UK drivers. Do you protect your NCB or just blag it? Seems a gamble either way and I was just wondering what others do.

My wife checked when she last renewed - was only about £20 more. definately worth it compared to what you'd lose if you DID have a crash.

I don't because I've only got 3 years. Once I hit 5 years NCB I probably will.

Time to open a gearbox, I am sure nothing could possibly go wrong.

Hop units are tricky, but nowt really difficult. Also, the v3 gearbox is one of the easiest to work on.

Flat heads are better than hex, at least, however I agree about crosshead/pozidrive. I've just made the hard decision to start using torx wood screws instead of pozi's. Even though they're literally twice the price.

I hate allen/hex bolts. They are the worst combination of poor torque transfer, and easy camming out of the driver. Gimme Torx or Robertson bolts any day :<

My usual random questions .. which i could just test when i get home .. but does a Full size MP5 stock fit an MP5K?

As above, sadly not. The full size MP5's are different at the rear of the receiver. The full size ones use one pin (and the stock slides over the receiver) whereas the K uses 2 pins and the stock/endplate slides INSIDE the receiver.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement pin that holds on the foregrip / handguard on a MP5k that features a sling loop for clipping a sling to? Looking at using the sling tension option to save on a stock.

for an R-hop do I want a hard or soft hop rubber? I thought hard so it seals better

^ This. usually the softer ones seal better in the hop unit. usually.

AFAIK, most of the post P226 hop systems have been pretty much the same in terms of operation.

renegade: whhy not use a baby arduino and some solenoids? that way you should be able to have a multi switch, barrels 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, or 1 and 2, then 3 and 4, or all four
