  1. Not so much a comment on either companies practices but more on the whole 'next day delivery' thing-many online/mail order retailers will have a next day delivery option, buried somewhere in the small print of the terms and conditions will be a note saying that this is next day from point of dispatch, not point of order. Frustrating indeed but not actually breaking any rules/laws.
  2. Cool beans, I understand where you're coming from. I have only a 'working' understanding of insurance and specifically PLI, I'll accede to your experience. As I said above as well, I reckon it's laziness on most site's parts. They will not allow something new in case 'it goes wrong' rather than taking the time to examine the issues. We'll redo the dB tests at 1m too, thanks for the heads up on that. I just wish they could get the 'flash' down a little bit, perhaps by playing around with the placement of the vents?
  3. Speak to Leisuresure then. You seem convinced that I'm lying for some reason, perhaps to justify your purchase? The insurer is providing liability cover within a specific set of boundaries. They are explicit about what risks are covered by them and what are not. Currently the GR20 falls into the latter category. It is an uninsured risk. It is entirely up to the site to make a decision based on that. If they are unhappy to have the albeit slim possibility of a claim on them related to the use of gr20 grenades at their site, they may well decide to mitigate that risk by banning their use.
  4. It's not the availability of the data sheet, it's the insurer taking their own sweet time about approving it. That's the case for us, can't comment on other site's reasons.
  5. The problem in the UK is that if your site is insured by Leisuresure (one of the 'big 2' in airsoft/paintball PLI along with Perkins Slade) then GR20s are not covered by the site's PLI. This is because the insurance co has not seen safety data for them. It should be noted that the site owner of UCAP (my boss!) has attempted to get this sorted, but the insurance company won't move quickly. Until they give the go ahead, if anyone was to make a claim ageanst the site for hearing damage, injury due to being struck etc the site would pick up the bill for court costs etc... not their insurer. This
  6. Was a 20 min job to fit real wood foregrip and stock to mine, just a bit of dremmelling/sanding to do. Makes a difference to the 'heft' too, feels much more like a real shotgun now.
  7. I have both the Element and a genuine Scout. The biggest differences are the 'spreadd' of the light and the pressure switch. The Surefire I have has an LED head. It is very bright, but also very diffuse. For clearing rooms/close range stuff it's great, as it fills the whole room with light. The Element head has a much tighter spot to it and therefore penetrates greater distances. Much better for long range shooting. My 2 are of similar brightness, the Element just seems a bit brighter I think, possibly because of the 'throw' on the light. The genuine pressure switch is a push fit int

with regards to barrel spacers for thick shoulder/thin shoulder issues, I know Shimano Hollowtec 2 bottom bracket spacers (Available from any good cycle shop for a few quid) will fit AEGs, so may well work with these.

As part of the 4 hour milling and filing marathon that was fitting a Daniels Defence Mk18 RIS2 (bought 2nd hand without the correct barrel nut), I replaced my Hop unit with the cheapo Chinese steel one. My stock HOP rubber didn't have the hole others are reporting, but the loss of bbs from the barrel has been cured, not so much by the unit replacement, but I realised that even with the hop fully on, there was hardly any contact with the rubber, much less any actual hop! Explains the poor range of it too. I ended up carving a bit of 16g silicon wire shroud to slip over the 'ears' on the adjustm
