  4. Digging the finish on the can. There are so many ways to achieve that affect. Which route did you take to get that result? Your's came out great! I've been contemplating reproducing my Magpul FDE AEG with an LM4 since I've mostly switched over to this platform. So many projects, so little time. LOL I really like the BCM Gun Fighter Grip. LMK if you want any help with stippling the grip. I do my own grips often (pic 1, pic 2). I'd do it FOC.
  5. I've shot quite a bit suppressed on real ARs, both semi and full auto. These GBBRs are still noticeably quieter than the real thing. Put a replica suppressor on there and you could fool some RS shooters unfamiliar with airsoft GBBs.
  6. I used a heat gun for a couple minutes. Only one of the 8-9 barrels I've done came off without heat and zero effort. All the others required applied heat ... and patience. Looking good Akira!
  7. What aznriptide859 said. I have some Vickers Tactical Glock plates, and they won't fit TM or KSC/KWA Glock mags. I can't see how regular RS Glock mags would fit either.
  8. I've tried installing Glock outer barrels into my ATPs. The fit has always been tight with some binding going on. I did not investigate it beyond that initial test fitting.
  9. And by changes in design, I meant compared to the WA system ... since it was asked if this was compatible with the WA system (which as we all know the WA and Inokatsu systems have a lot of cross compatibility with RS uppers).
  10. The KSC GBBR was designed by KWA for the Japanese market and therefore would probably pass BATF standards. That said, doesn't it feature unlicensed Colt markings and therefore subject to seizure by US Customs? The KWA LM4 is also beefed up in some parts compared to the KSC counterpart. The KWA LM4 was submitted to BATF and officially approved by the BATF as legal for importation. The WE M4, G&P M4 GBB, etc never was. The logic being that large or individual shipments of the KWA LM4 will always pass through customs, whereas the other brands' GBBRs run the risk of seizure. Do those other
  11. That was a conscious decision on KWA's part. That and a few other key alterations to the core design ensured that the BATF would allows the product to be imported into the US.
  12. I strongly recommend checking out the KWA LM4 Forum. They have a lot of plethora of information on this product.
  13. Several of us now have these guns. A couple of us have been using them for quite a while now. I've been very happy with their out of the box performance so far.
  14. [offTopic] I carry around a cheap and lightweight magnified monocular which goes up to around 24x magnification. That allows me to ID friend or foe at range without the added weight on my gun. [/offTopic]
  15. I understand people liking the look of a magnifier, just don't get the function of having it for airsoft. It adds a significant amount of weight to the gun and for the ranges we shoot, it just excessive. Heck I shoot out to 400 yards with my real AR and a red dot and don't use a magnifier. 100 yards and in ... and with the amount of deviation we see in airsoft accuracy ... I don't get it.
  16. Needs more pics of the girl in pink. Cute girls in airsoft is a rarity. Just sayin'.

  19. That's a huge reason why I have the tape on the back. It let's me index my thumb and press on the rear of the slide while reholstering to ensure it doesn't end up out of battery. The 3M tape is from some left over PMAG grips I bought from Rainier Arms years ago. EhobbyAsia sells pretty much the same thing for PTS PMAGs: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pas-3m-slip-resistant-sticker-for-magpul-pts-pmag-m-version.html From what I understand, it's 3M Safety Walk Rubber Tape.

I don't know personally. I've never been a fan of the Crye gun clip and have never bought one or tested it out.
  21. Some real steel 1911's (including high end models) can be a bit problematic regarding the grip safety. The general rule of thumb by most 1911 gun smiths is that a grip safety is flawed when you have to depress it MORE than 50% of the grip safety's travel before the gun fires. This weekend I was at a 2 day adv. handgun class taught by Larry Vickers, former Delta operator and considered by many an authority on the 1911 platform. One of the students was having issues with his 1911's grip safety. Larry was very clear that in this day and age, the grip safety was absolutely redundant given that the

Here are some pics of my most recent ATP stipple job (this is my third one now): Slide Modifications: - Replaced the OEM rear sights with 10-8 Performance Glock Rear Sights - The front sight is the OEM front sight but with NiteSiters Glow in the dark dot installed for low/no light - Painted out the frame engravings. - Rubberized 3M Grip Tape on rear of the slide to enhance reholstering and for practicing CQC drills Heavy frame modification: - 360° Frame stippling (back strap is still removable) - Radiused the trigger guard both on the inside face and smoothed the outsid
  23. Since we're posting pics of KWA ATP's in here (makes sense since they're essentially Glocks with slightly different externals ... and there isn't another more appropriate thread available) ... here's the before and after of my most recent ATP stipple job (this is my third one now): Before: After: Slide Modifications: - Replaced the OEM rear sights with 10-8 Performance Glock Rear Sights - The front sight is the OEM front sight but with NiteSiters Glow in the dark dot installed for low/no light - Painted out the frame engravings. - Rubberized 3M Grip Tape to
  24. I tried some 3M velcro on mine ... while it wouldn't fly off it didn't seem particularly steady. Running around yielded some shaky footage.
