  1. By the sounds of it, that is oone of those 'out of the box' shooters. Any upgrades you would do internally would not really give much more than a little extra here and there and would really be a case of 'is £50 worth the extra 1m of range' kind of thing. 'FireKnife'
  2. Seems I do nothing but stand around trying to look 'cool' Plus I really need to stop offering to be a medic, ended up with nothing to do as everyone just kept using the mobile spawn points after a short while anyway. 'FireKnife'
  3. Personally I would take a few more rails off like the side one but the irons are really nice. Was in an airsoft shop last night and couldn't help looking over the G&G SIG models. They do look tasty. 'FireKnife'
  4. Haha, nah I like guns being stripped back to classic looks. Hell even an M4 looks nice when it is just bare bones and compact without all the fancy rails 'FireKnife'
  5. Take the rails off to make it more comfortable and use the irons . Most attachments in airsoft are unnecessary anyway. 'FireKnife'
  6. Ok, as I appear to be stuck with a KA Sportline M4 does anybody know a good way / how easy it would be to get the 14.5 inch outer barrel set down to a more managable 10 inch like the CQBR / MK18 Mod0 thingy? (Aside from chopping it to bits)

Again I said 'easy' as in undo a few screws, remove a few parts and put some new ones on not cut chunks off

Way easier to cut the inner barrel if the outer has a removable extension. That way you don't have to mess with hop e.t.c. especially if you're not familiar with AEGs. An inner barrel chop literally takes a minute and is a piece of ######.

Still more effort than I planned.

Though as said now I am more hoping it sells as my other gun has arrived.

  7. Well I had a crack on one of these a couple of weeks ago and to me it was like when I held a M&P. The gun feels and operates fine, crisp action, good range from the hop but like most modern guns it just doesn't fit my hand well enough. In fact with me it almost encourages me to grip it incorrectly which I don't like (but that is just me). Still nice finish and seems to have a nice loud report. 'FireKnife'
  8. Oh if only I had that accent (or a Canadian guys voice that can do the accent) Though I would be tempted to do such a loadout but for now it is more similar to the ones in Heat where everything is hidden-ish under a suit jacket on slings and the like. However instead of a large Colt Commando thing it is going to be a more sensible semi / full auto pistol with back up and a PPK/S would make a better back up I think than a full size 1911. 'FireKnife'
  9. Is it just me or does anyone else wish Maruzen just made a classic PPK and not the PPK/S? Also only $120? Damn. However now I really want a PPK/S, they would work as a great back up to my new planned loadout. 'FireKnife'
  10. Wait have I been confused with Darklite? Not sure who should feel more ashamed on that one . I have it attached to a set of typical 58 pattern belt loops which I cut from a magazine pouch (dusty old thing that cost about £2) then removed the webbing from and slipped onto the tab that runs through the back for securing to the webbing. The pouches then have 58 pattern hooks slipped in between the MOLLE loops and the belt to hold them in place. Can do pics in the gear thread or via PM if that is a bit unclear. Basically it is using a round about method to attach a bigger variety of pouche
  11. Yeah that and me using my gut to hold the webbing so isn't helping . Also I did remember to make sure that gun was Condition One, don't exactly want someone to knock it with it facing down that way . 'FireKnife'
  12. Caught mid-robot dance. This was after spending 30mins as a Medic doing my best not to die of over exercise. Also why do I look fat in every airsoft pic I am in now? 'FireKnife'
  13. Yeah I gather but wondering which would be easier from the get go kind of thing. I am also thinking of doing it with a stubby forgrip on the rail, attaching a sling to the lanyard point and using tension to hold the gun steady than just attaching a stock. Plus it also means I could run the stock so it fits under my suit jacket for indoor games etc. Originally it was planned to be more of a Matrix Reloaded Morpheous thing, with a 19rd (+2 baseplate) looking mag and just burst off rounds from it when needed. 'FireKnife'
  14. Thought this might be the best place to ask. Excluding that stupid looking Roni kit, which is the better carbine kit for a TM Glock 18C GBB in terms of ease of fit etc? I would assume that leaves the HERA and the other one I can't remember the name of but which is the easier to work with as both look fine enough to me. 'FireKnife'
  15. I don't know why but this level of luck / skill made my day:

  16. Damn that does look better without the flash-hider or the extended magazine. Also any chance that you can fit the E2 or standard P226 grips and have that beavertail and emblem vanish? 'FireKnife'
  17. Ok, so I mention 'Danger Zone' and it starts playing yesterday and now I can hear A View to Kill playing after having watched that mediocre film this Sunday just gone. What the smeg?!

    1. scorch

      scorch

      but... but... Walken!

    2. FireKnife

      FireKnife

Yes Walken is a decent villain bit really he could have been in a better film. However he is a lot better than some other villains that weren't even good enough to be bad cliches.

FK, are you sure you are not the secret spawn of any particular 007 actor?

  18. No, the gas pressure sent to propel the bb is still sent down the chamber, it just has nothing to push against so it is more or less (maybe one of those 1-2% differences) the same. Either way as RSM points out this is the closest we have so far to a Marui USP and given that they teased at one of those I am tempted to wait and see how that pans out but again would still at least like to try one of these. 'FireKnife'
  19. To be honest don't most guns bar the TM 1911 get this anyway (as it is stacked to a full 25-28 depending on the magazine)? Either way it is good to know. 'FireKnife'
  20. I have a strong desire to listen to Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins............. Damn it.

    1. scorch

      scorch

      why resist it?

  21. Have people been panic buying the TM VSR G-Spec or something? I can't find a single one in stock UK side?

    1. FireKnife

      FireKnife

Great, of all the places to have it, it is the one that doesn't accept my defence as a skirmisher. *rickroll*.

    2. Habakure

      Habakure

Man that's harsh. Could you get a site owner to ring up for you?

    3. FireKnife

      FireKnife

Nope. However given that in a week I will have regular sites to go to I shall have one soon enough.

  22. See I have found quite the opposite, though for the most part my screwed together mags are 1911s and never let me done. Plus it means on the very rare occasion that one does start to leak all I do is unscrew, lube up the seals and it is good to go again. With a pinned mag that would take me ten times as long finding all the bits and sorting it out. Again though, that is mostly as I have never had an issue with them, even all the P226 ones I have had never split of showed signs of giving. I still might pick this up at some point though saying that. 'FireKnife'
  23. Thank you, hmm that changes it a bit for me but still might give one a shot. As for the other TM models it is a little different to the HK45 but the only Marui models that I recall without such reinforcement of the slide catch area are the Desert Eagle (not that it needs it with that mass of plastic) and the older M9s. Well that works for me, so long as it can be easily cared cocked and locked then all the better (wish someone would make a Taurus PT92 now, cocked and locked Beretta clone with a frame safety, yes please). 'FireKnife'
  24. This has been the fashion since the P226 / Hi-Capa / 1911 / Glock models onwards. The 1911 one I have never noticed any issue with bar the one I keep slap loading but then that is me treating it very, very rough so as to be expected. Also can anyone answer the question I posted in the news thread: Is this a pinned or screwed type magazine? Finally does the single action part of the thumb safety work well for cocked and locked carry? With the KWA and KSC models this can be over-ridden with a hard pull. 'FireKnife'
  25. Needs more tartan or at least plaid . All these pictures make me wish I had moved now and was actually near enough to proper airsoft sites . 'FireKnife'
