  1. is hoping for a big ruskie game in AZ in the near future

  2. I'm not in this one, but I threw the game. Pic taken by my buddy kiley. We weren't expecting snow... [/
  3. I would never buy the LCT fakelite grip again, very weak. Especially for an RPK
  4. Bottom pic, you pretty much just told us. That and the pistol grips are a dead giveaway.
  5. I got some like that too, just shave em a bit and they're gtg.
  6. Didn't do much crawling last game, so I'll have to get back to you on that. However, when I do crawl....I lay my gun flat on my forearms instead of a ready position......helps me move faster while staying low. As for gear, there is quite a few pouches/lbv/chest rigs that can hold 40-45rd mags.
  7. It's a custom mag a buddy o mine made from 2 star ak47 mags. He used an epoxy to fuse the two halves together, and then added a layer of flat black to remove the shine. A 5ft you can't see a line or anything, and it gives a pretty good metal appearence. I'm having him make me about 4 more for now, the capacity (about 180bbs),the appearence and the fact it feeds flawlessly made this my new favorite mag.
  8. I wish I could get a peice cnc'd, that would be the end all cure. If you manage to get a peice made could you post pics?
  9. This is what keeps happening: When you push your button, it pushes the thin bar with the three protrusions (sorry for being vauge......lets just call it the peice that broke) out. The illustration around the 'peice that broke' is what keeps your stock locked. What happens is the middle protrusion on the 'peice that broke' comes right out because it was riveted poorly. Then what happens is if you turn your gun on the right side.....the peice will come out, your stock wont work, and you have to disassemble your gun to get it out. Here is what it looks like now:
  10. Took apart the gearbox: Apart from 7mm bearing, plastic ball bearing spring guide, and a blue piston head (first one I've seen in a china gun, nothing special about it but the color).....the gearbox is just like any other dboys......with a lot less grease. Here's the peice that will break: And here's what the gun looks like now: More coming
  11. Did some shooting today: Everything is a rough estimate, so don't quote me on accuracy debates...there was a slight breeze and I was using ECHO1 .28's 1 pace= about 3 feet 10 shots at 16 paces= about 48ft 10 shots at 23 1/2 paces= about 70ft My gas block is also canted to the left More coming
  12. So I found the culprit: The black arrow is showing the original peice that was gumming up the stock. See, the two metal nubs (sorry I couldn't be more descriptive) are riveted in place (rather poorly)....for some reason the black arrow peice came out. That was the original problem. Now there is a new problem. The red arrow is pointing to what your push button actually screws into, however, it too is riveted very poorly. If you tighten your stock button too much IT WILL come right off (effectively making your stock latch useless). It can be replaced, and if I baby it....it will hol
  13. Sorry for an ignorant question, but searching hasn't yeilded any results. What hop up rubbers can you use? AEG?
  14. Look in general discussion. Took the gearbox apart today. 7mm bearings with plastic ball bearing spring guide, and a blue polycarb piston head (doesn't look special, just noting it because I've never seen a blue one in a china gun)....other than that everything is just a normal Dboys gearbox...
  15. The pistol grip is already starting to chip and break away, I'll be replaceing this.. The gearbox has metal bushings.....I'll be cracking it open tomorrow for you guys to see... While still using the VFC style L shaped peice to hold the hop up in place, dboys also added a spring... I've figured out the stock problem......I'll give the run down in a lil bit... Tomorrow expect a range/accuracy report and a good look at the gearbox.
  16. Nothing special here... Do I spy an izzy stamp? Why yes, yes I do. Mag catch doesn't fit MAG AKM mags, and barely fits STAR 105rd plastic mags. A BIG negative for me. They've made many models with a better mag catch....why not this one? Oh well, a bit of filing never hurt anyone. Also, you can see the clear hop up. Here's the biggest dissapointment for me....This is how far the stock came undone after I pushed the button and let gravity do the work.....I won't open past this point. It'll have to be fixed. MORE COMING
  17. If I put this in the wrong section, please move it. Thanks. First impression: Everything is packaged well, the gun itself was tucked in so tightly it didn't have room to move at all. Which is a good thing... Dboys was nice enough to include a sling, but this one is different from the dboys slings we all know and hate. This one has steel metal parts, and a fake OTK stamp on it.....I thought it was a nice touch.....but it also gives room for people to try and scam.....so burn this image in your head kids.....when you see a sling like this, with a stamp like this.....know
  18. Why trade the stock for a real one? it's steel either way. Besides the stock will almost cost as much as the cyma...
  19. If you want, I can help you get it. Just PM me
  20. Ha that must have something to do with it. While I'm at it, my meager collection: Not the greatest pics, but it's because they're up for sale
  21. one stick battery lasts me all day, even for nonstop ops starting at 530 and ending at 4-5. Maybe I'm special, or maybe it's because I charge till the very last minute before I leave. I dunno.
