ok thanks I used ply wood for the foregrip, and also some thin plywood for the panels on the stock (i'm not sure if you can see them) i used basic tools : sander, jigsaw, saw, tack, clamp , woodglue, sandpaper and a bit of wood filler. The stock is hollow and is made from 4 pieces of wood. 2 ply panels and two bits of a plank of wood which i found in the garage There is actually more space for the wires, fuse and battery than in the original stock Its fixed on with 2 screws. ok. im back after a few days of sanding, filling and reworking my stock and handgaurd. This is what it looks like at the moment: anything i can do to improve it??? I used a wax on the wood. Originally for dark oak (furniture). i was thinking of maybe putting another layer on. Any constructive ideas/ suggestions are welcome

any ideas for the hand gaurd??? what dont you like about it? I didnt really have any ideas of what it should look like when i made it so that might explain why its not that good. It isnt permanent and i can put the old one back on anytime.

look if you dont like it fine. i spent time making that. As i said, its the first time so i am not skilled at this stuff. Try posting constructive comments and not saying that its horrible and i should stop making stuff....

Wow. Nice work to everyone that posted. Just started the homemade stuff with a stock and hand gaurd for my G3SG1. Took me 2 days to finish it. But it still needs something to darken and protect the wood. The silencer is homemade and need a bit of paint. Btw i already posted in the G3 thread but i found this one after..... comments are welcome, any ideas on improvements or anything like that....... If you dont like it, dont comment.

Hey Well heres my JG G3SG1. Just finished the stock and hand gaurd this morning. Just need some varnish or something on the wood to protect and darken it, and the silencer needs a bit of paint too. Feel free to comment. Its the first time ive done this. But i just love building stuff so it definatly wont be the last
