Off penguin hunting 'til June. If anyone needs a rusted up SLR let me know.
-
Want me to look after your WOC's...
-
I would be surprised if there are any souvenirs left.
At least you get a extras on the pay check plus there isn't much to buy whilst you are there.
-
Heh, sorry john, they're fine where they are.
Will - you'd be surprised. They keep finding things to blow up every couple of weeks, and that's excluding all the land mines.

Well.. I was going to buy some TM SCARs, then Dytac had to go and release their EBB outer barrels with extended gas systems... 1st world problems.
-
Heh, when 7 mags all do the same thing then I'm either seriously unlucky or it's a design fault. Anyways, next 2 guns planned will be electric in one way or another, I need some more weapons that are going to stay dependable for skirmishing and work with my gear/mags.
-
GHK AKs is pretty awesome, but it'll need a good weekend of work on the mags to seal them I reckon....Finally got a batch of ProWin V2 coming for my AR, we'll see how those work....
-
Look forward to your report on those mate.

Hessian screening and disposable pyros do not get along.
-
I probably got close, but no I only threw one pyro that day, I'm not a fan of them to be honest. Someone else set it on fire though, cut right in to my lunch break.
-
im not a fan of the hessian just seems abit crappy its supposed to be a wall i cant shoot over/round/trough/under but the other team can just seem me through it so no one moves anywere
-
Budget limits I suppose, I can quite understand your point though, similar issue with all the big glass store fronts.

I'm 5'11.. heh
-
heh.. i'm taller and at least 10 years younger
-
Me too! We should ask for royalties from 5.11 Tactical!
-
Think how many sales they're gaining every time someone reads my height details on an online profile?

Hydrate or die!
-
So then your slogan would be "Dehydrate AND die!" lol
-
Beer is undoubtedly quite manly, but it's also terribly un-tactical.

But It works with BF3!

ICS Garand is 8mm
-
On Youtube vids of it, the ICS rep says its 8mm too. SO MUCH FAIL. First it was an SMLE, then an M1 garand, now its an 8mm oddity.
-
Maybe 8mm bushings is what they meant?
-
Don't really mind it being 8mm myself. But depending on the price, one may as well just go with the Marushin gbb.

Anyone have a link to a good appendix of tactical type acronyms/abbreviations?
-
I dunno, will's link is pretty handy. I try and stay positive about people, there's so much corruption, disloyalty and hypocrisy in this world it wouldn't be good to start dwelling on the negative too much.

This thread is pretty useful: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/30098-oi-geardoes-part-2/page__hl__elite ops colour

Thanks stalker, got a few good ideas together.

Ooh.. shiny new PMAGs that work in guns which aren't ARs. Good idea that.
-
Basically eliminates whole point of EMAG's. *points and laughs at British Army*
-
It does now, but us using the old steel magazines for the entire time that we've had EMAGs may well have meant a couple more dead men. Our EMAGs are dual window, I don't really see how the MoD is in any sort of comical situation as a result of this release.
-
I love MAGPUL so much... it's hot healthy to like a company this much, but I guess that's their whole concept :|
Nice new PMAGS actually, me gusta!

Work kit updated. Issue combat gloves replaced with Mechanix, cheap fleece hat replaced with Arc'teryx beanie. Definitely the most tacticool armourer now.
-
suppose, just geardos then! Nice review of the Sabre by the way!

After waiting for years I finally get my 5.11 Sabre, and what do they do? Bring out a bloody version 2 of course..
-
Personally I think the joke's on them because the v1 has colour matched zips and looks infinitely better, plus it's cheaper. Either way of course, being 5.11 it's built solid.
-
Had my sabre for 2 years. Great bit of kit for autumn/winter. Too hot for summer though.
-
Yeah I wore it in the house for about 5 minutes before I did my video review, sweating like a bugger before I got outside.

The pricing on the UR-Tac stuff is pretty good. However, there's gonna be some people kicking themselves real hard when it all becomes standard issue for the USN in the not too distant future.
-
But but they match your trousers CK. You have to buy it! I am looking forward to picking up some AOR2 when it becomes issue
-
Heh, yeah I think I'd go for the (substantially cheaper) OPS UBACS if I wanted a top half to go with the trousers.

raf reg: *Not* perfect scores. Armourer: 100% of shots on target. dats wat im talkin bout'
-
Thanks, was curious. I forgot to say that my M16 qual included three positions, standing/braced, kneeling, and prone.
Did you have to shoot wearing a gas mask at any point? We did. Oddly enough, I actually hit dead center while wearing the mask. The instructor had never seen that before.
-
Army guys do, not us though. Did plenty of running around in them though.
-
Yeah, we still MOPP suits for ORE/ORIs. 12hr shifts wearing full MOPP gear sucks, luckily, being aircrew, I never had to wear it all the time, just when I was going to/from the jet. Mostly, though, I got to skip out on the exercises as I would volunteer to be a roleplayer, mostly simulating a wounded airman after an 'attack'. After I informed the inspectors I had "hadji" and "russian" airsoft kit, they wanted me to use it lol!

that just made my day that bit brighter thanks

Rosie Jones is perfect.

Why more airsofters don't buy this every year, I simply cannot fathom. The guns and girls are beyond awesome, and half the profits go to helping veterans. Expect a video look at the calendar/card deck when they arrive with me shortly.

"For the guy who still needs to work when the mercury drops"
That sound like what you're after!
-
You sir, are a top bloke. When i'm in work I'm always having to switch between fiddly little jobs and then lifting big heavy stuff, trying to do that in the winter with the big thick issue leather gloves has always been the biggest PITA, but those look like they should do very nicely.
