  1. That hop up unit looks to be a Prime WA to AEG conversion unit that's had the outside machined down a bit. Still very disappointing to see how this is performing poorly and breaking down so often. The huge inconsistency in full auto is also pretty inexcusable.
  2. This 'tech expert', unfortunately, works as the in house tech for a large UK retailer (which might rhyme with Vitriol Face, but I'm certainly not going to say that out loud). The more worrying thing is that not only did that thread get removed, but also two other threads by other people complaining about their EVO's gearsets randomly going boof. Not that the admin of the group works for ASG or anything OH WAIT
  3. Probably the panic button got smacked when the ASG-certified tech outright stated he was re-installing broken gearsets. I wish I had managed to screencap the posts where he started panicking, but alas, they hit the baleet button too fast. Alas.
  4. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1483154278670711/permalink/1912550445731090/ TL;DR: ASG certified EVO tech claims that recent gear failures in newer batches of ASG EVOs is caused by PME, despite clear evidence to the contrary, then claims his theory is correct because he has 'experience' and 'results' which don't mean bumf. Also demonstrates that he doesn't understand differential diagnosis or how physics works. I'm done saying my piece, but *fruitcage* me, why can't I get paid to be this stupid in a professional capacity?
  5. Given that the other place paid £5 an hour and hasn't given me a shift in a month... Yes.
  6. I got a job. Doesn't pay amazingly well but I get to work with doggos. Looks like I'll be able to eat this month!
  7. Sounds like you didn't replace the stock WE barrel? The newer WE GBB barrels and hopup rubbers have different internal measurements than TM (and old WE) GBB spec, but have the same external measurements. What this means is that it's possible to install a TM spec hop up rubber on a WE spec barrel, which leaves a small gap inside that can't be seen from the outside - causing issues like the ones you describe. Either stay with the WE spec barrel and hop up rubber or get a new barrel to go with your hop up rubber. Mapleleaf's new 'Crazy Jet' barrels are good, I hear.
  8. Found out the other day that my UKARA number was *fruitcage*ed because, and I *suitcase* you not, the wally-headed bumtrumpet who put my details into the UKARA database put the starting date and ending date the wrong way around. So I got a UKARA number that started on the 28th of June, 2018, and ended on the 28th of June, 2017. Did I mention I have about £500 worth of AEGs stuck in customs right now, presumably poised above an incinerator?
  9. Were I emperor, the very first thing I would do is make a law requiring all pavements to be split into a 'slow lane' next to the shops/buildings and a 'fast lane' next to the curb. Anyone in the 'fast lane' who stops without good reason for more than 10 seconds would be shot immediately in the head arrested and sent to prison for 3 months. The second thing I would do is pass a law making the Daily Mail, the Sun, the Express and all of their subsidiaries/localised variations use only Comic Sans in bright pink with glitter, with one of those things they put in birthday cards that play music
  10. Yup. My old HTC M9+ was doing fine apart from the headphone port being dead and the battery being old and running itself flat too quickly, so it's getting relegated to work phone duty.
  11. Got my mobile upgraded. Costs me an extra £5 a month and my old phone is on the way out, so it'll get a new SIM and become my work phone. Google Pixel XL. Loving it so far, but it's very jarring how quickly your paradigm can shift: HTC One M9 - 1080p display Google pixel XL - 1440p display Before today, I would have told you the HTC had a sharp, seamless display which was flawless to the eye. Three minutes after using the Pixel XL, I had to transfer files from the HTC and suddenly I can see the individual pixels and it looks slightly blurry. Obviously, this is just m
  12. Ordered a couple of H&K AEGs from Classic Army in HK three weeks ago. Took them 4 days to get the UKARA details on the sides of the boxes and shipped, 2 days to reach the UK aaaaaand it's been 8 days 'Held for customs inspection'. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
  13. AFAICT: Glocks = APS 1911s = KJW Shotguns = JG

  15. That's more of a problem with Insurance companies making up rules and definitions to maximise the amount of money they can squeeze out of you.
  16. Fitted the new shower heater yesterday - in the instructions there's a big *fruitcage* off warning that you can only use a 15mm push fit elbow joint to connect it up, NOTHING ELSE. So: 1) Why then, if this is the only fitting you can use, is there not one included in the package? 2) Why, if not included, is this particular piece of information not plastered front and *fruitcage* centre on the outside of the box? Long story short, had to spend 3 hours on buses and nearly a fiver on bus fare to go to the nearest B&Q to pick up a part that cost £1. On the plus side, I have hot
  17. Literally the day after walking out of my job, shower heater element goes boof. Cost of new element: £77 Cost of brand new shower heater unit with more capacity and better wattage: £88 Cost of plumber: £120 + VAT per hour, plus parts on top So I am now installing a new shower heater unit myself.
  18. Boss comes in 6 hours late, screams at everyone for not doing his job for him. I ask him if I can be paid minimum wage, he refuses, I walk out.
  19. Check the motor connections. Very common to have them slip off the motor and leave you with a dead gnu.
  20. I'd frigging murder for some 40rnd magazines to cut up and fit to my HK33.
  21. Just remember to fart as loudly as possible at the beginning and give them your best glare to assert your dominance over the crowd. After that it's a piece of cake.
  22. ###### hell, mate, that's rough. Sorry for your loss.
  23. Thanks for the offer but I'm working with a tiny budget and HPA stuff requires a fairly hefty investment in tanks, regulators and such and so forth. As it stands in any case, I'm going to be focusing mainly on AEGs and GBBs, especially as the recent changes in law in the UK make HPA power testing a bit gray on the old legality bit.
