  1. Do I have an eye for 1911 airsoft parts or what? Very nice Ed Brown. Not many appreciate or know about those models. Do you have some more details on this piece for us? Front sight looks kinda special. So do the checkerings on front an back of the grip. Custom engraved? Like the Special Forces marking? Nice unique piece Any detail on the Jim Wilson Model? Basis? Planed parts?
  2. Nineball slide? Or WA basis? Nice work.
  3. No metal kits at all, only one metal slide: • TRP is Marui based custom piece, ABS/fibre glas • Springfield Custom 1911 is based on Marui 1911A1 with PGC Springfield metal slide and Hicapa internals (added together with Koba spacer) • WA Kimber Warrior is stock, only real G10 Warrior grips • WA Kimber Marsco is stock, Proud replica grips (have original Gunners, but they are black) • Marui MEU stock, with original Pachmayrs • WA Wilson Combat SDS, all stock Have no experience with metal WAs yet, but they kick is pretty strong and crisp in the ABS version already (quite more

  5. The Dawson rail can be seen on my Marsoc/ICQB. It's this small one. This attachable systems are pretty popular. Surefire has some, too.

  9. Don't have enough space to put all my 1911s on one picture. Well, I'll try … … I tried, here's my current single stack collection as a quick shot … well, I obviously seem to be a Wilson style Magazine guy :
  10. Wow, Sanko has great stuff I haven't seen with other onlinestores yet. Boom Arms to me was the most versatile shop before. They have stuff no one else has outside Japan.
  11. Uh, full metal? Well that will be the value of a compact car there Maybe there will come up some more metal kits when the tiki hits the dealers. Was quite newly anounced, around december if I recall right. Most of the newly released models haven't found their way to the big known asia retailers yet.
  12. StgHanzo, your MEU looks nice. Great photos. Here's my duotone TRP, finally with beavertail installed and therefore finished project.

  15. You know WA has released two TIKIs?
  16. ThaFlash, not to missunderstand each other, I mean this kind of slide unlock (after this guy empties the clip quickly): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqBW4S630YY...feature=related The normal twohanded unlock, where the thumb of the supporting hand unlocks the slide catch, is possible of course (for right handed shooters ). Anyone got one of those fancy new WA releases? Texas Rangers 1911? Tiki? The Recon Talon with sand frame?
  17. ThaFlash, very nice work. Beautiful Glock. I suppose this has excellent ergonomics with the reshaped grips. This camelback thing of the standards glocks gives a lot of guys a hard time.
  18. Oh Ruger Mk1, sweeet. Already the GBB version? Good?
  19. Thanks for the info. I started the beavertail thread now on the just pistol section. Better than to spam the picture thread with my question. I think I saw the file down version once or twice. Possibly one was Romolus' work. I'll have a search for the 1911 pic. Thanks for the hint.
  20. Half cock (savety position) works with Marui. I know that. But full decocking didn't workt with the 1911 GBBs I tested (Marui, no WA). But I do prefer tactical reload option over possible hammer decocking anyday. A bitty my two SCW WA 1911s don't support that. I heard this wasn't possible because of built in gas system WA uses. I don't know if Magnas and SCWs are different here.
  21. What? WA supports decocking? I have to try that directly on my Warrior. That's cool. The pitty thing is, WA doesn't support tactical reloads (when slide is locked back, mag is changed and you just pull back the slide a bit to unlock the slide catch and have the gun ready to fire again. With Maruis and KSC Glocks I know this works. With my SCW-WAs it doesn't. Can anyone report on real steel drop in Beavertails for Marui? My project is Marui based. Thanks for the hint, BigAl
  22. You can decock original 1911 hammers only manually by holding the hammer back with finger while pulling trigger and guiging the hammer back in uncocked position. Not possible with airsofts (only with modification as Redwolf showed once in a report). I have a question to all this craftsman experts around here. Want to file down the back of the 1911A1 frame to fit a standard beavertail. 1) Anyone experiences if I could use a real steel Wilson Drop in beavertail for A1 frames? 2) or anyone a tipp with which tools and techniques I can get a good filing result? Thanks. My OD blackish
  23. Marui Springfield Custom (work in Progress, beavertail, Commander hammer and Wilson style grips to come) The really nice grey black contrast of this build doesn't come out very well on the pictures. The 1911A1 fame is grey.
