood should be much more darker. Check the color on my WE M14 fitted to GI stock (few posts above). If you want some more pics, let me know.

    Running my WE M14 third year, mostly (99%) OEM parts except bolt stop. From time to time switch bolt cover or bolt catch (cosmetic reasons) and keep on running on GG, but mostly MAPP in short bursts.

     

    Sure I made some DIY mods.

    Would like to share with you pictures of two of my rifles, both are WE GBBRs:

     

    - Regular M14

    - Use this as my primary all year rifle for Vietnam and other early 1960s games, trainings and other events. With MAPP gas has stats roughly 125-130m/s with 0.43 BBs with range above 90m during winter and above 110m during spring/summer/autum. But still needs some work to tighten the grouping in semi. The rifle has USGI proofed real steel stock & handguard, modified trigger group, RaTech real function bolt catch, Maple Leaf bucking, 500fps nozzle and teflon taped chamber to reduce gas losses (the increased power and ShotperShot consistency mostly comes from this mod).

     

    - EBR M14 (so far not much upgrades, except ratech barrel and ML bucking, real work on her should be done this year)

    I have found the metal we nozzle guide in my latest gen EBR (which I have bough from Evike few months ago) and also got metal one (but just the right which is usually breaking) as spares from my WE dealer.

     

    The funny thing with the right plastic nozzle guide is, that if you break just the bottom piece of the guide and turn it 180degrees, it works much better.

     

    I think if you can be carefull enough to count 20BBs, the plastic nozzle is enough.

    My Star M14 SOPMOD back from AS surgeon. Shoots finally more than 10meters as before:)

    It is just one of wallhanger guns I have, so no special accessories so far. Hope for at least new and correct Peq or stick battery, cause this one is quite strange.

    Hi Joe, also owner of Star SOPMOD. Great gun, nice gun, not usual M14, but.... I have it also in doc´s hands, beeing fixed. Main issue... that damned Hop. I hope I will have it soon back for my SAD kit.

    Just a bit of traditional look. My M14 SOPMOD is rightnow in a "AS doctor hands".

    ASC M14 with RS handguard, flashider, mags, ammo related and bayonet.

     

    I hope, in soon future, M14E2 will appear also. Stock, slotted handguard and frontgrip somehow on the way.

    But ... I have troubles with all the others (compensator, bipod, buttstock, sling...) :( The biggest problem is

    I am in Europe, these parts are not available in my country and US sellers does not want to ship it here.

     

    Anyone can help me?

    4 Bababooey: Goddamn you man, that E2 is absolutely briliant, I wish I could have it for my collection. Are those E2 parts, as bipod, flashhider etc. real steel? If yes, I´m completely lost with conversio, ´cause can´t get them here and us guys don´t want to send them here.

    Hi Guys,

     

    I am quite new to Modern SF loadouts, my main period is Vietnam for 10years, so I would appreciate any suggestions - I know I need MICH helmet/Pakol and what else do you thing could help for better look. I would like to aim on SF and CIA SAD in A´stan.

     

    It´s my third/fourth loadout just for lasy saturday playing, so I do not need everything 100% correct right now.

     

    And one question, did any of you ever seen Troy M14 SOPMOD in hands of SF Operator?
