Mmm...interesting. The plastic used in my WA Beretta feels much tougher than my Glock frame but the Beretta frame has 4 marks (2 on each side) where the light grips the frame. I haven't tried it on another pistol though (I don't want to end up with 2 marked pistols!)

Good idea man Please keep us updated on how this works out and if it results in any problems? It sounds great though! You mentioned over at GGI that it results in recoil on par with a real AR-15 I'd love to try this mod out.

Sweet junior! Very clean and simple, I really like them mate. Has your Streamlight marked the frame of your Glock? I have my TLR fitted to a WA Beretta M9A1 and it has kinda dented the frame where it grips. Not a big deal as I bought the light purely to use on that specific pistol but I was just curious really, if I had known I probably would have tried some kind of spacer between the frame and light.

IBICO has told me that he removed both the 'spikey end' and the other end too as this was required in order for the mod to work correctly. From your post I got the impression you only removed the 'spikey end' Is that correct mate?

Glad you finally got your hands on one dude! The problem with loose airsoft optics has been reported previously. I cant think of another solution other than what you have already tried. But if it works it works!

@slu. So as an airsofter you have never sought, used or purchased a part or accessory that is a replica of a RS part? In regards to your query about the WE M4 that was being sold with the Mk.18 RIS installed, no this version was modified and did not use a RS or replica nut.

WETTI, I PM'd Kai so hopefully we will have a answer soon. If a US member is willing I would pay for the correct DD barrel nut which could be sent to you WETTI then you could pass it to TS? To be honest I don't know which particular RS DD barrel nut is required to installed the replica Mk.18 rails to the WE. I do know that a member on this forum (Kai Wolf) purchased the nut required direct from DD so I will PM him and ask if he will help out. Alternatively if anyone is reading this knows Kai perhaps you could ask him too?

What more can I ask mate What with the DD Mk.18 rail being issued as part of the SOPMOD Block 2 kit the DD rail is and will become very popular with airsofters so I think a replica DD Mk.18 barrel nut would become a great seller. The issue with the barrel nut and the replica rail is discussed regularly on many of the forums I visit and is a genuine concern with many people in the various communities.
