  1. I'm getting the feeling that you might just possibly like Multicam, FarEast. Is that Motor a Systema? Or one of the new TOP motors? I'm trying to get my hands on a new set of Chinese Motors which appear to be very similar to the TOP ones (OEM?) so I can review them. Would be interesting to see how they match up.
  2. If you mod the front end, yes. The two slots on the frontend trunnion are about 3mm lower on the AKs74u than the standard AK47/74 ones - cut some new ones, fill the old ones, drill a new locating slot for the cocking handle guide rod and that'd do it.
  3. It's better than the standard pot metal - seems to be some sort of aluminium alloy - but it's still an alloy, not steel.
  4. Oh, yes, so all of the myriad ELEMENT parts I've used were utter trash? The 20 or so guns I've upgraded with ELEMENT parts are all trash too? HURRAH FOR SWEEPING GENERALIZATIONS BASED ON A FEW ISOLATED EVENTS.
  5. Craptasmic quality, but here's my HFC M9Comp in game - taken a scant second after I double-tapped an unfortunate adversary in the head.
  6. Oh snap! That barrel/silencer setup looks so sexy! What brand is it? (Also, TM, KSC or WA?)
  7. Btw, for weathering jobs - Use a brillo pad (lightly) on raised parts and edges - really gives that worn metal feel.
  8. Oh yes, very much so. Pity it's not mine - I just painted her and fixed her - the owner had some issues with the reciever latch and wanted a H-hop in her. Now, she shoots 6mm groups at 5m. It's insane.
  9. CYMA AKs74U with black furniture and PBS-1. No, it's not the right silencer. Sue me. Alas, the notch is not bigger, it's LOWER! The tabs on the body are about 3mm lower than on the TM! So, you can mod the TM front to fit, but it's not a straight swap. Still, CYMA AK74m + CYMA AKS74u and some minor modifications will give you a folding stock AK74.
  10. CYMA AKs74U with black furniture and PBS-1. No, it's not the right silencer. Sue me.
  11. UP to you. If you want the better externals, wait for the BOYI. If you want a more reliable gun which has good externals, get the CYMA.
  12. CYMA has always >>> JG in terms of quality. JG's first metal GBs were horrid. JG does win on the amount of different models they have though - that is where JG wins over every other ChiMan. But yeah, CYMA am teh winzors.
  13. BTW, the CYMA clocks at 380fps, has metal bushings and a tightbore as standard. IMO, it's a toss-up between CYMA and UNICORN - I dislike the shiny DBOYS finish. CYMA has the better internals, but Unicorn has the best externals by far.
  14. Gearbox has metal bushings as stock. Also, I reckon it's got a tightbore - though I don't have a set of digital calipers to make sure.
  15. Yeah, we want ones that work. And look nice.
  16. Just a heads-up: It'd be worth checking the Cylinder head and nozzle - A&K are notorious for messing them up. Also, replacing the motor would definately be a step in the right direction. In my experience a CA high-speed gives about 20rps on standard gears at 1J, which can go up to 30rps if tuned right on an 8.4v battery.
  17. No idea. But I'll see if I can swap a TM-style assembly onto it later.
