  1. Maybe MoH: Warfighter had it right? http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/629073-medal-of-honor-warfighter-playstation-3-screenshot-pinned.jpg Except they look to have got them backwards 'FireKnife'
  2. Maybe it is built to last like some Marui's for green? I mean it does seem to have utilised the body as being metal and then wrapping it in plastic. Just the lack of buffers commonly found in the 1911 etc puts the fear in me a bit that it is going to go all wrong unless I stick to 144a and Ultra. But then I am paranoid about pistols breaking on me, which is rather odd as aside from an old WE or two and those cheap KWC Pythons none never have. 'FireKnife'
  3. Do you mean as in the front sight and back sight are exactly the same? I kinda see what they mean from this angle, it does look like two rear sights instead of a front and back. Could be a new method I know nothing of? 'FireKnife'
  4. Got to love Parcel Farce haven't you. Went into my emails, clicked the link to the Track and Trace page, item still at original depot. Copied the reference number, opened a new window, plonked it on a new instance of the same page and it tells me that it left the Edinburgh depot about 2hrs ago now. Why do they fail so hard? :D

  5. Been having a little recoil test with my one. Found that if left in a typical warm room then the magazine is warm enough that 144a gives a nice enough recoil but it feels that if I leave it outside for a touch with no wind (the kind of slightly lower temperatures you would get in an indoor site) it seems to prefer being on Ultra. Now to just remember this for the next couple of games with it . 'FireKnife'
  6. Wait, why was there wet white paint on your site? Though good to see you out and about with that M4 and whatever pistol you took, in game is where you really realise just how badly made something can be . 'FireKnife'
  7. Thanks, it was nice and smooth with no complaints. Just as said wish I didn't have to sell it on but needs must . 'FireKnife'
  8. Well took it in, was whisked away and came back with a new (well from a spares gun) safety lever that is fully functioning. Still due to buying too many bigger guns this pistol still has to go back up for sale . 'FireKnife'
  9. I must admit given how bloody awful they used to be it is refreshing to see they are at least trying to change that negative name. Saying that though I could have sworn they had a big management shake up a short while ago, might be wrong but all the faces I see in the shop now I never saw 3-4 years ago. 'FireKnife'
  10. Nope, if it is a PPK/S it has a PP base frame as it has the 7 rounds of .380 / 9mm Short capacity that the PP has. The PPK frame has one less round and features grips that wrap around, similar to the P226, unlike the PP which are panels like a 1911. The beavertail is on all PPK and PPK/S models which are all now made in the US by S&W. The PPK/E is the ones you get from Germany and are cheaper than a more traditional PPK. Also little odd trinket. The S in PPK/S stands for 'Sport' which is a bit of an in-joke seeing as how the GCA of 1968 regarded 'sporting' pistols and in order
  11. Well for me it is all of a 4 mile drive so they are hardly likely to kick up a fuss when I am stood there next to them. Plus I am at least polite about these things, unlike others who just assume they are always right (only exception for me is RM but that is down to constant issues and changes of mind when they feel like it while considering a month to be acceptable amount of time to mount a reply). 'FireKnife'
  12. I shall check tomorrow if I have time . 'FireKnife'
  13. I must admit my M&P ones are in a generic pouch rather than anything specific and they seem happy enough. Though I also had a chance to fire this last night. Lets the mags warm up a bit to typical 20-21C room temp and then fired them on 144a. The kick is still quite good, better than the Glock and pretty damn close to my 1911s which are always on Ultra. Seems though that the heat does affect it a bit kick wise as when the mags got colder the kick just went a bit, not much but noticeable. 'FireKnife'
  14. Well he review by aznriptide859 on page two shows the mags side by side and they look the same. Plus it appears that the 6900 Fobus mag holster fits most double stack 9mm mags that aren't Glock and HK which are the more staggered and thinner design. But that is based on about 5-6 image comparisons and while it says RS M&P mags will fit in the 6900 which is the one that works for the Px4 too I can't say 100% for sure, only about 95% sure . 'FireKnife'
  15. I have sent Ryaw a short PM about trying the M&P. As for the comparison I would say the kick on the M&P9 is not weaker but due to the designs of the two guns, high beavertailed striker over a hammer fired gun with a bigger back end, the M&P9 is easier to control. I have put the M&P9 below the P226 E2 as the ergonomics of the E2 felt better to me. When a gun is near enough equal to another in terms of performance my list then changes to personal little things to seperate them apart from each other. The E2 just fit me a touch better and I like little things about it but o
  16. I think the only time I have opted for a watch is either when airsofting or out doing other activities as it is easier. When on a typical day at work or home I just use my phone as it is automatically corrected to GMT anyway. Still with a suit a nice poliched metal watch can be nice. 'FireKnife'
  17. I would like a pocketwatch. However I do recall seeing reinforced ones with weights and tougher skins to them which could allow them to be used as a weapon should you ever be accosted by two ruffians outside The Lamb and Flag. Now that would be useful, tell them time and knock out some undesireables like a true gentleman. Now I have a feeling I am going to want a pocket watch after this. 'FireKnife'
  18. Easily but that is still not a PPK frame. Also the 1mm difference is more likely pre and post WW2 PPKs in general. The pre WW2 one has the uglier nose while the post is the more common one we see and know of with the PPK/S having the sleeker front end. This is a PPK frame, note the way the grips wrap the back of it: http://cdn1.waltherarms.com/wp-content/uploads/ppk-specs-slider.jpg I still wish a proper PPK was made but maybe Maruzen had their design reasons for the PPK/S over the PPK? EDIT: Oddly enough while searching for 'PPK Grips' that exact picture came up with the forum it
  19. It's a PPK/S. The PPK has grips that wrap around the back of the frame and leave a large gap when removed. Still I see what you mean dimensions wise, it looks shorter. Maybe it is the flush fit magazine? 'FireKnife'
  20. Well so much for it being so great. The decocking lever is now a nub, with the lever having sheared off. Not good given that it has hardly seen heavy use as a decocker. Aside from this the gun still works, it just means that the hammer has to be dropped by way of the trigger rather than via the safety. Will pop by Airsoft World with it tomorrow and see what they say about it. The sales and shop may have improved somewhat but lets test the customer support. 'FireKnife'
  21. Who said it was 'disassembled'? By the sounds of it the third party has inspected it to see it has been used but if the parts are visible through an external inspection then you can't refuse something for that. 'FireKnife'
  22. BaBaBooey has a good point, if you can try the E2 out, it is a cracker and deal with a few of the inherent issues that the older TM P226 had. However when I say 'issues' I mean things that aren't really issues, but things you might notice. It is not like the slide suddenly flows off and starts eating people or something like that . 'FireKnife'
  23. Just buy it. Like now, as soon as you have seen this post go to your favourite sites that sell airsoft pistols and buy one. Now. Go on, we will wait. 'FireKnife'
  24. Nope. They are about as gas efficient as any other Marui from out of the box. The magazines may split under highter pressure if you are a bit daft and threaded the long screw that runs through the magazine but other than that they are fine enough. As for the holster I know it fits a Fobus and have seen one fit a SERPA without issue but the Fobus can be a tough loose (then again they are loose on my 1911s too say maybe it is a Fobus design?). 'FireKnife'
  25. Ok, so does anyone know a good place to sell RIFs in a more local fashion or am I stuck with forums and FaceBook? Please don't tell me I am stuck with the likes of FaceBook :(

Not that I know of, haven't seen any bar simply just bringing the gun along but that means getting lucky with someone happen to having the desire to buy the gun on site.

I am just after selling some pistols before I pick up a couple more, just want the cash before I buy something else.

You'd be surprised how many people will impulse buy kit at a game. :) I've done it a few time.
