  1. Actually ponied up for a proper fancy pants charger with LED screens and everything.  Only took 14 years.

  2. Looking for a Foliage rear MBUS (PTS or Magpul) in the unlikely event someone has a dusty old one knocking around.

Dye an FDE one?  Not sure how well it would work but if you're desperate...

      TheFull9

Turned out F-S still has 12 PTS ones in stock, lol.

  3. Marshall told me Thursday night that propane is going to break my 226E2.  That was a cool story.

Really wasn't that hot under ground/surrounded by concrete and at night when this game was going on.  Don't think it was even 20 in reading that evening, not a struggle for the gun.

Well that's just crazy gas 'see.

  4. If you go here and click the article about uniform options you can read some things I wrote - www.itstactical.com/topics/gearcom/

  5. Soz,. rule break - I've got an actual ton of gear to shift, so if you're after some decent stuff cheaply (especially if you wear a small shirt) take a gander: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjPXJkHw

  6. Anyone remember the name of the first 'indie' game on steam? You played a robot being attached by robots pirates on a space station, had to go around the place fixing everything.

lol, nah that's waaaaay newer. This was a proper 3D 3rd person game, no combat just puzzles. I had the bloody demo of it but I can't even find it on google now.

  7. Anyone bought from Socom Tactical lately? No review posted here it seems.

Buy from them every few months usually pyro/small bits but never had any issues mail order or in store.

      TheFull9

      Sweet, thanks.

  8. Anyone got 1-2 bog standard AEG AR trigger guards sat in a box unused per chance? I seem to have about a dozen magpul ones, but of course need a normal one to fit this current build.

  9. The old Airbana map seems to have gone now. "oh we'll rely on facebook to publicise our site".. the *fruitcage* search on facebook is useless AF! When you don't play that often to keep up on what's closed and new places opening this is a PITA.

Does the UKARA website show area/region next to the site names? The list won't load for me at the moment but they will have the best database of current sites, if it was searchable it'd make things much easier for players.

    2. TheFull9

      TheFull9

I can't even access the list it seems, something about requesting to read it triggers an alert related to a firewall.

I don't do the facebooks, so for my local scene I have no clue as to anything that might be actually close by happening. Sad too as we have had perfect weather most of winter to play.

  10. Are ear lobe expanders, vape things, *suitcase* facial hair and hitler-youth haircuts just everywhere these days or is it the the crowd airsoft attracts? I live in a bubble.

Perhaps just a proportional representation of band wagon jumpers?

    3. Skarclaw

      Skarclaw

ear lobe expanders and vapes are definitely over-represented in airsoft haha

    4. TheFull9

      TheFull9

I don't know why I'm at all surprised realistically, we're all the misfits/non-conventionals/conformists/whatever you want to call it. Difference was a decade ago that just meant you were probably a proper, traditional nerd who hung his RIFs above his LOTR sword replicas.

  11. In case anyone's not aware; US Army (so then probably everyone down the line) is moving from the M9 to the Sig P320. Fingers crossed for a nice Marui.

I'm sure they're too busy with the 25th anniversary Resident Evil M9 to notice.

Eugh.. please guys don't make me think about it.

    4. hitmanNo2

      hitmanNo2

The M9 is all part of the plan for the P320. They're just trying to find the right shade of brown.

  12. Anyone else keep a list of everything airsoft/kit related they buy?

I don't actually note down prices paid, just items bought/things I need to get to finish a gun or rig etc. Then when they come in they get lined through.

    3. Skarclaw

      Skarclaw

I have a word doc for each "project", see how much various shops are asking, how many items I can get from the same one - don't use it in retrospect though

    4. PureSilver

      PureSilver

I've got a master .xlsx with all the spending for actual and potential projects. I'm not sure if I'm hiding from it, or it's hiding from me.

  13. Over ten years I've been at this lark. Been selling and buying kit here and there for most of that time, been hiring skilled folks to get work done every now and then for a few years now. Not once have I had a problem and then when one does happen it's with someone I'd carefully researched, felt sure was above reproach. Just bloody enraging.

Well yes, quite. I'll have to write the details in a thread at some point, but the guy in question has been on here a long time and had done good work for me once before which made it all the more unexpected.

  14. Anyone got any contact details (beyond e-mail) for QQexDERA?

      Tinkerton

nah, just more hilarious ones like that other one you sent me. Or any velcro backed pouches.

  16. Anyone managed to search the archived threads? Trying to figure out when I bought my first AEG and I know I posted it in Newbie way back some time in '06.

    1. Skarclaw

      Skarclaw

Go to advanced search then select forums rather then members

match it to "all words" and search by title and content

In "find author" put your username

Search in "archives" not live forums

      Display results as posts

Result sorting last update time, ascending

      should work

    2. Skarclaw

      Skarclaw

oh yeah select newbie section in "find in forum" if you posted it there

eBay of course, never had an issue on a forum. Even zero-int. The thing I don't get is why people think they can just ignore a problem, as if you won't escalate when they fob you off repeatedly.

  18. I can't say I know anything much about them, but I feel the TM Type 89 must be one of the most under-rated airsoft guns on the market. Wish I wasn't such a gear ###### so I could get one...

  19. For some reason I'm imagining a world where every time anyone on airsoft group/forum/site posted loadout or gear pic everyone made the "I can't see it coz camo" joke. Hard hitting stuff.

I've been there many a time on guard. They started with all the hi-vis malarkey when I was in training in 08, all of a sudden everything coming out of stores had silver strips sewn on. Presumably because somebody got run the fk over.

  20. SHOT sure is cool, but my goodness is it frantic. All those 'Tube videos of exhibitors calmly going through gear as 1-2 people stroll by... NOPE

  21. Any Australians around? I'm after some apparel from a store down under and they don't wanna ship further than New Zealand.

  22. Anyone likely to order some patches from Violent Little Machine Shop in the next 2 weeks? I've got a discount code here I'm never gonna use.

      No worries mate.

  23. Anybody need any MALICE clips? I've got a bucket full here that are about to get binned.

  24. X3200s.. do they take any sort of standardised camera tri-pods? The little ACM stand mine came with has decided to disintegrate.

    1. aznriptide859

      aznriptide859

Yup standard 1/4" camera screw mount.

Thinking about it, I've got this gorilla-pod sat here doing nothing that will probably work. Thanks lads.

  25. Called both FirstSpear and Kryptek this evening, spoke to Beyond Clothing last week. I'm sure the same generic white girls work in the CS at all of these tactical/outdoor gear companies...

When you ring up 3 different places and speak to Kristin, Kristen and Kirsten, well... I'm sorry but generalisations will ensue.

I now have the mental image of one average white girl sitting in an office with three phones - one labelled FirstSpear, one Kryptek and one labelled Beyond Clothing.

    4. TheFull9

      TheFull9

Well I was starting to wonder along those lines myself. Except there'd also probably be phones for Crye, Blue Force Gear, HSGI and Patagonia.
