  1. My last two Western Arms 1911s:
  2. I had one for a few. While the temp was supposed to be 70 degrees, it was overcast and cold outside. Chrono Results: Toytec .20, Green Gas, 70 degrees indoors. XCortech Chrono. 1 - 285.9 2 - 285.8 3 - 281.9 4 - 281.3 5 - 282.3 6 - 280.0 7 - 280.6 8 - 281.5 9 - 282.4 10 - 280.6 Avg - 282.23 I bet numbers would normally be around 300. You can check out the rest of my opinion here.
  3. Since everyone said all black, here it is all black (yeah, you were right):
  4. Yeah, I do live in a nicer place.....ha! The grips were from VZ and were Canvas Micarta so halfway between the lightest and G10.
  5. I will probably continue to sit in my very soft chair...and shoot. yeah, I need to shoot a Postal, but I get lazy and hate having someone time me. I should just stump up and buy a Madbull timer. The straight frame is closer to a 1911 in feel, so I like it more. The large hump on a stock grip makes it uncomfortable for me.
  6. Back from some tuning work at Chairsoft Custom Works East (Junior):
  7. How about this, not silver but different grips:
  8. Utty - That does look amazing. I actually would suggest a Tanio Koba grip, but it looks odd if you run 5.1 mags.
  9. To me it shoots OK. Nothing really special. I know Snowman loved the trigger feel, but mine doesn't feel that good. I am spoiled by having almost all of my personal guns upgraded. One thing is the stock recoil spring is way too weak. Had to swap to the Carom Shot one right away for the loading nozzle to clear the feed lips. Bit of a drag, but usual for a KSC gun with a metal slide.
  10. KSC M945 w/ Metal Slide.
  11. SIIS 10" DE (ignore the nasty orange, can't seem to get rid of it all)
  12. UNCo carries the SD versions, but mine came from Guns N Guys. They are by Altamont and are probably exactly the same thing as you would get from Springfield, but yes more expensive. I know more than one person that has bought them from SA directly.
  13. I have found that if you leave Marui mags alone for an extended period of time, the screw that holds the two halves of the mag together loosens. Almost every leaky Marui mag I have fixed has been that base screw. Go figure.
  14. Absolutely true Rom, always true. The new Guarder Hi Flows worked in my G26. Added some kick and some power. I would get that PDI piston, I bet that helps the kick more than anything.
  15. Ask and you shall receive: And they finally got the full trademark right, no more SigAMPS: Sunny pics tomorrow hopefully.
  16. You don't need to modify anything to start competing man, you just need to practice. Most short stroke kits are easy to swap in and out. It is basically just like swapping recoil springs. The only one that is "more" difficult would be the Nine Ball unit, which also requires you to replace the guide rod.
  17. The hammer is a PDI NeXT hammer, so it is more an oversized ring hammer. The thing shoots over 4XX with .25s, so purism aside, there is a reason for it...
  18. The easiest way is to use a TM Hi Capa housing. There are a few things that won't look perfect without more work (such as making it completely flat on the bottom) but you can easily fit a Hi Capa MSH to a TM 1911. Finally resurrected my Delta Comp gun. No longer a 10mm, but at least I got the comp unit back on.
  19. Not really. It feels really good actually.
