these guns really make me mad at EBB for sucking so bad.

That being said, i think that you overplayed it and kind of came off as a know it all, especially with the exclamation points and stuff. kind of overdramatic. and you definitely arent helping your case with the rolling eyes smiley. unecessary. lets all be friends and get back on topic. ill be posting pics of my finished gun after i finally get my order from EBB. if ever.

luis, if you think about it, a lot of AEG chambers also have spring tension. it is like that for a reason and snoopy, i think that he did contribute to the thread by warning to those who store their gun on safe like an AEG. I think you took it personally and i don't think its intent was malicious.

I decided to try the Airsoft Surgeon Professional Recoil set w/ 140% recoil spring. Even on green gas, the 140% recoil spring is far too strong. ROF is slow and the nozzle is literally throwing bbs down the barrel upon returning into battery. It only gets about 10 rounds off before the gun doesn't cycle far enough to feed anymore. However, using the aluminum recoil buffer with the stock spring does increase felt recoil and doesn't really slow the ROF noticeably.

would you like to elaborate on the issues you faced?

be careful. my mag actually developed leaks after i had to take it apart because one of the o-rings became unseated.
  8. Wait. Isn't that exactly whats expected when a person wants information on a forum? Plow and search through all the existing information before posting a new question? And personally, if i just got an AGM especially, id read every page. I would want to know the in and outs of such a new system, as every end user should.
  9. Honestly the general search function on this site is horrible. I like being able to do the daily AGM reads about anything and everything AGM. It creates an open environment for people to share the things they learn all in one place without necessarily starting a new topic. plus, the 'search topic' function works pretty well.

the only time mine has ever leaked at all was from the mag o-ring at the base of the valve assembly, near the roll pin. i lubed the o-ring, and keep gas in the mag. the positive pressure keeps it from leaking.

have you seen the hop? what did you expect?
  12. I dunno.. i think the total i've spent on one gun is more like around $800.. there is nothing really left to buy once you get to that point. expect a RS optic maybe. unless its a PTW, which may be worth the extra $400 just for the sake of reliability. but then you get to be pushing $2k with RS RIS, stocks, VFGs, rail covers, optics, etc.. PTWs change the game a lot. plus the cylinders and mags.. so i dont know. just not worth it with how quickly i can get the box out and fix stuff. you can strip a piston and be slapping mags back in before 20min, granted you prep it before hand for instal

haha. not exactly, the end products are going to be quite different. edit: mine is going to keep its KAC SR-16 M4 roots, but with a nice little twist.

Pedlar: i like the CASV in general, but i dont like the ACOG. it seems out of place to me. falconfour: i dont like that you stole some of my parts

im talking RS bolt. which is what the guy was looking for im assuming since that's whats breaking. 2roy cylinder: RA-tech nozzle: AR-15 bolt so i was calling those parts the bolt.

RA tech's 'nozzles' are actually bolts. so they make the aluminum NPAS and PPS. $130-$140.. id rather go with replacing $20 nozzles like AEG pistons if i could find one that would last 20k rounds. but then again im not planning to skirmish mine either, so it wouldn't be worth it.

ouch.. and i was just bragging about the AGM parts in the WE vs. WA thread.. haha

yep. all custom engraved. the body doesn't engrave well and was a headache to get right, so i wouldn't suggest it unless you have a really nice engraver. the SR-16 m4 was 10 passes on 100% power (they usually do one pass on reduced power) the VLTOR sword was 5 passes on 100% And i think he used a more expensive method for the 'Stoner Rifle/KAC logo/Cal 5.56/serial #', but i didn't talk to the guy that did it. he didnt charge me for it if he did. its a headache, but i think it turned out well. worth $45 for sure. edit: btw, i wanted to go for a happy medium between R

cost.. $45 total. fit.. perfect. detail.. not perfect by any stretch, but good enough for me. location.. local laser engraving shop. the KAC logos on the lower go on tomorrow. its been a headache.

Luis, Are you sure you didn't have the adjuster ring on wrong? when you do, you don't get any hop, but when its on correctly (the 'thinner' side of the little 'tabs') it appears to operate just like my AEG hops, and i can see the difference just looking into the hop.

I finally got into my hop yesterday. The issue i believe is that the nozzle coming forward pushes the bb too far into the hop. the hop rubber isn't shaped to handle this. It may or may not help to shave down the nozzle, but i'll have to wait till i get all of my parts back to see what is possible to do. I don't want to fix this problem but lose the seal. Monday ill be able to take some measurements, do some fitting, and get down to business on this. edit: btw, a small square of electrical tape on top of that spring works wonders. just make sure that there's no grease under it or it w

hey, when you go to shim the mag follower spring, don't be like me guys. don't struggle for what seems like forever, then just pop off the feed lip and slide it down there in 5 seconds . 2x 2mm hex screws. use them. edit: sneak peak pics of the VLTOR/KAC reciever tomorrow. then ill be withholding pics till its done.
