  1. Damn you with the Norwegian Cryes.. I'm gonna have to buy replicas very soon.
  2. Anyone got any contact details (beyond e-mail) for QQexDERA?

  3. Lower markings are a lot better than any of my TMs, no doubt.
  4. Current jelly level - https://youtu.be/7xUAzRqIPus?t=1m29s
  5. Yeah I'd also say the best solid colours for camo effect are things like the UF-Pro brown/green, ranger green etc; at least to my eyes they just seem to change a lot and you can never quite make up your mind what colour they really are. I've got PCU Level 5 (softshell) stuff that's called 'Alpha Grey' and generally looks light grey but will turn a sort of light green or CB entirely depending on where you are and the light conditions. I still think Wolf and its' derivatives are good in the sense of being ideal for use in the dark vs solid black and will stick out less than any wood/transition
  6. Being monumentally sarcastic? Even speaking of myself, I probably wouldn't advocate that realistically.
  7. Got the Dytac grip on my short Avalon... just don't have a Gunfighter stock or any forend for it yet. One day I'll make it somewhere near as pretty as yours though, this I swear upon the graves of my ancestors.
  8. Oh it is? I did not know that. Thank you for educating me as I did not before realise this.
  9. Russian SF - Doing tubular forends before the AR15 made them cool.
  10. I'm only a few hours in to FO4 and currently rocking a pipe rifle with that very stock, along with a resi and very similar clothing pilfered from dead raiders.
  11. I found PTS and RS BAD levers would hit on the lower receiver inside the trigger guard before the bolt release could swing out far enough to engage, so you'd keep firing on empty most times. That'll vary depending on the exact length and angles of the item in question though.
  12. I'm off for some compulsory tourism. See ya'll in a bizzle!

If you want an MTP blanking panel off a PCS top I've got 10 bajillion of those I don't need.

  13. In modern parlance, a 'field jacket' is the new name for a smock, at least in my line of work. They make issue smocks to fit a wide range of sizes to account for everyone from tiny people to hulking great rugby players etc that you get in the forces. The people at either end aren't usually catered for very well admittedly, but it does mean that you can go for the smaller end of the size range for a shorter/less baggy fit.
  14. Most smocks I've encountered have hoods. Certainly most issued CS95 DPM/PCS MTP smocks you'll find have hoods and the issued Flecktarn one I used to own had one. Pretty sure the Plat-A-Tac smock I've currently got here also has one. I don't rate them much in a garment made of standard nyco/poly-cotton, but they're sometimes useful.
  15. Yeah someone pointed it out to me, ta. There's a lot of archived content on here.
  16. Long shot anyone might see this, but is there any way to search the archived content? Really need to find some of my first posts from about 10 years ago.
  17. Anyone managed to search the archived threads? Trying to figure out when I bought my first AEG and I know I posted it in Newbie way back some time in '06.

Go to advanced search then select forums rather then members

match it to "all words" and search by title and content

In "find author" put your username

Search in "archives" not live forums

      Display results as posts

Result sorting last update time, ascending

      should work

Well hell, missed that little archive radio button, cheers.

  18. Well hot damn.. there I was thinking the days of anyone actually taking the time to build stuff that was cool and different were over. After the years it took me to do my first LM4, I can certainly empathise a lot. Though I must confess I'm not personally a fan of Geissele forends or KAC in general (at least their newer stuff) but they both look awesome. If I had to pick on aesthetics, I'd go for the Jack with that Cerakote, laser markings, the MRO and some of the other little details. But the KeyMod and short barrel would certainly be more to my taste practicality wise. My next GBB
  19. dunno wat u mean m8.. carnt see it. Plenty of texturing on the frame at least, good luck manipulating that slide in non-ideal conditions though. Interesting how extreme the cut in the grip is, shows how long that was being done before commercial options eventually came out (I'm assuming these guns are real old, I don't actually know). Those clips rather scare me though. The 1911 safety has a real short movement on it; would not fancy 'holstering' IWB with just one of those things, not one bit.
  20. My perspective on 'authenticity' is very simple: I have none. If I could give less than zero *fruitcage*s about looking 'correct', I really really would. If that makes you sad, then sorry but you'd better avoid the internet because I am going to continue posting stuff you don't like. I know I'm not the only one.
  21. You don't have commie-cam that takes CP pads? Ooh.. awks..
  22. Still a better skirmish pistol than a WE Hi-Capa.
