Even bigger shame if the frame winds up getting ruined... Send it to me. I'll bead blast the entire thing for you. CNC Aluminum has a very nice finish when blasted. Closest to (RS) stainless look. EDIT: Hammer has to be down and safety has to be up in order for it to come out. Did you try that?

At least take the internals out while your doing that! May I ask, why your sanding the lower frame to begin with?

Thanks. The Target box is made out of 22g sheet metal. I made a complete box then cut a 8" x 10.5" opening to shoot into. The inside is covered with a 1" thick armaflex insulation pad and since the insulation is so dense, it just sucks up the BB's. The cover is easily removable so when the pad gets filled up I can open it up and shake it out....

Which RS recoil spring did you use? You should take a picture of it firing. I wanna see that smokecap in action...

No they wont fit. I had a set of Ultra Raptor II grips on there from when I first bought the kit off of Slug Pellets. Those were purdy!

LOL, yea I am quite cheap. It's a good winter/rainy day/boredom project that I cant seem to finish. No extended inner in it yet. I want to change the stippled frame back to stock. I like the finger grooves. They fit my hand nicely and they seem to naturally keep the barrel level when I bring the gun up to eye level. Theres a couple other things I want to do too, like minor tweaks.

Not really heavy at all. very well balanced with the mag in.

Yep, I did the same. Pain in the *albartroth*, but worked pretty well. Overall for the price, the TK set isn't bad at all. Compared to what you would spend if you got all Nova parts. I'm really liking these last 2 TM 1911's pictured. They both offer something unique to the table we haven't really seen before.

Good to hear man. I had the tough choice in deciding whether to modify a $250+ metal body kit or a $75 part. I chose the cheaper one of the 2 . I'm curious to see what other people did in that situation. @ FAL Thats just awesome man. What lower is that? With the glare in the picture it looks like the frame and slide are slightly but still noticeably different finishes? In person is it the same way or is it less noticeable?

How come you used the TK controls instead of the MEU ones? Fitment issue or aesthetics? So what did you wind up doing for the TK grip safety to fit properly? Did you modify the grip safety, or cut the frame bar? I really do love those grips man. Very nice.

What happened to all the other damn metal bodies that were supposedly coming out? So far the G&P ones have much to be desired, and the Prime and 2roy... well their just ridiculously priced. I think since the G&P ones may not be moving, they are hesitant on releasing more. Shame that they decided to release ones with such crappy trademarks first.

Very nice kuyadlo. I think a regular front sight tower would go better with the MRF-CX then the flip up sight, but it still came out sweet.
