  1. thanks, i did use krylon, aswell as tamiya and humbrol paints, it has so many colours i cant even count them, maybe 8 or 10, i just very lightly sprayed one then another then another on various parts of the gun then oversprayed using other colours till i built up the finish you see on the gun now, its been like that for a while its its worn down in places revealing the colours underneath and that just adds to the effect
  2. heres my m16 in its latest pattern, any comments welcome regards......kwiky
  3. awesome picture joe, very artistic, i think ive found myself a new desktop background
  4. thanks lucky, she's a big girl, but i love her ive still never used the m733 in a game but i think its gonna feel weird at first, im so used to the big gun im not sure im gonna like the feel of such a shorty, it feels a bit girly
  5. just finished re-painting my m733, its my "night fight" gun so i went for a predominatly black scheme with lighter tan to break it up abit, theres also some green and a few brown tones thrown in there aswell regards.............kwiky
  6. thanks for your input and no need to be sorry the m4a1 with the solid stock was my first ever paintjob on a rifle and is my least favourite, its now owned by a team mate of mine and he likes it so wont let me re paint it although if i show him this thread it may change his mind the mp5k is owned by the same team mate and used solely as a sniper back up weapon, it needed to blend in when hung on him from a sling, he said paint it so i did, i like that paintjob although i will admit it would of been better on an armalite the m4 with the LE stock was done after consuming way too
  7. i get too carried away mate, i just cant help myself, its on its 6th paint job now, i find paint gun almost as much funas using them seriously though, with th m16 (my main weapon) im just playing around with different painjobs at the moment, i have them all photographed so once ive finished experimenting i can pick my favourite for each time of year and then stick with that one until the seson changes, funnily enough the khaki/olive one is winning as my all round favourite at the moment but for his time of year i think the current one (above) will be more effective in the thick vegetatio
  8. well i decided to get the clan together for a photoshoot, each with a different paintjob for a different season/purpose, pick your favourite and let me know which one and why
  9. hehe yeah i can see the similarity, i didnt notice that lol yeager, its an A3 mate;)
  10. iv just added my teams badge to the stock of my gun, i used a homemade stencil and khaki krylon we're called raptor squad any comments appreciated regards........kwiky
  11. thanks, i didnt think anyone would notice tbh, i like it alot better aswell, it looks more realistic now i think, soldiers dont have time to do fancy paintjobs like i had, ive gone for the simple look, just olive and khaki krylon and i think it works great, im keeping it like that from now on, i reckon it'll only improve as it starts to wear abit regards........kwiky
  12. thanks everyone, its hard to say exactly because ive been working on it slowly for a while, constantly modifying it, but if someone handed me a gun and asked me to paint it from scratch i'd guess it would be finished in 2-3 hours, thats including waiting for the paint to dry between coats, the best bit is the cost, i didnt use any fancy krylon so it was really cheap to do, in total it cost me under £10 seeing as a few people have commented heres how i did it, i used: olive drab tamiya spraypaint (£3) homebase matt buddha (brown) emulsion (tester pot 99p) humb
  13. some new pics, ive just added some striping to the paint work to lighten it slightly and further break the pattern up, the rifle is nearly complete, just waiting to get my new m120 big bore top end and then it finished comments?? regards.......kwiky
  14. looking good there gadge, thats how i usually apply it (although not quite as well) but like i said, it was pouring down when i did it so i thought i'd put it on thicker than normal, as for the knee pads, i have arthritis in both my knees so i wear medical knee supports under my tousers and they interfere with my knee pads when i wear them underneath, thats the reason i wear them over the top, i agree they dont look very good but i suffer terribly if i kneel on rough terrain without them, because of that im forced to go with whats practical instead of what looks good thanks for
