Been busy recently MC Shopping Bags (got some left, hinthint) Bigger Version of my HaM Pack, called "HaM +" Enough space in the outer pocket and Velcro in the inner: Messenger bag with Cobra Buckles: And a rather large order in CB and MC (and black, but forgot to take pics...):

Thanks CKinnerley! I know what you mean. The belt itself is 2" (50mm), I don't think a lot of pant have belt loops that big. I have 1.5" (38mm) webbing, but the belt loops are usually in the place where one would benefit the most from the padding (on the sides, right next to the hip bone). A pad for 1.5" might even fit through most loops, I'll do a proto when I'm not as busy as right now. Got another idea for a MOLLE/PALS compatible belt that is only 1.5" wide...

Finished an interesting job in January: A guy bought a Solidfox CPC and wanted me to replace all the PALS/MOLLE webbing with original Multicam webbing. Was quite interesting to take apart and to see how the Chinese guys made it. Build quality wasn't even that bad, they just used a a non-bonded thread. BTW this mod costs around the same as the carrier itself, but it's still cheaper than the original... And I bought some Cobra Buckles!

OK, now the problem is that zippers should generally not be load-bearing. But because of the integrated(?) pouches, I don't see any room to add the webbing with anything else than a simple seam. And that's not optimal either... So: 1. Replace the zipper a. Find a similar separating zipper, open the seams, remove old zipper, add new zipper and sew. But your typical home machine will have troubles with that. b. Ask DBT to replace it and hope they'll do it for free. 2. Add buckles a. Do it yourself. Buy 1" buckles (2), some 1" webbing, and sew. But again, your homemachine will have

Sorry for the late response, I talked to Arnie and now got commercial status, yeeey! Price is around 150 CHF/USD, depending on extra features, without shipping. At the moment I have Coyote Brown and MultiCam. Unfortunately I cannot justify the expenses to add another pattern/color, because it would not only be fabric, but triglides, buckles, Mil-W-17337 webbing, elastic webbing, zippers, binding tape, velcro and paracord...

@Bando: I'd love to, but I'm out of zipper glider/pulls. Only got black left, and an order from the states will take its time... Should I pm you when i get some? @Geri: I only use mil-spec webbing, fabric and thread + ITW / US Made plastic parts. But your friend's stuff looks amazing, especially the binding of the yoke! FYI, binding is considered the the most challenging sewing operation

Thanks! But from a sewing perspective it's just a big zippered pouch with some extras like shoulder straps I almost feel like I'm cheating, I started a "civilian" sewing shop this spring and have an industrial walking foot machine...

Did a small assault pack named HaM, Hydro and More 45cm x 25cm x 10cm, about 10 liters, PALS on the front and Sides, Hydroport on the top, Hydropouch inside and a small pouch on the outside for random small stuff!

Thanks guys! I bought it because i want to turn sewing into a business, would be crazy just for hobby purposes... I'll set up my shop next week and snap a pic! @squale: But I have a walking foot But all my gear so far has been made on a Pfaff 360 home sewing machine, so yours is definitely GTG.

Try rockywoods.com. Rather high prices but good selection and they sell by the yard, you don't have to buy full rolls. And they're nice folks! I recommend them for guys who are just starting to sew, and GSI for the "advanced" gearmakers who can justify to buy full rolls.

I Like! It has just the right size for a revolver, not too small and not too big. I thought about buying it, is it just a collector's piece or can it be used? Cheers
  20. Did somebody say CB/Khaki/Tan/Poo Color of the month? All items expect the ones in the top left corner are homemade. The background is nice roll of mil-spec 500d CB, you can still see the cutout for the mini-MAV-thingy which is above the MOLLE-belt.
  21. My TM SG552 Nothing fancy: - Stubby foregrip (G&P?) - Bushnell TRS-25 - Cut down the front sight a bit ( The reddot "dot" was blocked by the ring) - TK Twist Barrel - MOSFET + Lipo Future plans: Possibly a light tuning to 350 FPS, was thinking about a M100, steel bushings, silent piston head and spring guide. Suggestions? Cheers
  22. Here's my beltkit, all items except the utility are homemade! The holster and pistol mag pouch is 1000D, everything else 500D CB or AOR2. Future plans: 1. Finally battletest it! But it really feels comfy when I jump around with it in my apartment. 2. Find a tan canteen Cheers
  23. here you go, but its not my whole loadout! I quite like it, just the lowest pouch is not really a "fast drawer", would be good to put comms there (if I had some...). I'm also planing a flat admin pouch to put on the top square

I know, I said that I use paper models for every new pouch/thingie/whatnot! I'm just saying that doing a quality piece of gear will be a bit more complicated than drawing a pattern, adding 1-2 cm at the edge, cut out and sew. I use diytactical a lot, but please don't go there and ask newbie questions! The guys there do it for a living and real soldiers and won't take it kindly if some airsofters ask questions that were answered a hundred times before. I didn't have to ask a single question, you'll find everything there. And a lot is just experience (=try and error), I mean I just started

Thought I post it here as well: A bandoleer I made, the lower MOLLE square (on the right in the pic) is meant to ride just above the belt on your left side. All mil-spec (MIL-W-43668) CB webbing, ITW nexus hardware, 500d AOR2 Cordura on the front and 1000d CB cordura on the back. The whole bandoleer is padded with 4mm neoprene. There are still some blue chalk marks on it Need to rub them out... Murdoc: Your way is good for clothing, but for gear like pouches it's different. There's quite some things to concern when you want to do a quality piece of gear, e.gb. what kind of thre
