  1. Depends on your priorities really. If EBB do come out with any AOR uniforms they'll presumably be copies of the CP designs and be cheap. On the other hand, the OPS kit is purely their own design which (unfortunately) isn't being used by any military groups, which means of course it's not as 'cool' for airsofters and costs a lot more; but then they're using the real materials and the end product rivals actual Crye gear for quality, it's on a par at least.
  2. Tricky... the only proper rail I have experience of using with a SOCOM is my King Arms MRF, they have a funny sort of one of those in: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/r-i-s-r-a-s/for-rifles-aegs/king-arms-system-cx-free-floating-forearm-rail.html Any standard KAC RAS replica will take a nun-chuck lipo as well, think they have a couple of those in. Bit old school but they still do the job. Anything other than that and I'd be guessing I'm afraid. My DD L85 rail is pretty decent too, just seems to be the Omegas for some reason. The finish on mine is like rough, lumpy
  3. It'll fit, don't buy one though. I've got the exact same thing and I know a couple of other guys with them and the build quality is seriously lacking. None of us can get anything mounted on account of all the rails being out of spec; much too wide for the majority of 20mm accessories, optics, grips, covers etc. Between that and the cheap as *fruitcage* paint they slathered on there.. $95? Pff! Try about $30 and I might get back to you.
  4. LaRue lower I'm pretty sure. King Arms do an AEG with those, and somebody else does a WA GBBr version.
  5. Effectiveness wise? Excellent, been using them for a while now. No good for keeping the mud and sand out, but most of the time in the UK that's not an issue, you just don't go crawling around on the floor. Obviously in urban/CQB environments it's nothing to worry about either, and seeing as you only need to buy one pouch for all your standard magazine types, they're a solid investment. They make FastMags entirely redundant as well.
  6. Finally got the DCS setup. I've kept the areas immediately left and right of the rifle pouches clear so that I can actually get at my pistol and pistol mags without snagging pouches. HSGI TACOs x 3 ATS Small upright utility Marz medium GP PIG Hydro carrier w/velcro Source 2L bladder
  7. Well personally I've been buying stuff in various shades of green for 4 years odd, so I've pretty much got enough of that stuff now, time to buy something else. I guess some people might say I'm just being a fashion victim, but... meh, that's up to them. I tried some Warrior tan against some of my brothers EI khaki, it is a bit different. I'd say the Eagle stuff was quite a golden sort of colour, Warrior tan is more of a milk chocolate brown, almost coyote. I like that as I think coyote is an ideal multi-terrain colour for pouches etc, just depends on your own environment that you'll be
  8. Which is precisely why people should be able to use whatever the hell they like, without fear of being unnecessarily and unduly criticised by others who have never actually used the equipment that they're so casually ripping in to. If people want to say that 'in their opinion' X rifle should have blablabla, fine, whatever. Stating (uninformed) opinions as if they are facts is so ridiculous and nonsensical it defies comprehension. If I see a picture of a gun I don't like, guess what I do? Shut the *fruitcage* up about it, scroll down the page to the next one and carry on with my life jus
  9. Heh, well I like a lot of patterns, but you know one of the best things about going for MC kit? You can get absolutely everything made in it.
  10. Right, proper gear photo. The Warrior DCS I already had, the rest is christmas presents (95% from and to myself of course). 11. Well, it never hurts for one to have high morals does it now?
  12. Few random bits, I just quite liked the photo if I'm honest.
  13. ~70g per magazine is a rather nice weight saving it has to be said.
  14. Ooh yay, more TACOs and MALICE clips. Merry fruitcage christmas... *_*

  15. Best photo of a firearm on washing machine I've ever come across, that's for damn sure.
  16. Excellent gear selection. Just swap the words 'speed' and 'ten' around.
  17. Looking forward to see that when it's done cpl. I've got that exact barrel sitting here waiting for the gun to bolt it on to, heh. I was extremely happy when they released that out of the blue I have to say, I'd never heard of the brand before but it's a decent quality piece and they clearly have an eye for gaps in the market.
  18. Somebody needs to start making 'stars' like that for the top of one's tactical christmas tree. Ironically, a colleague of mine found a shiny silver bauble in the shape of a WWII pineapple just the other day. Wish I'd nicked it now.
  19. Well that entirely depends on your skirmish site and the games they run, doesn't it? Every standard site I've played in the UK, the games last between around an hour-1.5 hours on average, I always carry 4 midcaps on me and only get through 2-3 usually. Maybe he also makes use of mag pouches on a belt? Anyway, I like your tactical pillows Jay. Good presentation, if a little flowery.
  20. I should probably stop swearing so much, in work people see it as meaning that what you say isn't serious, probably doesn't come across that way at all online, sorry if I came across as being kinda rude. It's not like it matters all that much for airsoft, I just thought it was interesting the way you've obviously got your mind so set in the new philosophy the old techniques don't even cross your mind any more.
  21. Awesome work Mirska, mid-lengths on a 14.5 right? Definitely a sweet gun right there, looking forward to seeing more of that. Hehe, you know some people do actually still use that super-old-school technique and go for the full vertical grip right? You've obviously trained yourself up so damn much on the modern *suitcase* you've totally forgotten about such things.
  22. I'm not sure on that on, the insides of the AR-15 EBB series are significantly different to the SCAR-L. Once they've made the SCAR-H all they'll have is the magazines, the insides of a HK417/AR-10 variant will have to be constructed very differently to the SCAR.
  23. Personally, I'm far from a fan of Paraclete so to my mind that's not the best example, plus it'll be out of the price range of 98% of airsofters anyway. As far as I'm aware, webbing is generally the superior material to use, that's the only reason I made the original point. Just going off what I've read and my experience of PCs and rigs that do use webbing for the loops, maybe I'm wrong, I'd never say I was an absolute expert on the subject.
  24. Or... The man who wants is weapon to actually blend in with his environment. Rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. If you were to change the 'standard' colour of metal firearms components to brown, now that we're all used to black, it'd look weird. But if they'd just started with brown/khaki back in the day it'd make for far far better camo, black is truly rubbish in that sense.
  25. And by 'not everyone', that's probably about 99% of the airsoft population. I like pretty guns, but if you want a tool to skirmish with then trademarks are about as important as a flashlight in the day time.
