Sure, I can give some basic specs: -Made from 6061-T6 domestically sourced (Alcoa) barstock. We will go to 7075 if our long term tests show unsuitable wear. (We consider 50,000 rounds long term). -Type III Hard coat black anodize. Wear marks/lines should be greatly reducer over the stock painted carriers. -Optimized geometry in high wear areas to minimize distortion/wear/collisions common on the stock design. -Uses Cradle Airsoft Piston and Velocity reducer. Stock V1 or V2 floating valve may be used but stock piston is NOT compatible. -Comes with our new nylon reinforced band. -Carr

Im not aware if KJW is selling V1 bolts anymore. However, I do know that testing of our new BCG which is akin to the v1 TK design is going very well. Ill post some pictures and video of prototype #2 within the week. If our suppliers pull through on a few of the small parts (custom springs, pins, etc) we should be on target for 30-45 day release.

We use flat rate shipping so anything under I think 30 lbs is the same price. Yes, it will be compatible.

I'd love to. Problem is I don't make a penny on shipping. The prices on the website are my prices from USPS. UPS charges you guys insane brokerage fees so that's out. The only other option is for me to ship things in different packaging, hand fill out all the info as opposed to their online tools and then I'd have to lie every shipment and say they're not commercial goods. The first chance we get to ship more cheaply and pass the savings on, we will. Edit: Looks like I lose 1.75 on every Canada shipment, actually.

I haven't seen one wear quite this quickly before. I had a brand new gun in last week for some mods. Seemed to me like it was wearing faster than I expected. We got a few mags through I to test all the mods and the carrier was wearing in the bolt catch area as well. I had to do some filing to get off a sharp edge or two that I thought might cause potential issues. I really wish KJW hadn't ditched the proven and mature TK design for the carriers. Our new carriers are a throwback to the original design and should be even more bulletproof than the originals.

Ill have loads of info this week I believe. I thought we would be done with the first articles by now but we had a rush aerospace job come in last week that tied us and the machines up full time.

For the x-ring piston. I just grabbed an assortment when you asked for spares. It's impossible to keep track of what customers have what parts from previous orders so I just err on the side of caution.

Jackster, Quick fix for your low FPS issue. Use the thin O-ring from the stock floating valve instead of the thicker one we include. Allows higher flow for v2 bolts and gives you more adjustment range. You'd be better off removing the auto sear rather than cutting it.

Jackster, Having the spare bolt wouldn't ever be a bad idea especially if you wanted to set it up for a lower or higher fps. What is KJW charging for their v2 bolts, anyways? That does lead me to say though that we will have fully assbled piston cups so you can swap out cups for quick FPS changes if you don't want to adjust velocity using the rings on the field.

News Update: We are back to working on our KJW BCGs. I think we should have a production level prototype finished within the next 10 days so keep your eyes peeled. For those who may have missed the talk of these back in March a quick overview: -Turned/milled from Alcoa 7075-T6 bar stock. -Type III Hard Ano - Drops in to V1 and V2 guns - Similar to KJW V1 design so bolt catch reliability is retained - Stainless springs and hardware - Piston and Reducer included Price TBD once I can optimize the machining time and setup fixtures.

This doesn't sound like an FPS problem if you ask me especially given the weight of your rounds. First thing you might consider trying is getting the gun back to stock and see if things change. If you see improvement add in mods one by one and isolate the culprit. If nothing improves you'll know the problem lies elsewhere. My guess is it's directly related to your barrel (is it dead straight?) or hop components. If you need help narrowing down specific hop issues you can always PM me.

Waffelcopter; Are you having the issue with all your magazines? If so, start looking into the sear as suggested. If not, have you checked to make sure you mag valves aren't sticky? Empty your mags and use the tip of a pen to depress the mag valve. Quickly remove the pen and observe the function of the valve; does it snap back instantly or does it seem at all slow. Sometimes this can be hard to determine but try to get a feel for whether or not there might be anything slowing the valves return. Typically this is caused by an oily varnish that builds up in the valves themselves. Easy t

Im still here guys. Just wrapped up in the day-to-day of my other business. But we are still making parts and still doing work for the airsoft crowd. As far as the v2 bolt issues go... we still have our designs for our billet carrier which is based roughly on the v1 design. No doubt it would be a better long term contender than the v2. I have a few more t's to cross before we could consider going into production with them. The biggest one is whether or not KJW will supply us with v1 bolt cups so we can make complete units. Ill try to get an answer soon. Also, I had requests a whi

Ive actually found the plastic uppers to be quite nice in feel and heft. Not quite like the metal uppers but an acceptable substitute if you have an upper completely fail on you. I believe they will sell the plastic uppers to international customers.

If it ain't broke, dont fix it. I dont think the carrier has much friction against the hammer compared to some other GBB rifles Ive played with. Seems to me that if something like this came out its probably just a money grab rather than solving any real problem (at least with the KJW).

Just an update about the reducer compatibility with the V2 bolts. I just dropped one right in with no problem. The new bolts definitely take a lot more work to get apart. And they really copied a lot of the WA design internally which may or may not be a bad thing, I guess time will tell. Ill try to get a video tutorial up on the new procedure in a week or two. We are absolutely beyond swamped with design work right now for a few clients...

I just got my hands on a new bolt but i haven't had time to check for reducer compatibility but at first glance I think it should work. I'll take a close look tomorrow. Weekenny, about the hole location... I center the hole on that front block of the rail both front to back and left to right. Dead center is what you want.

The arm is retained. It is possible to shorten the tube but it won't Br held in by very much. It will stay in place however. I use 6-32 SS set screws about 1/2" long.

While its true that its all drilling/tapping/counterboring along the same axis we actually use a mill for this. The most critical part of the whole operation is getting the hole dead center (we are typically within .002-.003" on center) because of the path of the drill. The hole actually passes through the gas tube recess on the front of the receiver and the ribs that support the gas tube can deflect the drill if not on center. On really tough receivers where the ribs are cast a little off center we use an end mill to flatten off the bottom rib between drilling cycles. Yes, you can do it

Just a reminder to everyone that may want a TDC mod. We are only accepting receivers from customers INSIDE THE USA. This is to avoid customs problems.

Id have a hard time giving the idea a solid "yes" until I get out some measuring equipment and some reference material on the two types of threads involved. It is possible that the coarse threads from the real/WA/WE buffer tubes have a minor diameter greater than that of the major diameter of the small metric threads found on the KJW receiver. Overall I like the idea. Ill get out some tools soon and see what I come up with.

Uppers are about $120 IIRC. You probably wont be able to get your hands on one if you are in the USA. However, PM Raven1 as I think he might have one to sell. Also, I can do the hop mod on the plastic uppers as well if that matters.
