  1. Plat-A-Tac 'Harry' combat jacket, which is no longer on their site. They've been selling off a lot of their stock over the last year or so and not replacing it, so I'm not sure what the plan is there. Maybe hunt around the second-hand market or contact them to see if they'll ever be making more or doing an updated version in future.
  2. The whole event? Maybe 5-6 hundred at a guess and most of those were in the last 4 hours or so before the end. Most other people probably shot more, but long as you bring a 3k bottle you'd be covered. With Warzone's rules you can only carry 500 on you at any given time (with long periods between returning to your kit) and I'm not sure on specifics but I know the numbers would be pretty similar with most other milsim organisers.
  3. Had my first go at this milsim lark, this is what I decided to go with in the end. PERSEC for awful, awful face. The belt, sling and ear pro are all stuff I'd usually use for a skirmish, all the rest of it is different though. Softshell top and bottoms, Gore-Tex LOWAs and a small pack instead of a PC.
  4. I tried a TM mag in one of my Starks once, dry-cycled fine. Not exactly a fully-fleshed out experiment to scientific paper standards though of course.
  5. I've barely fondled this one yet. I have a 'beater' untraded SA G17 Gen3 that I keep in a draw at work to do repetitions on reloads etc when I feel like practicing and yeah, the wear on the upper front portion of the barrel is noticeable and doesn't take long to appear, but it's not nearly as bad as the huge patch of missing paint on my CG/SA M&P9. Not something that bothers me personally though, so I accept it as a reasonable flaw given the accuracy of the trades and the frame for the low entry price.
  6. Rainer's stippling looks like it'd do the job of providing more grip and traction... Anyway, picture thread. Stark 17 Gen 4, no idea how long it'll actually hold up, but if I want performance I have my stock TMs and looks wise you can't bear these things for the price to my mind. Great training piece and does what I'd need as a CQB backup.
  7. Short of some really unlucky/messed up airsoft tolerances, they'll go on, pretty standard stuff.
  8. What's the group called mate? I could do with contacting Mr Flores.
  9. Be very interested to see that post. I had to file mine near the top on the inside since it lacked the cut-outs to accommodate the bushings/bearings (? no idea) around whichever gear is at the bottom of the GB, and after that it physically fitted on just fine. As I say I could get it to run, but not to an acceptable standard at all and I've no idea how to diagnose the issue in terms of figuring out in which direction the motor angle need to be moved to get a better mesh with the GB and a smooth, non-screechy cycle.
  10. Tried a Dytac BCM pistol grip on one of my SOCOMs, no luck sadly. I could get the gun to run (just) but no matter which height I set the motor at it was making a horrible screeching noise, definitely not right. Pretty gutted as I was stoked for switching my 10.5" gun with FG furniture over to Grey with one of these grips, but sadly not it seems (not currently aware of anyone else making an AEG pistol grip in grey).
  11. Anybody need any MALICE clips? I've got a bucket full here that are about to get binned.

  12. X3200s.. do they take any sort of standardised camera tri-pods? The little ACM stand mine came with has decided to disintegrate.

Yup standard 1/4" camera screw mount.

As per above. I have had it on my camera tripod many times.

Thinking about it, I've got this gorilla-pod sat here doing nothing that will probably work. Thanks lads.

  13. I was just reading about the RS version the other day, did not expect to suddenly come across an airsoft replication of it. Looks ready to go and smack down a bunch of steel plates, nice gun and nice pictures. How easy was it going through FCC? Happy with the end result? It certainly looks good but obviously you're the one who's actually held the thing.
  14. I'm not sure about 1 and 4 because I prefer the front-wired variants and I managed to nab a Spectre. But you do need recoil-line specific outer barrels due to the way the base area is shaped to mate with the upper; I may have seen some standard ones used (or heard of it anyway) but it takes a lot of machining. Inner barrels are quite standard luckily.
  15. Well.. let's see what we can do about that now...
  16. You made the plate carrier? Sweet work man like that design, LBT could do with paying attention. Which cummerbund have you used?
  17. I'm not 100% sure there's enough depth to the metal for a QD socket and I'm not sure how precise of a machine job it is to put the indentations within the circular cut; probably a bit beyond the work I have access to. Obviously if I manufactured in plastic that wouldn't be an option anyway. Of course there are ways to go QD with the sling attachment near the base of the stock (if you want both parts of your sling QD rather than just a QD on the front that is), but I prefer my simple paracord loop using a sling that has 2 paraclips like the MS3. I don't really trust QDs in general, even with
  18. Custom low-pro picatinny replacement panels for my TM SCAR-L. I originally commissioned these something around 6 months ago, but given how much I hated the shape and feel of the front area of the rifle when fitted with the stock rail segments these slick panels been well worth the wait. The original idea came to me when I took the stock rail panels off one day and realised how simple their geometry ctually was. At the time I'd removed all my accessories from the front as I'd originally mounted an RVG and some XTMs up there, but they made the front of the gun so horribly fat com
  19. Called both FirstSpear and Kryptek this evening, spoke to Beyond Clothing last week. I'm sure the same generic white girls work in the CS at all of these tactical/outdoor gear companies...

When you ring up 3 different places and speak to Kristin, Kristen and Kirsten, well... I'm sorry but generalisations will ensue.

I now have the mental image of one average white girl sitting in an office with three phones - one labelled FirstSpear, one Kryptek and one labelled Beyond Clothing.

Well I was starting to wonder along those lines myself. Except there'd also probably be phones for Crye, Blue Force Gear, HSGI and Patagonia.

  20. Now I'm even more annoyed because the RS Rainier recievers only have the mountain logos on the front/left with the billet style lowers, the normal USGI shape forged lowers are blank on the front and left of the magwells, so OCT have going to all that effort to create a faithful replica type product of something that doesn't exist. Gah...
  21. http://octstrategicstore.com/ca30/298/p-r-s/ Mind blown... Had no idea such things existed, though this discovery has largely only served to increase my rage about such receivers not existing for normal AEGs.
  22. As in you took the end plate from a Bolt rifle and mounted it to a TM? Can't imagine I'd be able to buy that plate separately unfortunately.
  23. lol.. really? Got any links to all these new quad rails that are being released/in development? From absolutely everything I've seen and purchased they're very much going M-LOK and KeyMod continues, barely any quad rails released to the RS AR market in the states in the last couple of years. BCM, Daniel Defense, Noveske, Erathr3, Midwest Industries, Rainier Arms, Fortis Mfg, ALG Defense, B5 Systems, Magpul, Geissele, Parallax Tactical, Knights Armament, Hodge Defense, SLR Rifleworks, SMOS Arms, MEGA Arms, Seekins Precisions, Armalite, VLTOR... just a short list of a partial selection of
