  1. Isn't that how it is on real AK's? Laminated stock and lower handguard and hard wood upper handguard? That's how my LCT is at least, sans stock of course since it's an AKS.
  2. No... As ancorp says it keeps the spring guide for the bolt square with the receiver, and also seems to act as a spacer. Here's how the whole thing goes together.
  3. Is that a MAG midcap? What did you do to it? Looks great!
  4. Got my new LCT AKS74. Please excuse my poor picture taking skills... my camera probably doesn't help either Really is a sexy gun. Doesn't shoot half bad, either! This is my Tokyo Marui based AKM. Ignore the electrical tape on the butt plate.... it's merely a temporary solution. Together AK's really are fairly long... I kept running out of Tigr, as you can see!
  5. Thanks, that's what I figured, just wanted to make sure since the lever is functional unlike on the Marui series. I couldn't imagine it taking up enough space to not allow at least some of the battery through, however with my luck had I not asked I would have put in the 9.6 to find that somehow it couldn't fit. Would an LCT bolt carrier work in a Marui-style AK? Getting tired of the crappy stock one.
  6. How are the internals on the full LCT AK's? If I were to get an AKS (I'm eyeing up the AKS74 ), could I fit a 9.6v under the dust cover and into the handguard, or would I have to stick to and 8.4v due to the way the upper handguard/ gas tube attaches?
  7. Im working on it... don't do much picture posting. EDIT: done.
  8. Nothing special... and essentially stock TM AK (Internally upgraded a bit: PDI 150% spring, metal bushings, reshim. Been running fine on that setup for about 9 months now). Sorry if the pics are a little big. Im gonna convert it into an AKM... just ordered an Element '74 reciever...
