Awesome, thanks for the reply! I was thinking about picking one up in RG. I'm happy with my LBT6094 but after trying my buddy's CPC I think I need one.
-
Is that the Solidfox CPC? Of so what do you think of it?
-
Nice, I like it. I vote you keep this one.
-
The real ones are 785g, which is only 135g more than the PVS15. Plus it more than doubles the operator's field of view. Pretty awesome in my opinion.
-
As far as I know it stands for "identification, friend or foe", which usually consists of an infrared emitting or reflecting device such as flags, strobes or chemlights.

Stl, Beta08, where did you get those gorgeous Opmod XPS's from? They're replica's?
I've once seen them mounted on a rail coupled with an Opmod magnifier... want it so bad.
Can you set me on track?
/ Offtopic, sorry
Yessir, they are replicas. I got mine from t-tiger on ASF but I'm afraid I got the last one. However, you can still get them from a few retailers online.

I've been meaning to throw some updated pics of my mk18 up for a while but this will have to do for now:
-
Nice! I really like that.
-
So what is the hammer for?
Edit: Seriously.
Breaching I would guess.
Sweet carrier man. I've always wanted one.

I can't say for sure... I had about 20 pounds of gear in there the other day and they did start to slip out, which is why I am thinking thicker velcro would help. That's another reason why I am investing in the First Spear shoulder pads as well. If you look at my LBT pads, the top portion only has a strip of hook while the FS are completely covered allowing wider strips on the attachment. Eagle does something very similar with their DPC except they have female buckles I believe... let me find a picture.
Yep:
-
Brilliant carrier setup mate, really nice kit selection. Do you have any pictures that show how you've attached all the buckles for the TT pack? I've got the Grey Ghost ruck that's basically identical and it'd be very handy to be able to just clip that on to a PC.
Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Sorry for the wait on the pack details. I've been exceptionally lazy the past few days. This is what I came up with for now:
The front "QASM" (or whatever they are) buckles actually came with the pack. The buckles velcro'd under the shoulder straps used to be MALICE buckles (also came with the pack) until i stripped them down to just a piece of webbing and sewed the hook and loop on. If I were to do it again I would definitely use wider webbing for the top buckle attachment and about twice the width of velcro for more weight-bearing capabilities.

Yessir. The TT Removable Operator Pack.

Thanks dude. It's my buddie's RMR but once mine comes in I'll get to work... I can't imagine it being that hard.
Also, it's an HK3P believe it or not. Having owned 2 upgraded TM's before I am insanely impressed.
-
Yessir, RMR. It's just sitting on top until I make a mount for it and mill the slide or find an easier option.
*Le Edit: Anyone know of any TM-compatible suppressor- or extra-tall iron sights that would allow a co-witness with the RMR?

Sneak preview...

I actually don't even have that flash hider on there anymore; an AAC took it's place. But yeah I agree, it annoys me too. I didn't have enough spacers at the time to properly align it.
-
Yup, that's exactly what I was going for. Thanks bud.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

Hey guys, I was hopIng I could get an opinion or two. I am purchasing a new radio for an OP coming up and have the chance to get either a Motorola HT1000 or Icom F4s-4 for around the same price. Is there one that is blatantly "better" than the other? They both seem to be popular choices here. Also, the Motorola is the 403-470 MHz version. Will this be compatible with standard Talkabout models?
Thanks a lot.

I guess this is just an MK18 page. I was going to wait to unveil mine until the gadgets came in, but after painting my 553 so well, I have to show it off.

Cool, what paint did you use on the metallic bits?

Nice, reminds me a lot of the Kryptek Highlander pattern.
