  1. The Stark G17 sample I tested was accurate and had range right out of the box. It far outperformed any G17 by TM and WE I've encountered.
  2. G&P barrels can especially be a PITA. We've seen a lot of variance in the thread pitch throughout G&P's barrels over the years. Not just from batch to batch, but also variances within entire batches of G&P barrels.
  3. Hmmm ... couldn't find them on TMC's site. Unfortunate.
  4. Looks good. Your BC 1.5 is upside down tho. Just an FYI.
  5. Ivan, who makes the trademarked M&P? I know it's a WE, but where did you get it pre-trademarked from?
  6. FrogLube is good stuff but it's basis of lubrication is for internal and frictional heat to consistently return it from a gummy like state to a low viscosity state. You don't really get that happening to the same degree with GBBs and therefore while FrogLube works, it's not working at the optimal state it was designed for. Since switching over to FireClean I've been curious to see how it'd work with GBBRs. It stays put on the moving parts better than most other lubes I've used and doesn't get gummy at all. I'm just not sure how it does with o-rings.
  7. blingblip, not initially no.
  8. Plus I'm pretty sure the upper is a one piece upper on the MA upper. Not three piece upper like on previous LM4 incarnations.
  9. These are preliminary pre-production samples that are going to Shot Show for final approval by Mega Arms. They were rushed out the door by KWA to make the deadline and KWA did a really fantastic job on them. The guns will be complete guns. Not sure on MSRP yet. Since these are finished working units, the timeline should be pretty quick depending on KWA's production schedule. The rails are the PTS Rainier Arms (licensed) Evolution rails which are hard annodized, light and strong. We're still unclear if the guns will ship with this exact rail or if a new proprietary Mega Arms (licensed) rail wil
  10. How's that trigger mod holding up?
  11. This was intriguing to me when I first saw SKD listing it, but my only concern is the lack of padding throughout the bag. All my PCs have level III and some have level IV plates. I'd be worried that I might forget what I have inside the bag, or someone else might not realize what's in the bag and drop the entire thing potentially damaging the ceramic plates. Great review though and good pics. It's given me a better idea of the overall sizing relative to the PC itself. SKD's pics make the bag look massive ... which it clearly isn't. It's just big enough to put your armor kit into. Thanks for po
  12. Actually no. There are certain upgrades that are considered acceptable and reasonable within manufacturer allowances, and some that will void the warranty. For example, some manufacturers might include a quickChange spring mechanism with the understanding you may wish to downgrade or upgrade your AEG's power slightly one way or the other. If you go past what they would consider a reasonable threshold then you are considered to knowingly void your warranty. Some gearboxes do not have a quick change spring mechanism or instead outright just have a sticker on the gearbox seam saying that if the s
  13. Installs recoil kit ... instantly voids warranty. Win! From what I understand KWA did their best to balance gas efficiency with felt recoil. I'd rather have fantastic gas efficiency on a full auto mag dump and decent but not incredible felt recoil over meh gas efficiency and reduced product life but great felt recoil. If this enhanced recoil kit is anything like others I've seen for similar platforms ... this is probably a bad idea.
  14. Shane. If you want, you can send the upper receiver to me and I'll cut the threads for you. LMK.
  15. Oh, btw be careful of dry firing the LM4. Doing that and especially letting the bolt return to battery with an empty mag in the gun will chew away at your mag followers.
  16. I don't know a single instructor in all my classes that would ever state that taking your finger off the trigger between trigger presses in a string of shots is "good". It's wasted motion. The take up on the first stage of the LM4 is about 1/4", and maybe about 1/8" during the second stage in which the gun actually goes off, and another 1/4" to fully and completely release the trigger. Completely releasing the trigger between shots means that you've essentially added 1/2" (+/-) of wasted motion which you never needed to do. Multiply that by let's say 10 shots, you've added approximately 5 inch
  17. Worth mentioning, the owner of OffTheGridConcepts is a good friend of mine, and he is one of the few kydex holster and accessory makers that openly makes holsters and such not only for RS products but also for airsoft when requested. As you know, many airsoft guns are out of spec compared to real guns which generally forces airsofters to have to take a heat gun to resize the kydex and that often results in the kydex not having optimal retention and smooth draws. Furthermore, RS kydex mag pouches used for airsoft mags aren't always ideal since airsoft mags are often shaped a little differently
  18. That's called slapping the trigger ... aka ... poor trigger control. Which should tell the shooter they need to work on their software, not hardware. I know a bunch of LEOs that run SSA's as their duty guns. Some feel the S3G is a little too short for their taste. With the S3G, as soon as you start applying pressure it's going to go. The SSA has a distinct take up that guys on duty prefer. The weight of the break is about the same though.
  19. The S3G is indeed a 2 stage that feels like a light and smooth single stage. It's like the perfect single stage. The SSA is a true two stage and is excellent in its own right. The Super-V is basically a S3G but with a slightly heavier trigger pull than the S3G. This was made per Kyle's request as a lot of shooters were reporting double taps (this was direct from the horses mouth as I asked him this question myself at Shot this year). Personally I've never experienced that, and I think it more comes down to people needing to spend more time to learn proper trigger control and reset, but whateve
  20. I run Geissele S3G triggers in 5 of my ARs. A couple more still have Geissele SSA's. None of those drop below 3.5 lbs in trigger pull. That IMHO is a trigger pull that should be as light as it goes for any end use other than competitive sports. If I were designing/redesigning the LM4, I'd make an optional trigger drop in kit for the LM4 based on either the S3G or SSA. And I'd certainly would redesign the default OEM trigger to be more like the standard GI trigger.
  21. Gonna have to disagree. I shoot my AR's a lot in classes and other training (from 2,200 rounds minimum to 6K in a super busy month). I've tried a lot of different triggers from standard GI triggers, to Geisseles, JPs, LMT, KAC, Timneys, etc. The current OEM KWA LM4 trigger is much more like a two stage trigger than a single stage GI trigger. There's a clear take up of slack in the KWA trigger's first stage at which point you hit the wall/break of the second stage. The problem with the KWA trigger is the fact that if you don't decide to follow through with the final trigger break, the trigger w
  22. No. They're not made from real PMAG bodies. They did a great job replicating the feel of the polymer, but it's not the same as the real steel blend.
  23. Consider getting the gel seals for your sordins. They cost $30-40 but they'll give you a much better seal including around eye pro therefore giving you potentially better hearing protection and certainly better all day comfort.
  24. Agreed. I like the paint job and wear so far though.
