FYI the frame was repainted. There are older pic in the thread before repainting. I bought the DIY Duracoat kit with its own sprayer and whatnot and re finished the frame. Worked out ok since otherwise its in different color between the stippled spot, dremeled spots, and the original color. I never really liked the groove, since they are really meant for whoever the glock was originally made for, and with my Asian hand I can't get my hand high enough on the grip. Glock also has really pronounced finger bumps. The newer stuff like the HK45 has less pronounced ones and does not bother me nea

I wish there are actually some custom slide option for the VFC....

I like everything, except I think if you are already doing pretty heavy frame mod, might as well get rid of the finger bumps.

I like it a lot more than I thought I would. With the steel slide and the new grip style compared to the USP it's a very satisfying gun to hold and shoot...

Most of the time it's the recoil spring, which makes the cycling sluggish since it takes longer to return to battery. The VFC M&P and the PPQ are both pretty soft spring, but their slides are also pretty light. Would be harder to refit heavier spring on those platform I think. I am guessing the gas system are alright because VFC likes to make them full auto for whatever reason.... The Hi-Capa one happens to fit here, and Hi-Capa platform has lots of tuning options. The murmur of the Taiwanese board is that VFC will probably make steel slide for most of their stuff on the aftermarket side also, so I'd be interesting to see their new products coming too...

Honestly, I wish my old TM G17 with the Guarder steel slide runs like that...

Kinda took the plunge and got a KWA one with RA-Tech steel slide set plus the 16mm threaded barrel. I've had some steel slide Glock but this is a beast....runs better than TM Glock with steel slide. I don't know what spring RA-Tech(through AST) sold this with, running the gun its snappy, but when you are cycling it definitely feels kinda sluggish. I have a spare Guarder Hi-Capa spring so I swapped it out after cutting it to length where it can still lock back, and it seems to run better. I'm pretty used to the unwieldy USP grip, this feels much nicer....
