My findings so far. After having my 417 out in the field 4 times now over the last two months. The thing is just a BEAST!! I have noticed a few small things that i either didn't think about before i purchased, or wasn't expecting: The stock (inside) is huge. (Compared to my mates 416). I converted to lipo and run x2 1450 7.4v bats in parallel. Lasts all day without issue. 290 fps is not an issue in terms of range (good old TM magic hop). But i do find with .25s that at around 60m that the bbs have lost so much velocity that sometimes they are not felt by the player. Considering a spri

Thanks for the review. I have been looking at one of these in Tan for a while now. Does sounds like they can stand up to the punishment of being chucked around the safe zone by me :-) Would be great if you could add a field report also, i doubt i will be using my while playing (just to carry stuff to and fro). But would love to know how it holds up with a good deal of weight inside. Nice to see a review of this. Cheers /Tara -
My TM M14 + G&P EBR Kit. Only just put the 2 base colours on so stay with me here :-) (Sand and Khaki for highlights). Hopefully get the rest sprayed up and then give it a slight sand down to give it the worn look. Work in progress but she performs so well. Just started to put some shading onto the back end... hopefully have majority of the gun looking similar with a 2 tone shaded effect. More pics soon

I can't work out if i really like it.... or maybe the paint has turned my eyes a little funny But whatever it it, good or bad... its given me a headache lol. I wonder if it does the same for the enemy?! -

[i know this isn't a new thread - but still seems the best place for feedback] I just wanted to add to the general negative feedback trend for Surplus & Adventure. 16 Days ago i ordered x2 items they were showing as in-stock on their website (They are still showing as in stock today). I used one of these last weekend and it really did put a smile on my face Have been searching around for a UK retailer with one in stock with no joys as of yet. There a G&P Sentry UK shortage atm...?? Will also add that my friend had one hell of a time getting his flash hider off also! Took both of us + some insulating take and some giant grips to get it loose.

Yeah, once the filter / cover was removed that light isn't all that bad, its better then walking in to things i guess :-) Very nice Wutang! It looks cool as a carbine.

I have been looking at these over at rsov. I am glad to know that you do not need a riser or a different mouth when used with an eotech. Cheers for that! I have look through a x3 magnifier before also, and it took longer then i thought to snap into perfect view, getting my eye in the correct position took longer then i though. I am thinking of giving this a try and look forward to an update after your next skirmish. Cheers

Hmmm, i has seens a few people state that it doesn't have a hop up, and 1 or 2 that say it has a fixed one. Wouldn't mind some clarification on this If it has no hop, then surely u can replace the barrel or mod it to instal a fixed hop buckling etc. And if its already got a fixed hop, then surely a small hole through the outer barrel, a screw, pushing down onto the hop should alow u to adjust it. Either way, i would love to use one of these things outside, abit of woodland warfare! Accuracy sounds amazing, but a hop would give you so much more use

Ah cool. Missed that bit How about drilling a small hole through the outer barrel and using a screw to push down on the hop? read that peeps do that on thier CA870 to increase range. Or would it mess up the gas flow, or something like that

I might really have to pick one of these up! Have a Polar Bear II on order and this looks great for CQB. Is there anyway of modding it to take a hopup..? is the barrel even removable to test?
