  1. Really good game today - got about 13 rounds in. Using my G3SAS, piston now replaced and it's humming along like it should - later in the day I slapped my silencer on and went sneakabout - racked up about 7 kills in one game by just moving back and forth between three rooms in a building, sniping people outside. Multicam works very well - I had to shoot someone 7 times before he took it because he didn't hear or see where it came from. Alas, the hop-up rubber is very off though - through age and use, I suspect. Still managed to get quite a few kills even with the reduced range.
  2. If anyone has any doubts as to how authentic these are - the PLA took the first batch as training weapons in a large example of State-enforced sharing. Hence why they were delayed so much. They are indeed incredibly impressive pieces of kit. The only thing stopping me from getting one atm is my bank balance.
  3. Seriously people, it's as easy as: 1) Paint gun. 2) Dry paint. 3) Tie cord to front sight and other end to belt, then run around in circles proclaiming the dark lord is nigh on a large patch of gravel or concrete.
  4. We have a hi-ves fluro vest with reflective strips (usually used for road workers) which cost about $30HKD. WE give it to whoever is taking the photos - they don't play, just wander around taking pics etc. Works well. Any particular reason why you have two accounts?
  5. Nice pic, but why the scope mount without a scope, if you don't mind me asking?
  6. I'm half asian, born in Hong Kong and have lived here for most of my life. The average height for locals here is 5' 10" for men, 5' 7" for women. The "Midget" thing kind of slipped out - it's a bit of an iside joke with my friends nad colleagues - since I am almost ALWAYS referred to as a "giant" or something to that effect, I refer to people back as "midgets". Entirely in jest and I've never offended anyone with it - or been offended by the "OMG GIANT GWAILO/GAIJIN" label that I get from everyone - including my bosses and teachers. I can see how it could be taken as rascist though.
  7. What? When was I discriminatory? The Type 89 doesn't fit me well. Niether does the M4. I'm too big. That is all.
  8. Great to hear that BE is FINALLY making decent AEGs - I still have nightmares about the BE G36ks I worked on before - but alas, I do not very much like the Type89. Still, BE seem to be making metal bodied AEG clones with decent internals now, so I eagerly await their next release.
  9. Our christmas game on the 28th, about 46 players or so, so ammo ran out pretty quickly - I started the day with 6K bbs and ended up with 1.5K, mainly because I had to borrow someone else's gun as my G3SAS's piston died as I was setting the hop-up, and the gun I borrowed wasn't terribly accurate at all - so I had to do a lot of bursts instead of a few semi shots. On the bright side, I still managed to keep a good KDR in the carpark arena, but that all got *fruitcage*ed to hell when we got into the trenches. Taking them was ok, but holding them was very, very not. On the not quite so b
  10. Oh, heads up guys, ELEMENT just released an X47 bolt and selector set.
  11. Brilliant Indoor CQB game today. Played in the dark mostly, which was awesome fun. NOTE: THE GAS MASK IS NOT BB SAFE AND WAS ONLY PUT ON FOR POSING. I USED A FULL FACE MESH MASK IN GAMES RATED TO 2J. ANYONE WHO DOESN'T USE CORRECT EYE PROTECTION IN GAMES IS A FOOL AND DOES NOT DESERVE THEIR EYES. Total 4 pistols and 1 rubber knife. Trenchcoat is real cow, my trusty HL2 T-shirt and Crye Cut Pants in Black. 2 DL-Custom M9 GBBs in a double shoulder holster, a KWC 4" Colt .357 in a hip holster and a Colt .25 in rear pocket. Got quite a few kills, as trenchcoat is brillia
  12. As far as I know there is no plan for a 6mm version. Also, RS furniture fits with little modification. That is all.
  13. Sorry if I'm a bit anal about room-clearing, but it's a pet peeve of mine.
  14. Your point team should consist of 2-3 men. They sweep forward and clear the staircase whilst the rest hold the bottom and then come up, not everyone at once going up the stairs. Have fun accidentally shooting each other. This is where your guns are all facing in the wrong directions. The man on the left covers the left, man on the right covers the right and the man in the middle covers the front. Once you get to a corner, then you start slicing the pie. As it is now your fire would be dangerously close to each other. The guy on the left should slice the pie around that co
  15. Well, he's wrong. You're all clustered on the stairs, weapons pointed in the wrong directions etc. A single frag grenade on those stairs would have killed most of you outright.
  16. Nah, not very worn at all. What you want to do is tie a rope to the front sight and drag the gun over some concrete. That'd get it worn.
  17. Could we have a few closeups of the bolt and the spring inside? I have the nagging feeling it should be able to take AEG springs.
  18. Doubtful. The 5.56NATO is pretty unstable - it tends to tumble and drop very quickly.
  19. I know that 5.56NATO tends to get better range with longer barrels - but M16a2s get only 550m worth of effective range. Approx 600yards. Out of that length barrel on the Afghan, 700 yards (650m) is not happening. IIRC, Hexagonal rifling doesn't increase range, it increases accuracy and reduces manufacturing costs.
  20. Except much, much cheaper. And still very good.
