The magazines dont need that sort of maintainance. A drop of two of oil into the gas port every thousand rounds is all that's needed for the valves. I think you may be overthinkinh the BBs. Almost any major brand today sold at airsoft shops is suitable. The list is excruciatingly long. Avoid walmart or non-airsoft stores for BBs. Major US airsoft retailers will have dozens of appropriate choices.

We don't make STANAGS yet. You can't do an HK416 conversion. It requires a different receiver which doesn't exist for the KJW. Stick to the regular superlube for the internals and use 100% pure silicone oil in the propane adapter. Though if you lube your guns internals regularly you don't need to oil your propane. I feel it gets too much junk into the hopup.

From what Ive gathered there are a lot of similarities between the Magna system and the KWA system. Theyve made some mods to comply with ATF requirements. I know two individuals that have handled and shot the KWA first hand. Ill check with them as to the extent of the similarities of the two systems.

Frog, those prices were for the KJ parts. Our WA parts are going to be more expensive as they incorporate the nozzles which are quite complex. The complete RAtech units are around $240 and we will be below that with a much higher quality unit that is a design departure from the WA design where it counts.

Im trying hard to refrain from turning this into a thread about Marui. But Ive gotta say Marui is an airsoft company Ive always had a respect for. Ive owned them and I have always regretted selling them. About the KWA M4 - it might be good it might be terrible. They have a LOT of work to do if they intend to solve the inherent problems of the Magna design which is what they are based on. In any case Ill be extremely surprised if they get it to perform near the KJW. If you think your KJW has problems I wouldn't touch a Magna based rifle with a ten foot pole. Head over to, and register a

Yes. I have a mag tapped for use in the shop. Makes testing easier, cheaper, and a whole lot less smelly.

Samuel, Gotta say, youre reports are very unusual. I dont think we have had many, if any, reports like yours. Sorry to hear it. Let us know how it gets worked out. CO2 has a higher pressure potential. What the gas is regulated too is more important. Green Gas is approximately 110 PSI. CO2 could be as high as 850 but no gun runs that high. Most CO2 mags regulate pressure to 110-130 PSI. That extra 10-20 PSI on a hot day CAN wear down internals faster but ultimately it depends on how the rifle is built. Ive run my KJW off of direct supply air at 135 PSI. The recoil, ROF, and noi

I dont think I have much time right now to commit to any sort of co2 variation on the magazines.

It could be a lot of things. These systems are sometimes more complex than any of us are able to diagnose over a forum. I have looked at a LOT of these guns and talked to people about many more of them. Ive never run into a double feed or jam except about 18 months ago and I believe it was user error from the shooter using the mag as a foregrip and rocking the mag unknowingly between shots. There are a lot of variables. The gas rifles take a bit of getting used to and knowing how they work and how to service them is a must. Ill give you this piece of advice though...choosing a new BB and

The bioshot brand you were using is fine. Almost any brand these days that comes in .25 or .28 weights is going to be high quality enough for you gun. I recommend .28g from the KJW. Others may prefer others but this is a decent weight for most rifles shooting in this FPS range. The speed loader I dont have an opinion on. As for supressors, no. No airsoft supressor really quiets the weapon. Most of the noise is made by the gun cycling and the gas/piston assembly.

This forum needs a disclaimer: "Reading this thread will cause you to buy a KJW M4". It's happened at least half a dozen times now. Glad you got through it, #5. If you need help tracking down a rifle just ask. There are guys on here in every continent who may know the best place to find one.

Samuel, I think for now your best course of action may be to run .25 or .28 BB's and go skirmish with the gun a few times in its stock form. After you've played and gamed with it a bit you'll have a better idea of what it can and cant do and what areas you want to improve. No point in throwing money at a problem that for your style of play and requirements may not be a problem at all.

There are two different laser types out there. CO2 lasers can "engrave" most painted metals. "marking" is typically done with a YaG laser on metals. Its a different wavelength and gives different results. I think the CO2 engaving is more what youre looking for and is more common for a shop like the one you found to have.

Not personally, no. But a google search for "missouri airsoft" brings up many forums dedicated to organizing events in and around Missouri.

Are you looking for trades with depth or just a marking? If you just want a marking you can find a laser marking/engraving shop to do it. Should be easy to find.

The RAtech npas isn't very well made. They break quite quickly as has been documented in this thread several times. Part 9 is optional. Eventually the stock seal will crack and you'll gave to replace it. You can do that seal or the x-ring piston we make. I haven't heard any accounts of people using the red seal so I can't comment. We also do TBBs in 6.01 and 6.03. Has anyone used the RAtech tight bores?

I cant quite tell what Im looking at in your picture but it looks like you are referring to the underside of the charging handle where the guide rod goes through. Yes, this area is thin. Ive seen them exactly like yours, better, and worse. All seemed to work fine. The Top Dead Center mod (TDC for short) was described 5-6 pages back but in a nutshell its a way to make the hop more consistent and more adjustable. Read details posted by Frogfish on those pages. EDIT: Frog, you beat me to it by sixty seconds. Also, Prodigy's upper was modded tonight. Looking sexy.

There are two pins on the underside of the sight post that key into the barrel. Knock them out with a pin punch and the post will slide right off.

As for the fill valve o-rings. Theyre not necessary per se but yes, you will lose a lot of gas during fills without them. Ive heard ligthter o-rings work. If you can get ahold of Clare you can order parts. Problem is not many people have had luck lately getting in contact with them. We are trying to start stocking spare parts but so far we can't get responses back from KJW.
