  1. The setting looks like 'Downpour' on COD 4
  2. I would like to continue the back slapping if I may? The mods here at Arnies do a great job and play a very important part in making Arnies such a great forum. Sure, sometimes members may disagree with some decisions but I find the mods will always listen to other points of view and will explain their decisions if questioned. In short they are fair and honest and we as members cant ask for anymore than that. The standard and content of this forum is extremely high and it is a credit to both the mods and the members of Arnies. Group hug everyone?
  3. Where did you buy your Surefire j3T?
  4. Brilliant as always my friend! Im gathering up some photos as reference for my first paint job, do you mind if I add those pictures to the collection? Thanks.
  5. Hi Tom, Good to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well. Im still lovin' the jacket by the way! I have actually found a few pictures recently to support what you are saying. There was one picture in particular on Military Photos of a soldier with a seriously worn m4 with what looks like a brand new ACOG! Im sure these guys change there optics quite regularly. Thanks for your opinion Tom. Take care, Chris
  6. I really appreciate your opinion dude. In regards to the look im going for you are correct in suggesting im going for a Seals weapon impression. Obviously a Seal wouldnt care about the trades but to be honest the only real reason that I purchased that particular Aimpoint and mount were for the trades so I am slightly reluctant to paint them. The trades on the Aimpoint are very crisp and clear but they are not accurate as they are white. However everything you said makes sense and I am being stupid, I will take your advice. Thanks fella!
  7. So im planning my first paint job to be performed on my m4 and I am going for the desert camo look but I have a question regarding the rifle accessories. I recently purchased an Aimpoint replica with trades and a replica Wilcox mount with trades from Airsoft Global but im not to sure if I want to paint over the markings (yes, I am a trades slut!) Will the rifle look stupid without these painted? I was thinking that perhaps a sand coloured rubber Aimpoint cover might improve the look. Maybe I could buy a cheap ACOG and have that painted instead. I also have a VFC PEQ 2 on its way (which I
  8. No doubt a stupid question for all you weapon painting experts but when you see Special Forces etc with painted weapons who actually paints them? Is it the armourer or does the owner paint it themselves? Not really important but I was just curious.
  9. I have found the KSC to be very accurate. Once I adjusted the hop up I was actually really suprised how accurate it was. It definitely packs a punch but as I have not used it extensively I cant really comment on reliability but I have no reason to doubt that it wont last as long as any other decent GBB that is well looked after. As I have said before, it is a real shame that KSC have not supported this pistol more in the way of spares. If they did I am sure there would be a bigger uptake which would result in aftermarket manufacturers taking notice and then TM would have a bit of a fig
  10. Nail polish remover works perfectly. I used it to uncover the Wilcox trades on my G&P Aimpoint mount. It doesnt damage the trades.
  11. Its been said before but it depends what you want the pistol for - skirmishing or collecting/plinking? A stock or full metal TM would be be best for skirmishing and KSC for collecting/plinking. To be honest though that doesnt mean the KSC is going to implode in your hand the moment you take it onto the field! I wouldnt have any problems taking the KSC skirmishing performance wise but its more the lack of spare parts and upgrades that would worry me. Im still really happy with my KSC. I eventually got around to adjusting the hop-up correctly and its very accurate now, packs a good punch a
  12. Thank you for that. I will look forward to trying it tomorrow.
  13. Thanks Guinness! (thank you for your help with the grips also) I really need to get a new camera, those pictures were taken on a camera phone im afraid. Big Al, Whatever it costs at Midway UK they charge £8 for postage I was about to buy 4 grip screws @ £6 and postage was £8, bugger that. I sent them an email to see if they would reduce the postage for such a small item and they didnt get back to me...I guess that will be a no then
  14. I doubt it! If he did, it would probably explode in his hand and leave him with a face full of soot with his hair standing on end and shocked look on his face...KABOOM!
  15. I think all those bits will be snapped up pretty fast!!
  16. Sherlock, Just for your own future reference, you can email Guns 'n Guys and ask to make payment via Paypal instead of wiring the money. I didnt know this myself until quite recently (it came up in a discussion on this forum)
  17. Souske, I must say I like your style. Airsoft Global Aimpoint??
  18. The new grips improve the pistol massively Krame, well done. Nice, clean and simple
