    It looks like they are quite different and won't fit. Also, not sure if it is me or not, but the RS version of the safety lever look hinged at the base of the lever while the TM ones have the rest of the metal lever inside that goes to a point further back meaning they move shift up rather than rotate. Still I am surprised we haven't already had the likes of Guarder or someone offering frames that are pre-made for non-safety options in the typcial black/tan/green options. 'FireKnife'

    Well the only thing is some pics show it having quite a gap between the frame and the actual lever. Maybe it is just as the pics are up close or the slide is slightly wider than the frame and that is to accomodate but it looks a bit naff to me. Either way still can't wait, gives me a striker fired gun with a good potential thumb rest (never got on with the Glock add-on ones). 'FireKnife'

    I don't think that would affect the TM magic, that is in the hop . Though I might find I am used to having the safety levers myself as I do ride the thumb safety on my 1911s and the M&P one looks just right to rest the tip of my thumb on (on a 1911 it is more the lower scetion of my thumb that sits on the safety). Tomorrow I should have mine to find out and if I like the safties then they stay, if not then I will remove them and put up some pics as I go. 'FireKnife'

    Shouldered an ICS L85 earlier today while getting my UKARA done. How the hell does anyone find that thing comfortable, I mean seriously.

    Ok, so I managed to both field it and hit someone with it. The range on the fixed hop and .25s with 144a was about 3/4 the range of my tightbore'd up TM Series 70 so I would not call it bad at all. Though the day was rather mild, say around 13-16C and it performed well in the short game that I ran just it. Emptied the entire magazine in one fill and without issue. It is a competent little shooter and one I would gladly have as a back up for dashing into small rooms. Too bad that the IWB gets in the way when I have it at my back meaning I plan on carrying it at my side as a one hand

    Cock-flap. Ah well I will just have to look at getting a tool for pin punching then . I always have a single magazine that never seem to survive the winter. Odd as I always try and keep a good ambient temperature in my flat so not sure why I always get at least one fail. But with a screw mag it is just un-screw, lube up or replace o-rin at base of mag and away. 'FireKnife'

    Ok, stupid quick question time to anyone that owns one of these. What are we looking at under the baseplate of the magazine? It is a long screw holding the mag together on these like a 1911 / SIG / Glock or a set of pins like the older M9 design? After getting one but screw magazines I find easier to work on. 'FireKnife'

    But where in the US are you? Average UK temps can vary in winter and I have seen many, many full metal pistols fail to keep up, even on CO2. Hell even some light slide plastic pistols like the TM Detonics struggle sometimes over here. Using Green you should be fine for most of the year if not all of it. If you plan to use it either indoors or as a holster filler that gets the odd shot off here and there then that should be fine but I wouldn't go trying to run it in 0 degrees outdoors as a primary.     If you want to go Serpa and ol' slabside (1911) then you will need a more standard model. Saying that can't fault the 4.3 Hi-Capa at all. 'FireKnife'

    Mmmm, Tacos........... But yes your best bet would either be custom made or even as if you can get the frame swapped out for a non-railed one? TM frames can be had rather cheaply and so long as you are careful you can swap the frame yourself. Removes the ugly holes left by the rail. That or just go for a MEU or Series 70 then you don't have to worry about the rail, can get holsters for it from most places and if you want a light you can get the VFC1911 one and holsters for that too, given it is a 310 Surefire clone.     Because it is made in Japan, for Japanese people. The pictures should show you how it works anyway? Well as they are made for real world guns and the 4.3 Desert Warrior is just something TM made up it shouldn't be that much of a surprise that the 4.3 doesn't fit. You are probably better either picking a different gun if you need a plastic holster or taking the rail off if it. Either that or a typical cloth one that is adjustable, they work. 'FireKnife'

    Erm, then just get the 4.3 Desert Warrior by TM. It fits what you are asking for, unless you have to have metal (you don't). It will work with Green, the 1911 design is one of the strongest Marui designs and so long as you keep it clean and lubed while using the right gas (tip: Ultra is good if you have the cash) it will crack along like a champ and empty the thin 28rd mag no issue. As for where you will get one well that shouldn't be too hard, try Fire Support? 'FireKnife'

    I would say the finish is about as good as a TM MEU / Detonics / SIG P226 E2 / XDM. It is functional but not quite the amazing blued Series 70 or parkerised A1 look. Also stock wise Airsoft World have them in at the moment, plus they are lead by a new bunch that don't seem as bad as the old lot (as in your stuff will actually turn up ). And it has stopped double feeding after a clean and re-lube (well at least for now). It actually looked like it was the over lubed slide that was causing it. Still got an amazing OOTB single action trigger and a surprisingly smooth double action. 'F

    Not really. The metal one just uses a special finish and a silver barrel but beyond that it is really down to 'do you want to pay more for the non-black look?' And to report it fits the generic IWB holster I picked up for it fine enough. It is easy to conceal in the SOB position and the magazines still flawlessly get off all 22 shots in one fill. Not like I have been dressing up and practicing drawing with it from various stances or anything 'FireKnife'

    Based on what I have seen it looks more like the 'latest' version but I am partly judging that by the fact that the manual references '2011' and that I haven't seen this particular looking model before about 2012. Either way it is a good performer. Only seems to double feed on the second to last and last round (so feeds both those at the same time for a single double feed). Also it helped get rid of a wasp in my flat, only one I have seen in there all summer. First shot missed, second shot split the body and head, stupid useless wasps. 'FireKnife'

    Huh, firing it on 144a is actually doing pretty damn well. Not sure which models of PPK/S you have owned but this is meant to be the 'new' one where Maruzen have made a few changes to the setup. However for now I am going to stick to 144a as the longevity feels there on this one (so much more so than the rather average older Movie Prop guns). It just feels a vast improvement over the rather imperfect older models. As said though I plan to use it at sub 15m ranges and indoors so the lighter shots (kicks out about 220-225 on 144a) and fixed hop are not an issue as it has enough to carry

    Well I think my PPK/S can hear my thoughts. Went to test the double feeds again. Did it once when I did a sloppy slide release but after that I shoot through magazines at various speeds (including a dump of 14 shots after I had barely even given it two seconds of gas from empty) and bloody nothing. Feeds perfectly, every last shot. I think the issues comes from storing it with the mag follower in the 'prop firing' position so yeah must remember to avoid that. Either way it has still to be skirmished. I would ideally like to see just how far and well it shoots down a nice long corri

    #AWOOGA# #AWOOGA# Hot off the press info. After some (extensive) testing I have come to the following conclusions. 1. It fires amazingly well for such a small gun (bar one small defect mentioned below). 2. Accuracy is not perfect, if it had a 5 inch tightbore barrel, but it doesn't, it has a 3 and a bit inch 6.05mm and is fine. 3. It can double feed once on the last 3-4 shots. It happens about the time the follower passes the little cutout for dryfiring as a prop. This only happens about 33% of the time and often when firing faster than one round every half second.
