  1. That's *suitcase* news mate. Keep the chins up, though, survival rates are up.
  2. I lent someone a set of cobalt M42 drill bits because he was complaining that his standard HSS bits weren't working for his bathroom install stuff. Got them back and he thanked me, told me that he was really impressed at how well they went through steel etc. Then he mentioned that the tiles were a lot harder to drill than he expected. Mention was made of 'the drill bits were glowing white hot!' You don't use cobalt on ceramics. Drilling ceramics requires diamond bits because the heat build up will kill anything else, even 8% cobalt alloy steel. Checked the bits and the 7mm was ultr
  3. Got a phone call last night. Girlfriend's dog had a massive seizure and had to be put down. Girlfriend's mum is distraught. Girlfriend had to send her £100 for the vet bills. Been a fantastic week so far.
  4. 3D printing can do a lot of things. You can manufacture geometries that simply cannot ever be made by subtractive processes and you can prototype things really quickly - but it's not the be-all-and-end-all magic bullet that a lot of people seem to assume it is. I'd say your best bet is to fabricate a new feed tower from a dead AUG hicap, JB weld and a suitably sized spring for a feed tube.
  5. If you'd like, you could PM me some images of the Drum and the interface with the G36 feed tower removed and I'll see what I can do, but for something that size and requiring good strength I'd probably be going with SLS Nylon to avoid delamination and a smooth feed path for good feeding. Which will be pricey. To give you an idea of how pricey: Using a rough estimate of 18x10x3cm, you'll be looking at £60 plus VAT plus postage. You could go with PLA in a standard FDM printer but you'll have a *fruitcage* horrible time of smoothing out the feed path and making sure the latch on the back
  6. If I might do a suggest: The AUG magazine latches use some very sharp acute angles which would make them pretty unsuitable for 3D printing, and at pretty much any price point it'd be very expensive. If you have a spare or dead AUG hicap that you can butcher to make an adaptor, that would probably be stronger and cheaper to make.
  7. Just got my final payslip from the people who fired me on Monday. 8 hours short. Fantastic.
  8. First time I've ever been fired from a job. They gave some very vague and illogical reasons, which I suspect is code for "We don't really have a good reason or we have a reason but if we told you what it was you could sue us". There have been quite a few members of staff leaving quietly over the last few weeks, perhaps they were given their notice, but I had literally 4 days left of my 3 month probationary period so I just got the summary boot. I suspect they knew for a while that they wouldn't be keeping me on board but decided to let me work through the busiest part of the month. N
  9. Got into work this morning and was told I was being let go, effective immediately. 4 days left on my 3 month probationary period. No paid holiday (I should have gotten 10 days over Christmas and the New Year) and I'm going to be effectively only paid for half of the month. Fantastic.
  10. I'd imagine the 20-30fps variation is more of a cause of inaccuracy than the bio bbs.
  11. Very nice. Do you have a link to the aliexpress page for it?
  12. I WAS HATING ON HIPSTERS BEFORE IT WAS MAINSTREAM
  13. Excellent *fruitcage* job mate! The trick is keeping it off, I hear. Because I'm still fat as *fruitcage*.
  14. Widebores are totally worthless. Go for a good quality tightbore (prometheus, PDI, EDGI or Mapleleaf are good shouts) with a flat hop or mapleleaf rubber.
  15. Not a big fan of the PRI triangle foregrips, but that's a pretty slick set up. Kudos!
  16. Unfortunately, the weather was so *suitcasey* that none of our photos turned out usable, but last Sunday, I had my G3 with wood kit, my friend borrowed my HK33 with wood kit and my girlfriend ran her MP5 with wood kit. The roller-delayed wood trifecta was pretty awesome.
  17. Back to the thread's original purpose: I'm going to have to start bringing my GoPro along to games again. Not because I subscribe to the dream of being an interwebby celebby but because yesterday a bunch of about 6 known shady players rocked up to my local site and it was ludicrous. They've been popping up a lot more often these last few months and the scuttlebutt is that they've been booted from the other big local site and so have been searching for other games to ruin. In any case, blatant hit dodging, full auto overkilling at close range (often right after being shot), instant
  18. My girlfriend wanted a wood kit on an MP5. My girlfriend got a wood kit on an MP5. The foregrip modification was quite extensive but it's rock solid now. The new CA MP5s use a faux bolt that opens when you cock the gun, which lets them use an AK style hop up unit which is MILES ahead of the old TM style unit, but for some silly reason they kept the mountings on the cocking tube for the old MP5 hop unit in case you wanted to use a shittier hop up. Said mountings required grinding off as they interfere substantially with the fit of the wood foregrip. Internally, it's one of the new CA M

  20. Probably will at some point. With how happy she is with the build she might pop the question first. The foregrip modification was quite extensive but it's rock solid now. 22. If you are having problems with the FPS being too high, you can reduce the output energy by putting a restrictor disk in front of the flute valve in the nozzle.
  23. I use https://www.17track.net/en which tracks things over multiple carriers, give it a shot. In somewhat related news, I FINALLY got the HK33 and MP5 I ordered from Hong Kong after UKBF managed to check my UKARA number. Only took them SIX *fruitcage* WEEKS Oh, and the sender saved a bit of cash by sending me two boxes instead of one, so I got to pay the ParcelFarce handling fee twice. Yay.
