  1. If you mean me, thanks. But 2 seconds after I posted the pics, I was on boomarms and saw the new rcp kit for $650. About $400 less than the kit I bought a year and a half ago, and appears to only be missing the grips. :(

  2. LOL

    Thanks again.

If it was real steel you'd get 2 in the the and 1 in the chamber. Same thing with the Serbu super shorty. Really only useful for home defense and drug deals ;)

My airsoft version uses 18 round mags, so I could chop it at the receiver and still have the same shots. It's the old defender 1100 semi auto gbb, not the newer shell fed version.

For anyone not aware, it has 2 interchangeable chambers. One allows 3 bbs per trigger pull, the other shoots 1 bb at a time.

  3. Small, smaller, smallest.

M14 EBR shorty project compared to a full size.

    1st, set for a mini

  4. Nice RCP grips. Their Micarta right?

Homemade modification of WA ser80 officer grips (exactly the same ones seen on the 2 tone in the 2nd pic)

If you look closely, you'll see where I filled in the counterbore that holds the colt medallion (still needs a bit of putty and sanding to blend it in)

    edit:speeeling and Thanks :)

  5. Correct on the matte-ness. The new UC2 is extremely matte. It appears to be lightly sandblasted prior to anodize. This results in leaving a bit of skin on the parts when you handle them.

The fitting went very well. The slide was tight, but the rest went together without needing any filing/fitting. As opposed to the cdp which required a bit of polish for almost every part.

Another nice touch was the grip bushings are threaded for real steel bushings. The R/S Chip McCormick ultra slim grips installed effortlessly.

Also redesigned is the housing that holds the slidestop/saftey detents. Instead of pushing straight on, it now uses a push and slide type affair with slots and wings. Very nice.

On both I used WA ser80 officers. That required a bushing for the safety (the rod is a smaller diameter that the hole in the kit) and slicing a channel in the slide stop so it can catch the slide on an empty mag.

I'll get some better pics in the next couple days. For now you'll have to make do with these:

edit: I forgot, the other mods on both were to shorten the inner barrel, construct a new inner barrel bushing, and fab up new spring guide rods. The ser80 uses the super short rod out of the box.

  6. The kimbers are prime/boomarms kits. Officer frame with short dustcover and micro slide. Both are the same size, the angle of the pic and the color of the guns make them look different.

The WE is actually officer sized, it just looks huge in comparison.
